Q1: How often is collaborative group work incorporated in your lessons?
during science daily, math and ela more partner than group
My collaborative is incorporated in my groups with every subject, everyday.
A1: I try to use it everyday. Ss learn from each other more than me sometimes
Question #2: How does collaborative group work
DEFINE RIGOR?
Is anyone else in Global Communication?
Every activity, every assi gnments must be in higher order thinking skills, for you to have rigor in your lessons.
Q3: How do your students have VOICE in a
collaborative group work environment? How do you ensure each student is heard?
Well I'm going to sign off now, Nice chatting with you all.
daily! Kids need to collaborate!
I am not sure who all is chatting. But I will keep posting questions!
each S has certain # of popsicle sticks that they use each time they respond
Q4: why do you think collaborative group work
is important in creating 21st century learners? Or does it not matter?
that's a good idea, but "you can't get lost in a pair."
kids need the 5C's- those "soft skills" are very important.
it means that partner work is best, because someone isn't left out of the conversation.
I will throw out one last question
Q5: What would you say to encourage and inspire a teacher who is ANTI-GROUP to use collaborative group work in their
lessons?
but isn't it an important skill for the students to be practicing active listening in a small group? https://t.co/tq4b39mCPv
it means that partner work is best, because someone isn't left out of the conversation.
yes, I think small group work is good too, but it has to be monitored so all students can participate.
can't leave a man behind.
ask how much they learn by working by themselves? We all learn by collaborating, so the Ss learn that way too
we all learn by collaborating w/ others. that's what we are doing on Twitter!!
