-
Tonight’s questions are full of PBL conversation starters!
-
-
-
A1: Stands out: Our county is green. Good. Only 56% of kids use tech in class? I find that odd.
-
Glad you posted the link. These old eyes were struggling.
-
A1: Biggest standout is student access. Great but I agree with only 56%.
-
100% of districts offer wifi to students and 88% have internet at home! This is good news and helpful w/PBL
-
Participating districts are finding huge growth opportunities after asking students about frequency of use https://t.co/Zfyj87vHhn

-
A1. Stands out that teachers want to learn more about how to integrate tech in their classrooms
-
A1: Definitely blends with what our kids said today in our presentation. 73% use phones for gaming.
-
Absolutely BECAUSE we all know learning doesn’t only happen between 4 walls and butts in seats https://t.co/oLXedNnLOW

Looks like a teacher choice instead of accessibility some Ts are still scared of Tech

-
A1: almost 90% of students have internet access at HOME! :)
-
A1: Just taking them through student voice, I'm not at all surprised with the uploading stat.
-
Especially for design, how can we pull more gamification into learning? https://t.co/CzMxefhrp9
-
-
A1: Definitely blends with what our kids said today in our presentation. 73% use phones for gaming.
-
A1: Solid vision but still a gap in that vision and actual practice. I also worry about equitable access... even if it is 2%.
-
A1: Imagine Academy stats stood out to me right away. So proud to have ours up and running thanks to - love her.
-
Does this stat also include those with phone internet only? https://t.co/UggUgmcm7B

Ts are looking for PD in areas that correspond to skills Ss find “easy” and vice versa. That’s a gap. https://t.co/vshsM5RM0j

-
Dana-Symsonia Ele.-teacher- wanted to check out the PBL chat
-
71 % of the districts have access to ... many do not know that and where are the other 29%?
-
A1: Also think the GAFE movement is playing a huge role in all of this. Revolutionizing the way we teach and learn.
-
-
Q2: What tools/resources would you recommend to Ts exploring ? (design, collab, presentation…) https://t.co/VgJWfACDLu
-
I would like to chat with the 10% of teachers who believe that doe sNOT enhance learning...
-
Fo reelz! https://t.co/WuFYdXOVx4

I would like to chat with the 10% of teachers who believe that doe sNOT enhance learning...
-
Yes! As I travel around and talk about GAFE, I'm always shocked that districts don't know it's free
-
Having access to Google and using it are two different things, right?
-
A4: Ever-expanding collection of resources at https://t.co/ZPHNJd2Ov7 Check out the pins on the board (among others).
-
YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION!
-
A2 : Google offers so much - collab= Google hangouts/docs/slides. Both from the teacher and student standpoint
-
I helped a teacher from northern kentucky access her account... she told me she didn't have access...
-
Absolutely! And using collaborative tools at different levels of integration matters too! https://t.co/gVZKu2T9Bc

I always enjoy helping Ts understand that PBL is everywhere! Real world. is a pro at turning boring math into problem-BL
-
-
-
If you are new PBL, what advise would you give someone? Our Ts need to hear it.
-
-
Starts from top- Have to get in and show superintendents how to use it in their districts-then Ps in their schools
-
Q3: I like to focus on the authentic learning, inquiry happening THROUGHOUT unit. Then the assessment is occurring in real time.
-
-
Josh Trosper AP Bell County Schools A2. is a great collaboration tool that could be adapted for students
-
A3 Integration and modeling is key - Ps to Ts and then Ts-Ss. Support is key, too I agree District admin need to learn it, too!
-
Also, start small with transitioning a lesson within a unit. Make it manageable so Ts can feel success and see it is manageable.
-
-
-
-
They need models... they need support... they need reassurance...
-
A3 I also think Ts need time to try one thing at a time...throwing a thousand things at them is tough...even if I think that way :)
-
A3. Have Ts work with other Ts who understand what PBL is and how it works. Give time for collab
-
A3: Models. Plenty of PD. Don't just expect it to "happen"
-
-
Time to play :) https://t.co/8zhV9aNPGN

-
A4: We haven't but I can see the connection and the power.
-
KY’s was built on principles starting back in 1994…before was a thing. 22 yrs strong & a unique asset for KY
-
A4: We have said we have STLP...but we really didn't have STLP.
-
The results in the classroom...
-
A4. Our STLP coach is a great role model. does a great job with STLP and others see the benefits for kids
-
Too much focus on the end result and not on the journey. In classroom and
