Miriam, District IC. The month of November is a great reminder to be grateful for everything in one's life. I'm grateful for health, the love & support of family/friends, and for the rewarding job I have. #admin2b
Hello friends, Susan, instructional coach, Loudoun County VA, hello partner @MiriamCheuk#admin2b Today, I am grateful for my freedom and the men and women in the armed forces who protect it!
A1 grateful to work with a top notch /student centered team. Also that I can advocate for a S. population and help support Ts in their instructional practice. @Boone_County#admin2b
A1: The most gratifying part of my position for me is the fact that I get to build on positive relationships with everyone I encounter. I genuinely enjoy working with people, getting to know them better, and finding new ways to connect on meaningful levels. #admin2b
A1: As a coach, I love collaborating on what’s next rather than what’s wrong, it’s awesome to work along side a teacher and grow together, I learn and grow with teachers daily! ❤️ #admin2b
A1) This year it's seeing all the growth in 8th graders I worked with in 6th grade. AND seeing all our hard work in PBL paying off as we try something new. #admin2b
A2: I’m a sucker for words. My love language (maybe that’s too personal) is words of affirmation so that is what I tend to go to when showing gratitude. It’s amazing to see the notes of affirmation teachers and humans save to pull out on a cloudy day. #admin2b
A2: Being an active listener, giving authentic compliments or specific examples of what I appreciate about them, being there when they need me, being patient, writing thank you notes, random acts of kindness, a pat on the back/being encouraging...#admin2b
A2. I try to send out personal notes to my own team. I like to surprise them once a year with a paid for lunch or dinner as a team. I tweet out and share all the good work I see them doing in their schools. #admin2b
Hello! Freshman English ILT leader and theatre arts director at Ryle HS. Today I am most thankful to be able to raise my two children. They are a light in my life. #admin2b
A2: Live it! Say it! Write it! Send it in a letter, email it, whisper it, shout it out, and repeat! Let others know you see what they are doing, you appreciate it and are indeed grateful! 💕 Thank you! #admin2b
A2: I generally express my gratitude in verbal or written form. Hand-written notes are a favorite, because I think it shows someone that they were important enough to take the time to sit down and write to express my gratitude. #admin2b
A3: Gratitude journal or wall to harness positive thinking, thank you notes,a gratitude jar that students add to and when they need a joyful lift they can read their notes, gratitude paper chain, gratitude art theme, thank you party. #admin2b
A2) I express my gratitude through words of affirmation and humorous gifts. For example, if I see a McDonald’s toy a team member would enjoy, I surprise them with it along with a little note. #admin2b
A3: I think it starts with the the admin. If the admin is always in a hurry and never takes time to show gratitude, people will follow suit. Conversely, if you take the opportunity to thank others every chance you get, then I think you will build a culture of gratitude. #admin2b
A3) Gratitude has to be shown more often than the scheduled "Thank a Principal/Teacher/Support staff" day. I for one need to be more intentional about showing how much I appreciate my team. #admin2b
A4: Most memorable: parents wrote a gratitude letter to my boss with a list of the things they thought I did to make a positive impact in the school community, small tokens of appreciation, thank you notes, verbal acknowledgements, etc. #admin2b
A3: I think I have said this before but model, model and model some more. When leaders are grateful and recognize staff and students it is noticed. We have to be intentional. #admin2b
A4: Often times teachers are given gifts or luncheons, but the most meaningful expression of gratitude someone can show me is verbal or written. #admin2b
A3: Shout out bopards like this one, showing colleagues appreciation for some little as well as big things-no matter the size, gratitude fits into every heart #admin2b
A4) I have a few signs of gratitude that i can hang on my wall or set on a shelf that mean the world to me. Kids and families that I will never forget. #admin2b
A3: Shout out bopards like this one, showing colleagues appreciation for some little as well as big things-no matter the size, gratitude fits into every heart #admin2b
A4 (Continued): This was said to me a few years ago by a student whose home life would make you cringe. I’ll never forget the feeling. It warmed my heart and broke it all at once. “Mr. Byce, I think you’d make a pretty great dad.” #admin2b
