Hopping in a little late... A1: I would love to have more cafe tables and stools. Kids love the tall desks we have. Also, a place for outdoor learning. We have a huge empty green space. I would love picnic tables or lawn furniture for kids to utilize on good days. #cfisdchat
A1 B: also I want a puppy room! A room full of puppies that teachers and/or students could go visit. You can’t be in a bad mood with puppies! #cfisdchat
A1: Oh. I ♥️this question! So many ideas — I want the kids to have a say in the design of ANY area or items that are added! When I started my BL journey, I didn’t change anything until they voted. Maybe some more outdoor learning or a retractable roof (@O_L_Mayers 😜). #CFISDchat

#cfisdchat@kahla my name is Sara Lisanti and one day I hope to finish my dissertation and start a non-profit to help families with autistic children who cannot afford ABA therapies get therapy
Q1: a small sofa! I have used flexible seating for the past 2 years and LOVE it. I only have 2 “regular” chairs left in my room. All I need is a comfy sofa! #CFISDchat
A2 I would love a technology coach! *cough cough* But for real, that would be an amazing addition to our Wells vision. Also, I would love to be able to download all the apps and buy all the websites I find at conferences to try them out! #CFISDchat
A2: Additional chromebooks & tables instead of all desks. I would remove teacher desks to make a workspace designed by Ss. I would add an instructional coach that is about differentiation/blended learning not content specific. Maybe 2 if $$$ allowed. #WeAreSalyards#CFISDChat
A2: just more staff so teachers have an extra off period. That extra time can be spent on professional growth and development as well as improving lessons for increased student experience and achievement. Giving every teacher an extra hour each day: amazing! #cfisdchat
I would love to have a badge scanner for the students to use when they are entering the classroom or leaving to go use the restroom. #CFISDchat#WeAreSalyards
@CFISDchat starting late but I’m here! My name is Katie Ayers and I’m a 2nd grade math and science teacher at @HooverCFISD ! One crazy dream I have is to go cage diving with great white sharks! 🦈 #CFISDchat
A2: If I had all the money in the world, I would add more teachers and reduce class sizes. I would add a reading and math interventionist, a technology coach, and a behavior interventionist too! #cfisdchat
A2 - technology for every student and additional SPED teachers! We have an incredible SPED team who needs additional staff. I'd also love all tables instead of indv desks. Cannot stand indv desks! I like my groups but would be better at tables. #wearesalyards#cfisdchat
A2: I would add an instructional technology coach in a heartbeat 💗!!! Would LOVE to have a digital learning coach at planning to offer ideas, model lessons, and problem solve tech on the fly #CFISDchat
#CFISDchat Araceli Salinas, 4th grade reading intervention @KirkElementary ...my dream is to write a book on working with our most challenging students.
A2: #CFISDChat The ELAR side of me says more books! You can never have enough books!! 📚
And also resources for sending teachers to amazing PD’s & learning conferences.
Q1- We are so fortunate at Wells with our unique campus. Flex spaces, outdoor learning spaces, extra classrooms, etc. A greenhouse would be pretty cool! #CFISDchat
A2 I would love time to work with other teams and help coach them with blended learning and using tech. I don’t want to leave the classroom but being able to teach a couple periods and then work with teachers!! #cfisdchat
A2: I would love to have a coding master to teach the kiddos how to code! It could be done in rotations throughout the day... as long as they learn at an early age!! #cfisdchat
A2- I would love a primary science position! Being able to instill that sense of wonder and exploration for science (STEAM, really) in our littles is my ultimate goal and dream 😍 #cfisdchat
A2: It is not technically a "teaching" pos., but I want at least one counselor in every school that does nothing but Mental Health counseling, no IEP's, 4yr plans, college apps, scheduling, or testing, all they are there for is to serve Ss and their families MH needs #cfisdchat
A2: more one on one opportunities for teachers with students, especially with at-risk students. Let teachers/school staff desire their school. Technology available for all students to check out if needed. #somanythoughts#CFISDChat#WeAreSalyards#SwashBengal
I would add updated technology for the Ts and devices for the Ss that actually work. Would be really neat to have small group tables and seating for Ss to be able to work at. Lastly be neat to have an interactive tech whiteboard as large as the ones we have. #CFISDchat
#cfisdchat@kahlams A2: if I’m going to dream, I’m going to dream big! It would be incredible if all classes, K, L, etc., could always be between 16-20 students.
A2: More small group reading support. I would LOVE to work with every kid every day. But since I can’t, it would be lovely to have an extra person available to work with kids while I work with a group. #CFISDchat
A2: @KirkElementary we are very fortunate to have a plethora of tools and resources teachers and students can use as well as a tech wizard, @doriedance. I think an ELL specialist would be advantageous to have in campus. #cfisdchat
Q2 I wish each campus could have a digital learning instructional coach. Someone housed on campus to support teachers with infusing technology in meaningful ways. #cfisdchat
A2 I've always thought a Technology IS at each school would be super helpful! That's a dream of mine too 😍 I'd love to help teachers plan and create technology resources to use in their classroom! #CFISDchat
A1: I would love to have a giant hundreds chart on the floor of my classroom that students can jump on to practice skip counting! Now to only find the the floor space 🤔 #CFISDchat
Q2 I wish each campus could have a digital learning instructional coach. Someone housed on campus to support teachers with infusing technology in meaningful ways. #cfisdchat
A3 I just want my 8th graders to have recess and the ability to eat outside everyday. I had this when I was in SBISD and it was awesome! #wearesalyards#cfisdchat
Interesting! We want to have it as an incentive for kids to earn- Legos with the AP! We have one in the library and kids are super excited about it! #cfisdchat
A3 I just want my 8th graders to have recess and the ability to eat outside everyday. I had this when I was in SBISD and it was awesome! #wearesalyards#cfisdchat
A3: Outdoor work space to capitalize on the learning environment. Gazebo areas, porches with picnic tables, designs on sidewalks to make all spaces designed for learning & comfort. Outdoor garden for Ss to grow flowers/veggies/etc. #WeAreSalyards#cfisdchat
A3 I would love to have a green area, fenced in, for the kids so we can go outside more and not have to worry about 290 distractions. Even the older kids love playgrounds, but more like a park with trails and areas to sit. #CFISDchat
A3- I love @MrsHoodTeaches' idea of a greenhouse! We also have an amazing garden coming soon which I'm so excited about! I would also love to see hopscotch squares or a four-square court. I love how positive others are to each other during those games! #cfisdchat
A3: I would LOVE one of those circular swings that you see at carnivals or theme parks.. obviously it wouldn't go as high off the ground.. but think of how much the kids would love that! Also I want a "friend bench" where they can sit and make friends! #cfisdchat
#CFISDchat@kahlams A2: I would also want the kids in secondary schools, particularly middle school, to have more opportunities to go outside, run, and burn off energy!
A3: I think I got to dreaming a little early. I would love lawn furniture and picnic tables in our green spaces. A place for students to learn outside on nice days. Throw a playground out there too! Teenagers need the physical activity. And who doesn’t love to swing?! #cfisdchat
A2: If I could totally revamp: An entire class on self-care, normalizing mental health needs, managing stress, etc. Required for every student, every semester of HS. Enough teachers so that class sizes are 8 or fewer kiddos. #cfisdchat
A3: #CFISDchat For the 5 days of the year where the weather is cool, I would love a covered outdoor seating area for reading. Benches & picnic tables would be great.
Q3 I would love lounging areas outside and maybe a pond. I think it could be used for great learning opportunities. I've also seem outdoor gym playground equipment-great for brain breaks! #cfisdchat
A3: More opportunity for students to build and create outdoors, more gardens that kids can tend during recess, more options for outdoor creativity, a paver lab, that is changed constantly, not sure what else is possible, but I want to see kids creating outdoors #cfisdchat
A3: I taught high school, so I was always very fond of the schools that had courtyard areas for the student to get fresh air. I think in a ideal situation the campus would look like the Google or Apple headquarters and people would be chilling outside while learning. #cfisdchat
A3: due to scheduling conflicts, our 2nd graders don’t have access to the main playground equipment (slides, climbing structures, etc). Our students are GREAT at using their imagination to play in the field & hardtop. So I’d simply like more jungle-gym type structures. #CFISDchat
A2: I feel so lucky to have an amazing support staff come in and be in class support for thirty minutes every day, I would love to multiply her and her time in my classroom! The students totally benefit from more time with an adult! #CFISDchat
A3: would be like Central Park with plenty of trees, some rolling hills, water, and lush grass for Ss and Ts to go out and hold class. Also would be neat to have portable speakers to take out with us so we don’t have to yell and Ss can hear. #CFISDChat
A2: if money wasn’t even a thought I would definitely add more teachers, a technology coach, reading, LA, math specialists, behavior specialist , and did I mention more teachers?? #cfisdchat
A3- I think a big greenhouse with enough space for a class to enjoy it together would be so cool! More trees, maybe more of a park-like setting? Add some big outdoor games like Jenga, chess, etc? Maybe a huge grid painted on the hard top!#CFISDChat
A3: Picnic areas or relaxing seating. More gardening areas available for multiple grade levels to use and learn from. More choice of play equipment too #cfisdchat
Q4: Last question! What important skills, attitudes and beliefs would you love to see everyday from yourself, your colleagues and your students? #CFISDChat
A3: I think students would love to have outdoor spaces that feel like a college campus: trees to hammock in while studying, a grassy mall to lay on and discuss literature, courtyards, patios, rooftop gardens #cfisdchat
A4 Going with the theme here but: DREAM BIG! I firmly believe if you put it out there into the universe it can happen! We can create this environment for our students with our without our wishlists. It's all about perspective! #cfisdchat
A3: At Hoover we are still growing our playground, we have already added so many parts since last year at this time! Something climbing would be awesome though! I think the kids would really enjoy that #CFISDchat
A4: Positivity & Problem Solving! Each day brings new challenges & I want us all to approach them with an open mind & love of learning. All having FUN learning! Also Empathy & Collaboration! Working together we are UNLIMITED! #wearesalyards#cfisdchat

Q4: Last question! What important skills, attitudes and beliefs would you love to see everyday from yourself, your colleagues and your students? #CFISDChat
A4: from my students: positivity, effort, kindness, and grit, from my coworkers: hope, service, passion, and selflessness. I wish that every teacher knew and understood the WHY and put energy into the HOW. #cfisdchat
A4: #CFISDChat I want everyone to start the day fresh. It doesn’t matter that a student or colleague made you upset the day before. Start everyday with a fresh start & focus on the things that are in your power to change. I want more positivity on campuses. 🤗
A3: a bubble bounce house. This would be fore students and teachers! When you do well, you@get to go in the bubble bounce house. Also, a fun obstacle course. Gardens for the school to grow its own food @readygrowgarden can you take care of that part for us @WarnerCFISD#cfisdchat
A4 Growth mindset all around. I wish my Ss would focus on the process. I am trying to work on that now with them. Empathy, collaboration, compassion and passion #CFISDchat
A4: I would like all adults (parents, teachers, admin, et. al) to remember that PK-12 we are talking about children, even if they look like adults they are kids and they are going to mess up it is not the end of the world when they do! #cfisdchat
A4 ZERO negativity, BELIEF in every student, MORE praise for what you're good at instead of evaluations of where they're deficient, recognizing & applauding differences, more connections between all teachers/students - relationship driven teaching. #wearesalyards#cfisdchat
A4: I would love for students to believe that they can make a difference in the world- big or small. That their presence has a purpose and that just because they fail at one thing does not make them a failure in life. Life is a gift- embrace it!!! #CFISDchat#WeAreSalyards
A4: I love Rita Pierson’s @TED_ED talk about every child deserves a champion. I truly believe that as teacher it is our duty to be in our students court and be guiding them and cheering them to success. I’m so glad that @HooverCFISD and @CyFairISD are rooted in that! #CFISDchat

@CFISDchat, @TED_ED, @HooverCFISD, @CyFairISD
A1: I'd love to see a sensory room equipped with a swing or trampoline, lighting, tactile materials, music, etc. for students to integrate various forms of sensory input. It could also be used as a space for calming/focusing. #CFISDchat
A2: I would love to see an action based learning lab integrated into our campus culture. The research of the brain in motion is fascinating and I could see the benefit of getting kids moving while they are learning. #cfisdchat
A4: surround yourself with positive coworkers that are willing to go above and beyond for each other as well as the Ss. It starts with each and everyone of us and we need to remember why we are there. Be a shinning light and spread His love!!! #CFISDChat
A2: When I taught in @AustinISD, we had a campus Parent Support Specialist. She served as a liaison between the school and parents. She offered classes, organized the volunteers, and assisted parents as needed to best support the home-school partnership. #CFISDchat
A3: I love our play space currently. The only thing I could think of is a smaller hardtop area for the littles with hopscotch, four square, and shorter basketball goals. #cfisdchat
