Keep compasses far from magnets, and preferably spread out from one another. Super cheap compasses have 2 yr lifespan, max.

Thing that have helped my Ss are to keep their hand rigid, and that they can lift the paper to visualize without having to contort their arm

For some reason Ss treat a misaligned compass worse than a overstretched spring. Equipment really needs care & replacement.
