A1: I’ve got to admit I was a little intimidated when I took on a new course this year (Honors Geometry). At first, I was just surviving but then developed the curriculum and the discussions so that I could best prepare these kids for their future #waledchat
Hi, Beth from RI. 1st grade teacher in MA. I can’t think of anything that makes me unique, but I am a Gold Award recipient and Lifetime Member of GSUSA. #waledchat

Something that makes me unique???? I speak Spanish and love to organize- like A LOT! tabs, color coding- yup, that’s me. #WaledChat#LoveLiteracyLearning
A1: I am continually working to get better at using @scratch. I love the feeling of getting a code to finally run perfectly, but I know there's always more I can learn! #waledchat
A1: I have always wanted to learn to play piano. I received a keyboard as a gift from @LBStrunk a few years ago and worked night and day (sorry, LB) to learn. It was an amazing feeling once I finally was able to play the Star Wars theme and some other fun songs! #waledchat
A1. I wanted to become better in RTI and making sure that all students were getting what they needed. I feel like I have grown a lot and made huge strides in this area. #waledchat
A1 I have worked very hard the past few years to get better at learning and using tech. It does not come easy to me, but I feel like I have climbed a mountain when things work as I planned! #waledchat
A1.1: Not in education, but mine is distance running. Started barely being able to run 5 minutes, but over time I added distance until I ran a marathon (twice). Now, I'm back at the bottom (3 miles a day). Gotta build back up. #waledchat
A1 Preparing and leading provincial conferences for my job. Changing the format and leading in creative and innovative ways. I sometimes had to fight for what I believed in, but it always worked. It made a difference. #waledchat
A1: I was taking a number theory course, and I struggled at the beginning but was proactive in regards to going to office hours and getting help from my amazing professor. My professor said I grew a lot during the semester, and I felt proud after that. #waledchat
A1. Some kids take longer to "get it". Be patient. There have been may kids that I could have given up on. Several have gone on to be teachers. #patience. #waledchat
A1: I struggled through learning many items in the world of video editing to get things just the way I wanted. It was a great feeling to see the reactions of those viewing the final product! All worth it!
#waledchat
A1: Three things: public speaking, push ups and getting over my fear of the dark. All three were difficult in different ways and made me feel a different sense of pride.
#waledchat
A1: I've been trying to learn how to play the ukulele; last week when I gave a luncheon keynote, I tried playing and singing at the same time and ended up showing them what the words "productive struggle" mean. It wasn't smooth, at all. #growthmindset#waledchat
A1.2: The feeling of accomplishment is amazing, especially when I am really good at being really bad at lots of activities. Running was something that came naturally. I just needed to learn how to pace myself. #waledchat
A1 when I first became a GRT I felt like I was flying by the seat of my pants learning content for every grade. I now feel like I have a much better grasp on the objectives for K-5 #waledchat
A1: This year I have worked to improve student engagement and the overall experience for Ss in my class. I picked up #ditchbook and #tlap and kept going from there creating my own PD and connecting to others through Twitter! #waledchat
A1 I always struggle with getting scheduling done. I told four of my teachers to ask me where I was at. It kept me going and I got it done. Saved a ton of time next year. I needed help!!!felt great #waledchat
A1: I live for A-Ha momenta. The moment of "Yes! I got it." I try to have several of these little "get better at its" going at once. Recently, it's been web design, sketching/sketch noting, and figuring out how to be a better leader. Mini A-Ha moments galore! #waledchat
A1: Skiing! Snowplowed the "green circle" slope for hours on a Friday night in MS. End of the night, I was ready to upgrade and have kept skiing since. #waledchat
A1: 1st year as an IC so there was a lot of ups and down, specifically on how to efficiently coordinate RTI and honor Ts time. The positive feedback feels good and encourages me to keep improving! #waledchat
A1 Just this wk I'm working on improving my procedures. I've observed other Ts and am implementing their tricks. I like to keep things light in my class, so I'm working very hard to enforce those procedures but it's making my classes easier to work w/ #waledchat
A1: My freshman year in college, I was in the last registration group. All French classes were filled, so I decided to take Spanish w/o ever having spoken a word of it. It was a challenge, but I was successful and even had enough credits to minor in it. #waledchat
A1 part of a growth mindset is taking a leap when you might not be totally comfortable- giving yourself permission to take purposeful risk @MrPStrunk#waledchat
A1 part of a growth mindset is taking a leap when you might not be totally comfortable- giving yourself permission to take purposeful risk @MrPStrunk#waledchat
(I feel like I'm a broken record--been talking about working on procedures for weeks, but I truly feel that is where I am weakest in in my teaching) #waledchat
A1~ struggled recently w/a grad class project ~ kept at it, submitted it multiple times for edits & felt so proud of my ability to stick w/ it despite family life pulling me in 200 diff directions & classroom responsibilities as well 😊#WaledChat
A1 I am learning to knit as a way to relax. I am horrible, but I keep practicing and the women in my knitting group are very patient with me. I am almost done with my first blanket and even though there are a ton of mistakes, I can see where I started to improve #waledchat
A1. When it comes to teaching, I'm always looking to learn new, best-practices, especially in regard to tech integration. Always learning and improving my practices. Excited to continue the learning journey as I move to 5th. Learning never ends! #Waledchat
A1: transitioning from classroom T to reading specialist & then responsible for training Ts & speaking in front of large groups. I was shy, timid, & hesitant. The more I did it, the more comfortable I felt. Now, I feel like I’m right at home #WaledChat#LoveLiteracyLearning
A1: So, I’ve always been involved in the arts—singing, acting, even playing sac and drums. When I was in HS I decided I wanted to play handbellsat church. The HARDEST thing I’ve ever learned. 30 years later, and I play simple solos. I feel accomplished. #waledchat
A2: I used to play a ton of sports, but looking back, I realized I never wanted to put in the work to master the sport. Great success means great focus and hard work and a great amount of time. There are no shortcuts...#waledchat
A2: currently going through it now. My low level Ss have struggled on tests even though they know the content. Preparing for SOLs next week, it is frustrating knowing that their success probably won’t be apparent through the test they are “judged” by. #waledchat
Speaking of growth mindset, I was interviewed by a member of @joboaler team last semester. It was an amazing opportunity especially as a pre-service teacher. #waledchat
A1 there is a lot of satisfaction but the best part is when people jump on board and benefit from your ideas or better yet when people see value collaborate and make things better #waledchat
A2: I love music. I am very jealous of our kids who are very musical, but I cannot keep a beat. I tried for years to play and sing, but it just never worked out. It's distressing to love something but not get to share in the joy of creating. #waledchat
A1 This year I have improved in being able to analyze and utilize data to drive instruction. I now use attendance, behavior, and nutritional data to make decisions to improve student learning! #waledchat
A2: I tried to incorporate gamification in my class this year, but didn't learn enough ahead of time or prepare well enough. I was disappointed in myself but know that I can do more next year to make this successful. #waledchat
A2 I failed my driver's test the first time because I messed up parallel parking. I practiced over and over again with cones on my street and did pass on the second try. All these years later I still don't know how to do it the "right" way and it bums me out.
#waledchat
A2: This past fall, I took a grad course in Historiography. No matter how much I applied feedback I still kept getting the same grade. It crushed me, I felt like no matter how much I tried to improve it was worthless. Hm, I wonder if our student ever feel the same... #waledchat
I know! I don't actually have time. It's an illusion hiding the mountain of work I have to do over the weekend... lol. In the meantime, getting pumped for 7th grade field trip tomorrow to Philly! #Waledchat
I learned to play guitar many moons ago. I set out to teach myself (during the days before YouTube) and I struggled for a long time. My friend decided to learn at the same time and we have since played weddings. #waledchat
A1 I am constantly trying to grow at the tech game but it can be hard to step out of the comfort zone. My Ss reaction to trying and learning new things is my motivation and a great feeling when I can get a LOVE on a lesson from them. #WaledChat
A1: Non school related learning how to quilt and tying in the work I was already doing with makig polar fleece blankets. I was pretty proud of myself with that. #waledchat
A2: In middle school, I put a lot of effort into my writing, but I never reached a point of feeling successful. That has stuck with me to this day…and I learned how valuable it was to support students in feeling successful with their writing. #waledchat
A1: I feel like I made huge strides since joining Twitter and chatting in using tech appropriately, allowing ss to use voice, promoting innovation, and self-reflect. It can be a lonely place to be though when some around you are not seeing things the way you see them. #waledchat
A2: I still struggle with numerous advanced uses and formulas/coding in #GoogleSheets. Though hard to not realize the goals, the struggle is fun and rewarding as I reach small milestones!
#waledchat
A2. Leaving work at work and disconnecting while at home is something I have always tried to become better and often struggle with. Doesn’t make me feel great when I don’t achieve it. #waledchat
A2: I remember struggling in a geometry class in college. I remember being upset and thinking that I would switch my content area, but after reflecting, I knew that I wanted to help struggling Ss. I worked hard, but I did not feel like I grew. #waledchat
A1 5 yrs ago I was the bitter educator. It took time, work, and practice to say... no matter how I FEEL I’m going to love my Ss & coworkers. Overtime my feelings followed my actions. Today I care about the people see everyday more than I could ever imagine. It’s real! #waledchat
A2- My organization continues to be a struggle and always will be. I try, put different procedures in place and cannot turn them into habits . . . YET. #waledchat
A1: I worked hard to improve to improve a more professional writing style in college. My roommate and I always edited each others' papers which benefited us both to become better writer! #waledchat
A2 It has happened even recently. I have worked and tried for certain job opportunities that did not work out. It is always a crushing experience, but I have to believe that there is a reason, that there is a greater purpose. Always look forward, always share hope. #waledchat
A2 I feel I am failing at the act of balancing and organizing. It's a horrible feeling because I find myself completing work at home, rushing to get things in on time, etc. #WaledChat
I agree. I feel this a lot especially as a soon to be 1st year teacher. Sometimes, I feel like my peers think I am a little crazy, but I am passionate about Twitter due to seeing the benefit it can have. #waledchat
A1: I feel like I made huge strides since joining Twitter and chatting in using tech appropriately, allowing ss to use voice, promoting innovation, and self-reflect. It can be a lonely place to be though when some around you are not seeing things the way you see them. #waledchat
A2: Trying to learn the Russian language. I had mastered Spanish and French, so I attempted Russian. Hardest semester class I ever took. What did I do next? Tried German. Second hardest skill I attempted. I do love how they sound when others speak them! #waledchat
A2: A long time ago I tried to teach myself how to play an acoustic guitar. It wasn't happening - using both hands simultaneously was a disaster. #waledchat
A1 My Growth Mindset was learning how to use many apps on the iPad. I set a goal of learning to use different features everyday and succeeded #waledchat
A2 in situations like that I don’t see endings I see opportunity for continued improvement that is the type of situation that makes things truly rewarded because that is when real learning and growth happens #waledchat
@MrsAsztalos is bringing some great areas for reflection tonight! AND moderating like a pro! Give her a hand or a DM later if you have the chance! #waledchat
A2: Public speaking! How does one effectively lead PD when flush in the cheeks and dizzy?? Ts talk over me or I forget what I need to say #fail#waledchat
A2: Music and Drawing skills are lacking for sure. Never made it farther than the recorder and tracing paper! But never stops me from grabbing those coloring books and dialing up the stereo for a moment of mindfulness. #waledchat
A2~ continuously trying to be a better cook for our family meals-not very successful! I stink at it~ feels kind of funny at times because I was raised by a fab mom who had chef as middle name & other times I feel defeated #waledchat
A2: I'm terrible at Escape Rooms and BreakoutEDU....Like building them & encouraging others....But if you get me on your escape team, I apologize in advance. lol #waledchat
A2: In MS, I “played” the flute, my parents even bought me one & I just couldn’t seem to make it feel natural. I practiced & still didn’t seem to get any better. We were tested for first chair privileges & I never earned that, I felt defeated. #waledchat#LoveLiteracyLearning
I feel the same way especially due to currently looking for a teaching position. I am praying and know that what I am called to do will appear clearly. Doors have closed, but I know windows are opening as well. #waledchat
A2 It has happened even recently. I have worked and tried for certain job opportunities that did not work out. It is always a crushing experience, but I have to believe that there is a reason, that there is a greater purpose. Always look forward, always share hope. #waledchat
A2 I am trying so hard to grade things faster & w/ meaningful feedback. When I feel like I'm failing on the meaningful part I just set it aside and then I end up passing back papers 2 mos later (if I'm lucky) :( #waledchat
A3: When I see a kid with a fixed mindset, I try to point out a concrete success (you built this thing today) and a concrete action (stay attentive during this time and ask great questions) so they can see their gains and have a learning plan #waledchat#GrowthMindset#peptalk
Hey when you figure out how to do that can you let me know? I am constantly checking email at home in case a parent or student has a question. #waledchat
A3: when Ss have the perception that they are bad at math, I work more closely with them and often create opportunities to set them up for success #waledchat
A1: Recently my growth mindset has been about myself. Finding ways to help my mind relax and be more aware of emotions. I definitely have seen a change in my personal life and in my classroom with students. #WaledChat
A3: When students are upset about grades or how they did, I say "If you are currently frustrated with where you are there are always opportunities to go and try again." I keep a very fluid gradebook. Students to need to see that you can still learn and persevere! #waledchat
A3: With an inquiry-based classroom, it's important for students to really feel like failure is simply a stepping stone. Learning is circular, not linear, and I try to preach that every day. #waledchat
Q3 In my classroom I start the year talking about strengths we have, and that we don't all learn at the same pace. I don't grade practice, and I give Ss a chance to do retakes. Like my driver's test, sometimes we need a second try. #waledchat
A3: Constantly encourage! We need to "see" for them and serve as their mirror. Many of our kids feel like failures, but we need to break this mindset by highlighting the wins that we observe and connecting them to that. #waledchat
A2: My answer today is graphing worm distance and time. But my real answer is that I want to be a gardener. It’s frustrating when every year I research, plant seeds, and nothing grows except for thistles, strawberries, asparagrus, rasberries and other weed-like plants. #waledchat
A1 I have worked really hard at being less serious. Stepping outside my comfort zone has been really rewarding. I am having more and more fun each year with my students. This has created connections and feels pretty darn good. #waledchat
A2 At first learning Wordpress for my blog was overwhelming but .. application of growth mindset told me to keep trying and in time I could do it...ultimately learning what I thought I could not learn was empowering @MrPStrunk#waledchat
A1 I’m trying to think of one I can’t. I am going through one right now. I have participated not 2 tough mudder and I am seeing so many weakness. I have been working hard and used my experience to show my students even I fail and struggle but I have to push through #waledchat
A3 I always push them to believe in themselves and to keep dreaming. When I see that they feel defeated, not only to I lift them up, I show them that I can do anything and put myself out there, learning crazy things. If this old guy can do it...so can you! #waledchat
A3: It’s all about having a consistent message. The mantra I would always repeat to my students was “you can always control how hard you work.” #waledchat
A3: I work to empower and equip, to encourage and uplift while they try to skills and practice what we're learning. Lots of role play with permission to laugh at ourselves and be okay with the productive struggle. And don't do it for them! #waledchat
A3: The biggest thing I do within classes or lessons is model the mindset I employ. I was not an instant success at anything technology; failure was part of each growth step and made the mastery that much sweeter!
#waledchat
A1:My 5’3”self managed to get up to 160lbs. at one point in my life, so I decided to sign up for a race to lose the weight. I lost 50lbs and have been running ever since. I have ran a number of races, placed 1st at one & even ran a marathon. I felt victorious! #waledchat#RunLAP
A2: CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT. I am constantly working on my classroom management, finding ways to improve & keep positivity. But I am also always feeling like I'm not quite there or haven't tried hard enough. I won't give up, but classroom management has me in a struggle. #waledchat
A3 I try to give time to self-reflect, use the opportunity to help them see the room for growth, and I also discuss my own need to change my mindset in certain situations. #WaledChat
A3: I have students grade their own projects and create reflections. I always allow Ss to redo quizzes or assignments until they feel it is their best. #waledchat
A3 with our teachers we talk about risk and not having fear of talking the leap into the unknown. It must be modeled from start to finish especially the reflection piece #waledchat
A3: I am honest about my mistakes and model a positive attitude about correcting them. I encourage them to move past their mistake and correct it to move on. I show them that I believe that they can learn past it. #waledchat
A3~ we celebrate mistakes with loud cheers, we engage in activities that involve strengths&struggles, and positive language is ever present for encouragement& support #waledchat
A3: We have an entire bulletin board full of statements to show a "growth" vs "fixed" mindset with a brain in the middle. I surround the brain and statements with student work and highlight the process to took to reach the end result. #waledchat
A3: Not in classroom now, but I'd hold off on grades, until SS engaged with feedback loop...Create mastery assignments....Preach the power of yet! #waledchat
A3: I had a few students write that they do not understand a concept. I made sure to go back in and write "...yet". I truly believe in the power of yet and recently read "The Growth Mindset Coach" and "Mathematical Mindsets". #waledchat
A3: I provide feedback to students instead of grades and have them correct and redo assignments. We discuss in small group or conference to discuss what needs to be changed and where misconceptions may be. No grades until reporting time. #waledchat
A3 I believe that a Growth Mindset has a little sister named Motivated Mindset. We reflect on our growth over periods of time and celebrate! #waledchat
A3 We have created a school culture that allows for Ss to take a risk. We will FAIL before we PREVAIL! We will only improve when we make mistakes and use them as opportunities to learn! #waledchat
A3: The power of YET is an easy one. Anytime they are giving up I add YET to their sentences. I also model a growth mindset. When I make a mistake they know and they see me try again and again. #Waledchat
A3. We talk alot about persistence in my school. For our students, giving up is much easier than looking stupid. I have this massive talk about bravery and persistence every year. #waledchat
A2 I have struggled medically this year. Even though I am working hard in PT, I am not where I want to be. I sometimes feel trapped and useless. I have to relearn how to lift and bend properly and it is very sobering. #waledchat
A4: personally, I tell myself that it is not good enough to settle for failure. Ss deserve better. For my Ss, I provide them with the support they need to be successful. I like to see them struggle, but will not allow them to fail #waledchat
That had been really hard for me until this year. This is my 24th year and I can finally leave things at school 95% of the time and not feel quilty about it. However, the quilt might be getting the better of me right now, I am dealing with some insomnia. #waledchat
A3: I allow ss to redo any assignment they want as many times as they want. I also relate concepts to each other so they know we are never done talking about them. Today we talked about worms and friction! And we incorporated spreadsheets and math equations. #waledchat
A4: For myself? I go to @ToddRisser or @ERobbPrincipal for some advice. For my students? I tell them that this is a safe space to take risks and try. If we do not succeed, then we can go back and try again. #waledchat
A4: Take a break. Nothing is better in those moments than stepping away and coming back with fresh eyes and a clear head. It's important to recognize when our students need that - and when we need it ourselves. #waledchat
A3: very best way I have found, in add'n to the research we do on GM, is pullups. Pullups are hard for just about everyone, take months of working every day, but when my Ss get their first pullup, they know unequivocally that their hard work got them there, not talent. #waledchat
A3 Some of my ELs don't believe that their oral English is good enough. I have them record videos throughout the year and have them watch them to see the growth. #waledchat
A4 I have to say, I believe that fixed mindset has a little sister named unmotivated mindset. It is my role to build value in what we do through authentic engagement!!! #waledchat
A4: In those moments, it is important to practice mindfulness and recognize the fixed mindset in order to change it. Can’t fix it if we don’t recognize it. #waledchat
A2: I failed my first ESL test. It was gut wrenching & eye opening. I realized I don’t know everything & I have room to grow. The experience is now a great opportunity to share with my Ss. They need to know it’s ok to fail as long as you keep trying & do your best. #waledchat
A4: Call in backup. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes is all it takes to break you out of the rut. I love having others look at a situation from a different angle to see how we can move beyond the obstacles. #waledchat
A4: To borrow advice from @vanillaice
Stop, Collaborate, and Listen.
Stop and think about the words and expressions happening. Collaborate on an innovative solution to approaching the task. Listen to the new interactions and repeat steps 1 & 2 if needed.
#waledchat
A3 I don’t currently have my own classroom but I do a series of mini lessons in classrooms throughout the building I have a different set of activities and teachers build off of them as the year goes on #waledchat
A4: We have a drop everything and talk moment. We talk about why the student is feeling that way, and how negative self talk gets in the way. We discuss about learning at our own pace and being okay with that. #waledchat
A3 I let them know it is ok to make mistakes. It is how we learn. I admit to my own mistakes and struggles. They need a safe space, so community is huge. #waledchat
A4: For Ss I try to reinforce the fact that learning is a process and one that includes different levels of struggle and risk. If all was "easy", what is the point in goals? The word YET has made a big difference. #waledchat
A4 I have to rely on my work wife when I'm being bleak. Usually its in the form of a strong NO on something I'm pursuing. She calms me, hypes me a little, feeds my ego, and fixes my resolve. #waledchat
A4: When a fixed mindset happens - stop, drop, and RESET. It happens to the best of us. It's how we choose to respond that is key. We have to practice having a growth mindset, just like with everything else! #waledchat
A4 Start by allowing students to design and create tasks. If tasks seem too closed-minded...ask them to suggest ways of transforming them. Avoid saying no and allow for yes and millions of possibilities. Allow for magic to happen. Approach as an adventure. #waledchat
A4: This semester, I had a fourth-grade boy refer to his fixed mindsets as a traffic jam in his brain, so we talked about what that locked thought might be trying to protect him from. It's all about talking it through. #waledchat
A4 When I find myself becoming fixed I stop and talk about with my Ss. If I notice them that way, we stop, regroup, and talk about how to change that mindset. Our counselor does a lesson on it, so they have that to rely on and are able to hold a good conversation w/ me #WaledChat
A3: When students are upset about a bad grade or failing a test—I turn it around and show them what they got right—not what they got wrong. Even if they went from a 20 to a 50, that’s improvement. #waledchat
A4 I give plenty of second chances. Even in discipline. If they make a mistake in school it should be ok. We are trying to get them to learn. We need to be the place that they can make a mistake. I like to tell my challenges if you lose your chi, take a knee #waledchat
A3 When Growth Mindset and motivation falter I like to show them their writing or math from the fall so they can see how much Growth they've had up until now. Seeing their growth is great inspiration #waledchat
A5: I have never had the motivation or time to master #CADDesign. I'm a really good generalist and I have a solid working skills in a few programs, but would like more exposure. This month/summer will be a foray into new material #makered#Makerspace#waledchat
A5: I have always wanted to improve my golf game but never had the time or money to devote to it. Hoping to have some opportunities to get out and play some golf this summer #waledchat
A4~ call it what it is w/❤️ & understanding, modeling perseverance, provide ample continuous opportunities in areas of S interest that develop/foster their strengths and support skills that need more time for dev #waledchat
A5: Blogging! I have been working on developing a blog, and I’m almost ready to launch. I know it won’t be great at first, but I’m going to work at it. #waledchat
A5 I have always wanted to try yoga, but am afraid too because I am not flexible or coordinated AT ALL!!! I think this might be the year I give it a try!

A5: I've always wanted to improve my writing ability. The only way to do that is to practice, reflect on what I've written, and share it with others who can provide constructive feedback. #waledchat
A4: This one is hard because I'm stubborn! Finding someone who can shake me up - say hard words for me to hear - helps!. I also find that incubating whatever is going on and turning it over and over will kick that fixed stuff outta the way! #waledchat
A5 Finding time to read and write is something I wanted to improve on. Working on my 5th novel in a week...it takes effort and time, but if I want my students to dream the impossible and keep believing in themselves, I will want to model is as well. #waledchat
A4: I write my reflections out and try to develop a plan for not accepting the failed outcome I’ve achieved. It’s easier to solve what I can see vs. keeping it internalized. #waledchat
A5: I have always wanted to learn coding with respect to websites. Though it may not be this month, as tennis ends, I plan to start looking into small classes and things I can take to start the learning process.

A5: I’m in an elementary position this year, and it’s ALL been an exercise in growth mindset. Next week I take my class on an out-of-state trip. I’m intimidated and stressed, but it’s definitely a chance to learn to do something I haven’t done before. #waledchat
If you want to be inspired to be a Growth Mindset Champion for Kids, watch the TED Talk by Rita Pierson. It will remind you of why you became a teacher. #waledchat
Fantastic job by @MrsAsztalos tonight! Thanks for running the show tonight! :) Great questions and great convo by all! Hope to see you all next week! #waledchat
New school = new curriculum. I need to get better at providing Ss the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in engaging ways ALL YEAR. Started strong, but I feel I’m lagging as the year winds down. #waledchat
A4: We have this giant brain that we mind map across all the windows of our classroom connecting all the things we’ve learned this year. It gives me a constant reminder of GM and to keep modeling it as best I can. #waledchat
A5: I have always wanted to increase my knowledge on how to build more work-based learning and community partnerships for my Ss. So I took the step and decided to enroll in some more graduate classes and aim for an extension of my teaching certification. #waledchat
A4: Student side, I think it's important to help them see multiple paths to where they want to go. Giving them vocabulary to articulate where they are is huge. Think about how to think! #waledchat
A4 I'm finding lots of Ts and Ps are in a fixed mindset with grades. Need to find a way to bridge the gap and help everyone grow with growth. #waledchat
A4:
I’m with @MrPStrunk; I’ve always wanted to write. Maybe I’ll finally take the “under construction@ message of my website and start a blog. #waledchat
Our district isn’t paying for anything like this any more. :( I’m having to pay for Picademy travel out of pocket. Maybe if it comes closer! #waledchat
A5: I make it a priority to be positive for others and provide encouragement, motivation and inspiration. I need to do better at doing that for myself, I am often too hard on myself, harder than anybody else could ever be on me. #waledchat#LoveLiteracyLearning
