Admin support changes the trajectory — a well-supported idea is more likely to move past the "trend stage" and become substantive.

Lots of folks jump on the bandwagons of edu fads/trends without clue how it helps kids. Focus needs to remain on students.
I think it really depends on what it is and who you are.
I think that it is better to follow your heart, but if they are connected in some way, it should be done.

Some take the current buzz words and twist the new concept to fit what they are already doing, thus muddying the water for all.
Bandwagons are fun to jump on ... they make some cool noise ... not necessarily wrong unless they take you back to where you started

New ideas often aren't given time to fully develop. Teachers try new things without the latitude to fail and make it better.

Teachers need to be educated on current educational trends and understand what would work best in their specific classroom.

This is so true! If it isn't engaging they really aren't learning.
A3: increase engagement through student-driven self-assessment, reflection and goal-setting. Make it personal!
A4: We have shared with parents that math is more than procedures & formulas; it's a language & way of thinking
Teachers with many Fs at the end of a term will be the first to tell you that the grade doesn't reflect student ability.
