Hey Jaime! Glad to make #ARVRinEdu tonight. I was always a fan of DAQRI Elements 4D and used it for a few years but now that that is retiring, I have to get behind the virtuali-tee from @curiscope as a favorite for science at the moment.
A1 For me, it is really important that students can create with the app in some way. If they can't create, my next most important aspect is that it is highly interactive. #ARVRinEDU
A1: When looking at an #ARVRinEDU app I think itโs important that it creates an immersive experience that makes a content connection for our students. #connectcooltocontent
Yes, our students want to be engaged. We definitely find many #ARVRinEDU resources hitting home with engagement, but so many companies don't know how to connect their content with curriculum. Great points.
You know tonights chat was inspired by one of your teacher requests for molecules. So excited to share this with your teachers in a few weeks :D #ARVRinEDU
Going to download it now and explore. Hope I don't have too much fun and miss the rest of the chat. This has happened a few times in the past! #ARVRinEdu
Q3: The BEST part of this #ARVRinEDU app is much more than just experience, but creation. Students can BUILD molecule models! How does this interaction improve understanding more than outside of #AR & #VR?
A2: Apps like the AR VR Molecules Editor app can support our students learning by allowing them to interact with content in a multi sensory environment. #arvrinedu
No doubt! If we start with the tool, we're missing the mark. We must start with content and find the resources to help support our students understanding. #ARVRinEDU
this will definitely make #organic chemistry easier , we had to learn all those models in undergraduate work, R-S configurations in stereochemistry were tough #ARVRinEDU
A3 By being able to create, Ss can see the building of the structures take place in 3D, as well as manipulate the structures. I can see this leading to them asking better questions or exploring further than a traditional activity. #ARVRinEDU
Super excited to see how your teacher responds to the app. My husband was a little bitter because I didn't show him and his students already finished this topic. #ARVRinEDU
