A1- Assessments should be designed to measure the learning goal/essential question from the curriculum. Where possible, Student choice should also be allowed. #AoBEdChat
A1-various ways to assess (tests projects, reflections) various formats (student choice) variation in assessment difficulty (critical thinking v. recall) #AoBedchat

Some ways I differentiate my assessments are by giving them choices to act out parts of the assessment (ss,science, religion), say part of it out loud to the teacher, give students a choice to write out their answers, draw pictures and describe their picture, etc. #AoBEdChat
A1 -One of the first things to consider when designing assessments is whether the assessment is formative or summative. Formative assessments will guide the teacher to what the student needs in order to meet the final objective/standards. They can be short and quick. #AoBEdChat
Q8 - I like to meet with each student individually to review their strengths and areas of improvement, sometimes I do not have time for this so we review as a class or groups, or ones who need the extra confidence #AoBEdChat

A3- By working and getting ideas from a PLN, I focus on new strategies. Listening to student voice and feedback about what they feel is beneficial is key as well. #AoBEdChat
A4- Many times I will start with basics of recall- they will use this as the assessment scaffolds and by the end, we are looking at Webb's DOK 3 or 4 #AoBEdChat
@charmingharpist I think it can be positive to share Ss data in the classroom. Either by name or by number. Showing trends and setting goals is valuable. Itās about having a growth mindset. #aobedchat
Q.7 - I always ask how can I get better. How can the data help me do more for the students. Data needs to be more than a reflection of how students are performing. I evaluate if Iām asking the right questions and data helps me shape differentiated lessons #AoBEdChat
I like to use Boom Cards, and plickers. This way I can immediately see the data that is collected from these apps. Both of these apps give immediate data. #AoBEdChat
A13: Create assessments that are easy to grade digitally. Have clear rubrics for creative assessments. Accept different ways that Ss can communicate their knowledge. #AoBEdChat
A14: I believe that the more times Ss see and interact with the content, the more it āsticks.ā I love that they ask to take things over. If it makes sense, I let them! #AoBEdChat
A17: If Ss havenāt mastered something after 2-3 times, moving on is best so they donāt get frustrated. Ts should note this and try to tie the knowledge in with future lessons. #AoBEdChat
This is the perfect opportunity for the teacher to reflect on her teaching strategies as well. Maybe teach in a different way or using different methodologies will reach those students who did not achieve the objective. #AoBEdChat

I would like to try and use more assessments digitally next year. Also, I like the idea of showing pre and post test scores (without names) to the students so they can see the improvement #AoBEdChat
