I am a big believer that challenging students cause issues due to boredom. You need to find what excites them and engage!

Managing "challenging" students...we should work to define...but listen to them, respond according to needs.
I think it's also important to realize you don't have a behavior issue, you have a relationship issue.
Managing challenging Ss first starts with Maslow. Relationships are first priority.
Classroom management becomes a breeze if you take the time to discover your students as mini people and build relationships.

However give me a class with lots of challenging Ss and I struggle - first to admit that
