Meagan Edwards checking in from the Great @GrissomHisd!!! My break will include reading, relaxing and reflecting over this past year. So much has happened in 12 months I need remember this beautiful rollercoaster! #HISDAdminChat
A2: Remaining focused on the Wildly Important. For Codwell, that’s increasing our school wide reading levels (all grades). The pressure of testing can take your eye off of primary. #HISDAdminChat
Continue growing my abilities as an instructional leader for all content areas. If we ever want to lead a campus, we cannot be narrowed/dependent on one strength #HISDAdminChat

A2. An area of growth for me is transitioning from being a building leader to a district leader. My current role and the Aspiring Superintendent Cohort helps, but I still have much I want to learn. #HISDAdminChat

A1: 1. Having the opportunity to work on campuses that were equipped w/ the personnel & resources to effectively meet the needs of the whole child (#A180) 2. Serving alongside educators who love students & the work. 3. Seeing students grow academically & socially. #HISDAdminChat
A3. I wish blessings, safety, and growth on all of the stakeholders we all work with. It truly takes a village to serve our communities and I wish this for everyone not only in Texas, but around the world. #ChildrenEverywhereMatter! #HISDAdminChat
A3: Before we leave, I’d like staff to have their end in mind for when we return so they can TRULY sharpen the saw on their well deserved break; check in with Ss on their reading plans for break; and have fun with kiddos this week! #HISDAdminChat
Q3: I want my staff to know I have their backs; my students I want to know they are safe with us; and our parents to know we think of their child as a valued member of our school district. #HISDAdminChat
A2: Next semester, I’d like to spend more time supporting my students in their extracurricular pursuits & in their community work. Making those connections away from the campus builds trust, which is crucial as we strive to meet our academic goals in the classroom. #HISDAdminChat
I wish for them to enjoy their break and take some personal time for themselves that does not involve work. A healthy mind is a wealthy mind. #HISDAdminChat
A3: My wish for our school community is that they’d take a minute to celebrate the gains & wins that we’ve already seen, that they feel the love & appreciation from their leaders & colleagues that often goes unexpressed & that they’d plan to rest over the break. #HISDAdminChat
Q2: I never want to stop growing!!!! My focus area for 2019 is the Principalship. That is a huge umbrella but it is what I must get right! #HISDAdminChat
