Q1: Have you and your Ss participated in Read Across America Day in the past?
. We got about 3 inches. Country roads couldn’t get cleared in time for school. Most of it melted today.

A1- Our school always does a spirit week for Read Across America Week. We also have guest readers from CO and local high schools

We've done little things in the past but nothing big... Need some new ideas
we do guest readers from fire dept, PD, local baseball teams and each day is a spirit day too!

Q4: How could you get Ps and community members more involved in ?
I have done it both ways. I like to let the kids pick the books! It is always a great way to get kids reading
A4: Inviting community members to share their favorite books!
A4: Create a Google Form to ask Ps and community leaders to come in for 30 mins. to read and share it widely.

A6: It can't help but generate excitement; sharing; connecting to other readers - it won't have to stop on that day, either.

A6 I see it more as re-energizing reading and a spark to get us through this time of year.
