Yes we do have The missions-many students visit for their mission project
Students at Creighton Prep make a South Omaha pilgrimage and visit 9 churches on a school day. All old, ethnic parishes.

A3: My students and I "visited" The Church of the Holy Sepluchre via virtual trip.
Yes. It really brings the book alive.
A3: Our 4th grade Ss do a Missionn Project. Some are able to visit their Mission w/their family.

A3: I would love for our Ss to do more virtual visits of sacred sites through out the country but also globally.
Italy is amazing. You feel the presence of God and the saints everywhere.
My Ss virtually went to Boston for History, but I have never thought to use virtual travel in Religion. Thanks!
A4: At the Grotto, the ss learned to see art as an expression of faith.
we did a google Expedition of the Holy Land and in Rome. Ss loved it.
A4: Ss learn about different artifacts and locations, sometimes discuss learning, sometime write abt it

A4: At Trinity Heights, ss go on a "fact hunt" to explore the different areas. This includes time for quiet prayer.

A5 Virtually for free! Last year made the traditional Lenten pilgrimage to 7 churches virtually
A4: Ss learned about our French, Spanish, and African American heritage and history of New Orleans.

My mother told me all abt Miraculous Medal shrine visited as child-we recently visited. She is in her 90's
A6. We take a field trip to the Basilica and John Paul 2 shrine in D.C. The basilica has good online resources too.

A7: planting a seed- that Ss or their families should seek out sacred sites in the area they live or are visiting.
Draw comparison of physical journey to spiritual journey. Church is much broader and diverse than we sometimes think
A7 It is a great way to learn and explore about Mary, saints, and miracles.
A7 Shows children and grown ups that our life is like a larger pilgrimage to Heaven
A7: Ss had idea "pilgrimage" was something ancient-didn't realize it can be NOW for them, even as pre-teens and teens.
A7: Ss can recognize that God is present in all things/places & expands their worldview.
A7: Helped Ss to understand where we got our cluster's name from-it's the Pilgrim Cluster.
Q.7 I value the preparation before the pilgrimage.
A7: When Ss go on a pilgrimage they learn that life is a journey. Take in & absorb the beauty and history of faith

A7: It also allows Ss to seek out pilgrimage opportunities as they get older.

There are so many movies and books out there to get kids excited about our faith, our show included, of course.

I know. I have really enjoyed watching my Ss start to realize that saints lived lives that are relatable.
I may assign another saint project using those books. We did a Saint "Wax Museum" in the fall, it was a hit!
