A2: An amazing visual arts teacher used plastic milk caps to make murals. It was amazing how she facilitated the project encouraging recycling and then inspired students to create! They all loved it! #mdeschat
A3. The best projects combine grade levels standards in multiple content areas with engaging & creative outlets, music, art, dance, multimedia #mdeschat
A3- We just completed a "Growing Up Green" project involving an exploration of animals and habitat, and sewing onto burlap to make a burlap quilt which is draped over a staircase at the school. An awesome collaborative effort across K & a visual arts teacher #mdeschat

#MDESCHAT A4 Because my students have special needs, I feel like I encourage them to use improv play in a sense because we discuss situations where they have to explain their disabilities to others.
A2 We could start by listening more than we talk โ I mean really listening at the core. Kids are always talking whether in words, actions, demeanor writing โ ALWAYS! #G2Great

#MDESCHAT A5 My students use apps on their devices (using ipads w/ Voice Over technology). They create Slide Show Presentations, record & edit music in Garage Band, & use imovie to edit videos. Once they learn how 2 use technology, their minds open up 2 digital careers.
A6: Showcases in schools provide opportunities to showcase student creativity. Invite local artists in to help enhance the experience for all participants. #mdeschat
#MDESCHAT A6 I would honestly like 2 see high school students that want to be entrepreneurs, especially in the art space, given the opportunity 2 take courses that allow them to create their own businesses complete with websites, logo design, business training, etc.
A7- Community partnerships can help grow arts integration programs. Allowing for enhanced Ss AI experiences, and building community relationships. #mdeschat
