Thank you for visiting #ksedchat. We welcome all educators to our chat that runs Mondays at 8 p.m. Central. Though many of our educators have their homes in Kansas, all teachers are welcome to pop in and join in on the learning.
A1: I utilized a LOT of Cliff & Spark Notes as a student :/ As a teacher, I love anthologies & memoirs bc I can pick up the book weeks later (which happens often) and still understand what I'm reading #ksedchat
Good people, good sharing on #MEMSPAchat Thursdays at 7PM CT!! And lots of fun! Join the positive energy and add to the stream of ideas, experiences. cc: #ksedchat#moedchat#eduAR
This would be a great book study with Department Chairs/ Building Leadership teams! Or even as an Instructional Coach book study. Hattie’s 10 mindframes are a great distillation of what makes a reflective teacher. #team512#LeadLAP#LearnLAP#IMMOOC#ksedchat#kansanscan
A1: My confession involves writing! Don't like doing it. Must be why I like to Tweet so much. Fewer words the better for me! Making my #KTOY19 application very difficult though! #nerdcampks#ksedchat
A1: Rachel from @BuhlerUSD313#uvlearn 4th grade teacher. Here is my stack. No, I will not read all of them over break but I panic if I don’t have options. #ksedchat
Same. AR kills the love of reading. No one should read because it fits their level, they should read because it fuels their love to read. Is it that important to make sure kids are actually reading books? Do we get penalized for not finishing books we don’t like? #ksedchat
#ksedchat a1: David, 2nd from Valley Center Kansas. My reading list is a bunch of scholarly articles on social skill instruction for my masters in ed tech!
A1: I was an AR addict as a kid. Because I read for points I read books as fast as possible and forgot about them as soon as I took the test. It is still how I read today, no matter how hard I try to slow down or remember my favorite books. ☹️ #ksedchat
I just got it in the mail. Someone (totally know her profile pic but cannot remember her name. Darn it!) recommended it to me last week! Will definitely read it this week! #ksedchat

Just today. One question will be posted each morning this week. We’re doing a slow chat this week because many of us in south central KS are on spring break this wk! #ksedchat
A1 confession: I am a completionist. I read most books end-to-end in one day. I also go on a summer bender where I read all the books in a series in a row. Right now I read 15 books by Jim Butcher planned for when the 16th comes out. #ksedchat
