    A1: There are so many things to be proud of at Owen this year, but probably what makes me the most proud are the many stories of staff members going way out of their way to support kids whether it is at school or at a student's weekend soccer game! #MEMSPAchat

    A1: So much pride! We do a Dolphin Dash for our kids and partner with and at our high school. The pep band plays, dance squad performs, etc. it is such positive school community building. #MEMSPAchat

    A1: at the start of the year, I had a spreadsheet that I shared with my whole team. This allows me to surprise them with goodies, positive notes, and other surprises throughout the year. As well, we share good news whenever we meet. This allows us to connect more! #MEMSPAchat

    Generally, I connect with my coworkers and admin by taking the time to learn something about them and ask them about it from time to time. This shows them that you listen and care about them beyond the work-related communication. #MEMSPAchat

    A2: I seek staff out to connect. I ask their opinions on things. I seek their vision for what they want to see happen. I try to involve them in helping shape how I see things. We are a team. I may be a leader, but without the team, I can't do anything. #MEMSPAchat

    A2: Small thing - I enjoy when I get the opportunity to hang in the staff lounge at lunch connecting and laughing. Big thing - I host a end of the year staff family party at my home...bounce houses, karaoke, kayaks, paddle boats #memspachat

    A5: We do "Bucketfiller of the month" from every staff member in the school - so about 35 kids a month are honored for being kind and caring. The kids love being honored and new this year we do a school wide assembly so all kids are aware of the amazing behaviors #memspachat

    A5: ONE - our 7th grade team has doughnuts/juice one a month for 15-20 students that are meeting and exceeding expectations (character and PRIDE). TWO - we go into classrooms every week, stop class, and recognize a teacher or student w/coffee or tee shirt. #MEMSPAchat

    A7: Adaptive Schools has been a game changer. The inclusion activities generally bring a laugh, a lightness and a connection to the group! Oh and food, food is always a great idea!! :) #MEMSPAchat

    A7: have humor. But last year had teachers write any question they wanted answered on an envelope. On index cards other teachers had opportunity to write suggestions. It was a lot of fun and personal. #MEMSPAchat

      A6: Teachers give so much of themselves in my building--always doing what is best for our students. I can never do enough to thank them, but I try to support them with notes and tokens of appreciation. I also shout to the world how truly amazing they are. #MEMSPAchat

    A7: Insist that staff meetings are intentional and purposeful. Easier said then done, I agree. However, make sure to email what simply needs "shared" and engage in professional dialogue what improves our craft and makes us better educators. #memspachat

    A7: Haven’t lead a staff meeting, but I’ve lead PD sessions. I’m a laid back kind of guy, so keeping the mood relaxed, including humor (kind of part of that whole person thing we were taking about in the last question), and keeping it short, sweet, and to the point. #MEMSPAchat

    A7: We have "hosts" that bring snacks and a "Staff Spotlight" where one staff member shares something that they're proud of that they've implemented in their classroom. I've also promised to leave "housekeeping" information to emails to show that I value their time. #MEMSPAchat
