No - there is a testing window of about 6 weeks, and the school just fits it in based on how they can distribute the chromebook carts to each classroom. We aren't 1:1, so we lose access until testing is completed. I think it took 4 weeks for us this year. #bfc530
And here, many schools start after Labor Day. It dates back to when the children were needed to help on the farms. I like starting before Labor Day. Ss are easier to teach in August than in June. #bfc530

It would mean the water-proofing has failed. Under the Australian Building Code (if you lived here obviously) you would need a Licenced Builder & probably a Structural Engineer. Depending on the source maybe a plumber too! It’s a serious issue! Sorry for the unhappy news! #bfc530

For sure! Have you noticed any cracks in walls, doors etc, that have recently closed up? Caveat, I’m a Teacher not a builder but am on the Executive Committee of my apartment block and often deal with maintenance issues. #bfc530
My suggestion, start with a reputable licenced builder and get them to inspect and quote and explain what needs to be done. Multiple quotes work well also. #bfc530

If you did notice that with cracks, it could be a sign of the foundations moving. So not seeing that is good. Could be a pipe leaking, or a drainage issue. Chat to your builder but there most likely is some money involved in fixing it. #bfc530
We start the Tuesday after Labour Day and finish June 28. I would like to finish mid June and go back mid-August. Daylight is shorter and nights can be cooler. School can be a BBQ in June (many have no air). #bfc530
