    #MEMSPAchat A1: That is a great question. 1:1 for computers, classrooms that a big with no desk in rows, flexible comfortable home like seats. Learning that is interactive and collaborative with others outside the classroom.

    A2 Small group guided reading instruction in middle school and high school. Tradition and curriculum planning dictate that secondary students all read the same text at the same time...but this is definitely not best practice. #memspachat

    A3 Our district has teachers who double as Technology Instructional Leaders (TILs) They introduce ideas and innovative ways to do traditional things. The sharing is non-judgmental and low pressure. Ts love learning from peers #MEMSPAchat

    A3 Model awesome ways that learning can come to life. I just bought Kim Thomas Mathivate book and it's soooo cool! Until we see those strategies, we often have no idea of the possibilities. Encourage interest-driven PD for staff. #memspachat

    A3: Ss engagement is huge! Are ss productive and engaged with paper/pencil? What does it really tell you about their learning? I started with basic questions like this and transformation was amazing. Powerful learning can’t be captured on paper!#MEMSPAchat

    I want my teachers to feel comfortable taking (calculated) risks as well. If it doesn't work, we can make an adjustment and try again... #MEMSPAchat

    A4: When you know your "why"! For us, it was when we realized that we needed to personalize lessons for students who may need extra help with content. Therefore, it was important for us to show Ts how to make flipped lessons! #MEMSPAchat

    Yes! We have teacher lead PD- which allows teachers to create their PD choices and lead up to 12 hours of their PD to be self selected #MEMSPAchat

    Hold a faculty meeting with a sign that says "Critique-Free Zone" and have teachers generate lots of ideas with the norm that all ideas count and none are shot down. Build a culture of creativity. #MEMSPAchat It begins with the SuperSkills of Leadership!

    A4: Provide the PD needed for growth as a staff. Deliver it in a collaborative way and high leverage techniques as they process the learning - like sketch notes, or inside outside circles etc. #memspachat

    Q4: When I can see my staff need a change, I make up crazy fun scavenger hunt PD that takes them around our outside of the building. Twice they ended in a restaurant and we ate at the end. It rejuvenates us all. #MEMSPAchat

    Are you near a University? I have a client who has a cadre of MAT students who intern with them. They have substitute approval and they are in the classrooms all the time as interns. When the principals need, they can pull Ts for part of the day for PD and PLCs. #MEMSPAchat
