Hello! I'm Katie from York, Pennsylvania. I'm a HS English teacher.
A fine example of PLN power in action ->
Elem T from Ontario, Hello
A1: Design Challenges are open-ended projects that encourage students to ask questions, take initiative, & think creatively
thank you nice to be here
DESIGN THINKING is a process…
DESIGN THINKING - powerful way for teachers to resolve the complex challenges they face in classrooms, and schools.
The twitterverse was waiting with baited breath for them to arrive -> welcome to
A1: challenges are all about building curiosity and collab amongst SS, https://t.co/FPY0EFvpqy all about exploration
A1: unsure if you are talking about the types of activities that we do in our
yeah it is but such s good way to start the day
thanks for following Lindsey
A1: design challenges are a way for students to problem solve through a creation process.
Aaron, principal from TX. Hello everybody!
A1 In Oz, I think the buzz word for Design challenges is Project based learning
Hey Aaron - welcome buddy
Q1. challenges - flexible spaces, future proof learning spaces, robust and aesthetic, budget friendly
design challenges lead to critical thinking and risk taking - something Ss need in the global workforce
A1: design challenges = mini (or not so mini) moon shots; problems need solutions; designers (S's) solve probs
A1: in my Ss must develop a product or service that solves a problem or innovates existing product.
Good evening,
I'm Lee, an instructional technology coach from NY.
A1: project lead the way is structured all around design thinking, structure to help explore new ideas
A1 Design challenges -- finding the right means -- trad. and tech -- to achieve SLOs in courses
A1: A design challenge is a project that puts the students in control and allows them to explore possibilities
A1 My design challenges for the past month have been based on designing and furnishing a STEAM room while teaching 3 classes
Hi Olwen - thanks for being here
Bingo...listen to Andrew!
A1- opportunities to think about the needs of others where the ending is not for the teacher, but rather a larger audience
A1 Design Challenge: Creative Problem Solving
A1: it's a creative process that utilizes continuous improvement strategies similar to agile or lean
A1) Helps develop an innovator's mindset, it's a combination of PBL, engineering design and design thinking
A1: design challenge can be virtually constructed between Ss & amongst Ts-Ss
this has got to be at the forefront of all learning opportunities for our SS!
A1 marrying function and purpose. Creative thinking and learning need a decent canvas to make it happen
Exactly! And I love the cool things my Ss come up with https://t.co/n67rtxsyMP
A1: project lead the way is structured all around design thinking, structure to help explore new ideas
Welcome! Thanks for joining in
whoa...lots happening with Kevin...
: in a nutshell, Project Based Learning with real world application for problem solving.
A1 I do a design challenge to create a solar cooker that can boil water and cook a raw food to edible condition
hi. susan from kansas city, mo.
thanks for connecting Susan
Agree...but thinking for more broadly for us too. Thoughts? https://t.co/crnTy6LfEK
A1: design challenges are a way for students to problem solve through a creation process.
love early morning chats - gets the brain going for a great day
Agile, Lean, Eric, Addie are all ID schemes to organize how designers achieve the end result. https://t.co/G53lmizTpO
A1: it's a creative process that utilizes continuous improvement strategies similar to agile or lean
A1: Good Design is to empathise with humans and the way they think and experience the world. It's why Apple does well.
It really is about allowing students to follow their own passion in a space that is supportive and collaborative.
YET another fine example of PLN power i action ->
I would suspect the teacher must also be one who encourages S's to ask ?'s, take initiative, think creatively.... just sayin.
A1. Would inquiry, student agency, and count as design challenges? And yes, I'm answering w/ a question. :)
When everyone part of solving difficult challenges…that’s DESIGN THINKING.
The ability to troubleshoot and persevere is an important step
By jove, Rachel nails it!
Sorry to be late - I'm Phiona - HS teacher in Ontario
A1: it also allows Ss to use the collaboration skills they need post graduation. Ts become facilitators
A1: creativity through critical and innovative thinking thru which the maker is involved&explores many diff aspects
I had my Ss make a solar cooker, we baked brownies and a hot cooker from a Pringles can
Hey Phiona - never be sorry - it is great to have you join us
agreed! cant expect SS to have tht mindset if teachers dont, think about SS learning all the time
well, would you be correct?
Also does it meet a practical need that is going underserved in some communities? https://t.co/ldnCxZHW2O
A1: Good Design is to empathise with humans and the way they think and experience the world. It's why Apple does well.
Design thinking—> start by thinking about people’s needs and desires…grow from there.
Q2 coming up in 1 minute ………..
A1 need to look beyond the $$ to make the learning environment purposeful -> new lenses :)
Reply: challenge to build for continuity and relevance.
Welcome Susan... jump in!
A1: Students as disruptive creators... design thinking!
I love being here - thank you
it is that perseverance that is so important to learn and so hard for students to actually do.
Yes, I think that they would all count
anyway you want mate - a pleasure to see you!
A1: my Ss are currently developing an elem playground. Must have costs and CAD files with prototype
A1: design challenges mirrors life. thinking Ss will need navigate beyond the walls of school
modeling is so important in so many ways!
It surely allows the S's to be the 'Sage on the Stage'
and might i say Angelo... you're doing a mighty find job of just sayin
Yes, start with the end in mind and design backwards is a valuable approach
it is a little easier if they see you doing it.
A2: creativity is what solves problems!
A2: Creativity is the ability to think in unusual ways - creativity leads to innovative ideas & unique learning experiences
To ask questions that the teacher does not have the answers to and are also ungoggleable!
Good stuff happening here...go deeper!
A1 revisit slow learning/deep learning processes again. brain needs to process/ space and time essential
: A1 One design challenge we've had w/ a new, modern campus is effectively utilizing indoor/outdoor learning spaces
A2: creativity is part of adaptability; prepping S's for careers that don't exist yet; they better be creative and adaptable!
A1. Good to know I'm on the right track. Wish there were more continuity over all 4 years of HS, though, not just my class.
A2: w/o creativity SS are just memorizing facts, not applying, nor becoming the change agents we need for successful, future
The only limitation a Ss has is their own creativity. Stretch it! Get outside of your comfort zone!
A2: 1000s of jobs disappearing over the next 15 yrs. Thinking openly and creatively about your own talents will become a must
A2:Developes their imagination.
what is the saying...the one doing the work is the one learning. Ss work, Ts facilitate
A2: creativity is what drives innovation and progress. it is a top skill employers seek.
Design thinking: no longer for developing products…now for building positive classroom/school cultures. Are you using?
A2 Creativity answers to changeability of life; creativity develops Ss voice
Chat is Tonight @ 8pm CT/ 9pm ET Come join us as we chat about Unlocking the Universe with
A2: creativity is the natural instinct for humans to leave their mark which fuels the soul & inspires the mind to learn!
Yes,I believe some rely on nature of project. there's the project and there's the "design challenger".
When doing projects, I always give Ss another option: pitch an idea to me. 10/10x so much better than mine!
A2 Real-world problems are messy with many undefined variables. Creativity encourages unlikely solutions.
A2: S's won't be the 1st to try to solve these problems; they need to be creative to conceive what has yet to be imagined
A2: we are wired to create. i think of it more of a muscle than a skill. anyone can create!
A2: Our world will always need creators & inventors!
wrote an interesting post on stretching our comfort zones, has everything to do w/ creativity https://t.co/7RJnH3dMP3
A2: It requires students to think in different ways. You can be creative in the way you solve a math problem
A2. Creativity comes in many forms. Not wrong if it's new to me. Solves problems. Critical thinking. Intrinsic motivation.
A2: in our ever changing world creativity is important. They will solve problems we don't even know are problems yet
A1 the challenge I find is supporting design thinking across inquiries - Ss thinking creatively
A2: It requires students to think in different ways. You can be creative in the way you solve a math problem
Creativity will get a Ss a job, career, etc over someone with straight As & no ability to adjust, be creative outside the box
We just did a design thinking workshop with our 4th graders. now using that thinking in https://t.co/XM3mbpAiVr
Design thinking: no longer for developing products…now for building positive classroom/school cultures. Are you using?
Q2 creativity allows for self discovery, develops passions and builds higher level thinkers.
DESIGN THINKING — hands-on, creative, collaborative, hopeful, energizing…what else?
: A2 Necessary to learn/create/innovate/adapt in our new individualized & personalized education.
A2: creativity will keep them employable and adaptable as industries change
Creativity fosters collaboration and connection - learning is social
A2: it helps to reflect existing knowledge, unfreeze to undertake new ideas.
A2 creativity part of the problem solving & internalising process.Brain capacity &plasticity expands neural pathways
A2 Understanding of creativity being more than making/building/creating but about thinking/relationships/connections
A2. Creativity allows schools to celebrate innovation & independent thinking. Critical in "real world." Provides Ts w/ ideas
A2 Creativity breaks you out of your comfort zone to see what is possible rather than what is not
A2: Creativity is an avenue out of what can sometimes be repetitive, even mundane work
A2). Many kids can regurgitate facts but they can't apply or determine creative solutions to problems.
... A2 and our ever evolving global economy and community needs creative thinkers and innovators.
so excited 2hear u say that. Often times get stuck in the mindset that there is only 1 way to solve a math prob.
A2: creativity is more than cutting/pasting, it is looking at things from multiple angles & taking risks with ideas
DESIGN THINKING - problem finding not just problem solving
A2) Creativity is important because life is unpredictable. Ss need creativity to problem solve.
A2 promoting creativity honours the learner
OK…DESIGN THINKING… who needs more sticky notes?
yep, w/o that modeling we have nothing, nothing for Ss to base future thinking on
A2 it's the pinnacle of higher order of thinking, ability to see connections that others can't
A2What if someone who's becoming a dr -is very good digesting known info, passes exams; but ability to b creative not required.
A2: The world has too many problems for us to solve - we need creative thinkers
A2. Forces Ts to become facilitators of learning rather than sage on the stage. Teaches Ss to think rather than regurgitate.
and when you ask them to, they can't. Breaks my ❤ that we've beat that out of them.
Celine nails it! And nails it good...
we need to design projects through character analysis, tone, science, and history to encourage .
A2: Creativity allows Ss to dig deeper in their thinking and produce work with originality
Creativity needn't be a go it alone strategy. Standing on the shoulders of giants is helpful. https://t.co/CLybg4OO8r
A2: it helps to reflect existing knowledge, unfreeze to undertake new ideas.
I think it's important especially this time of year because we are in high gear. A2)
Nirvana, they name is design thinking!
A2 Creativity will happen when teachers return to teaching from the heart and not from the text.Text boks destroy creativity
A2, Creativity is important because it lets one value their ideas and wanting to see them in real
A2: society values creative people more than ones who can fill a spreadsheet. Unspoken commodity.
and when that happens the easiest option is often the only one taken.
coming from a former student, that's high praise!!
is starting to hit its rhythm - if you are lurking, come and say hi and join our community today
is starting to hit its rhythm - if you are lurking, come and say hi and join our community today
ANYONE use design thinking as part of you faculty/staff meetings?
Creativity is the freedom to think without fear
Do you have a DESIGN THINKING course at your school? Have you had a DESIGNING THINKING professional learning day?
Q3 coming up in 1 minute ………..
Absolutely agree. And all students are born with desire to achieve, be creative, the problem is sustaining that!
yes, can be problematic ---
Me to S's: when trying to solve a problem, see it from as many perspectives as possible; creative people do this naturally
thanks! I have been working on an ELA and Higher Ed Project all day that addresses this! So my mind is there!
A2 promoting creativity requires a radical shift in school culture.More than lip service & tickboxes
RT envirojer A1 I do a design challenge to create a solar cooker that can boil water and cook a raw food to edible condition
I found myself staring at a metaphorical canvas today wondering how to help several of my Ss solve problems
Bingo... Minakshi grads the gold ring!
is now trending in USA, ranking 45
Definitely, even the OECD are trying to push it, not just English and Maths in PISA
People that can communicate creativity are sought after by companies
so true, total shift and one that makes many Ts and SS uncomfortable!! https://t.co/l07qBaTELA
A2 promoting creativity requires a radical shift in school culture.More than lip service & tickboxes
A2: educators need to be creative themselves in order to better understand creative process
ha, a classroom 'must have' ,,,,
and determination on the part of the T! Easy to give up.
great to be connected Elizabeth
A2: Creativity is also becoming a class issue. So how do we ensure ALL students have opportunities for creative thinking?
Creativity isn't just a skill or strategy ... it is an attitude ...
while we each have a role to play - creativity has a way of leaving a lasting/positive impact on many
thanks bro, trying to get through an hangout - no luck, unfortunately :(
Excellent work! Thanks for sharing and being an important part of the conversation https://t.co/MvcGNKJDvF
thanks! I have been working on an ELA and Higher Ed Project all day that addresses this! So my mind is there!
I want to sing really loudly, "Amen!"
Hello Mark, thank you it means a lot as it comes from you https://t.co/XmzzNnLSs0
Bingo... Minakshi grads the gold ring!
A3: they need to foster & facilitate further thinking & content coverage without limiting modality for display of knowledge.
A3 Design challenges ask how? Creativity answer w the end in sight. New paths to identifiable ends. New ends emerge.
Welcome Carmel - thanks for being here
A3 Design challenges ask students to think of what could be (creativity) rather than what is
A3: By allowing Ss to explore, make mistakes, and try again. Design challenges are a playground for Ss to build their learning
&since some of them will become Ts & teach like they were taught, we have to up our game!
sad, sad, sad state of affairs... but certainly an alterable circumstance with teachers such as ->
A3: Gives students opportunities to think outside the square and create things to solve problems
A3) I love asking my students to create something instead of giving them a pattern. I get 24 different ways to do it:)
Thx, a rewarding career as a music educator - I'm guessing a lot of design thinking in creating music
A3: design challenges are not about a right answer but about possibilities.
They listen, speak & do differently. https://t.co/wM9iz1yZ7K
People that can communicate creativity are sought after by companies
A3) Possibly because the real life design challenges we face depend on creative solutions for a better future world?
A3: design thinking can inspire creativity - especially if Ss have latitude to help to decide what they design
Creativity attitude = it is possible attitude https://t.co/EZWewiAKEq
Creativity isn't just a skill or strategy ... it is an attitude ...
is trending on Twitter in
Q3 they develop critical thinking skills, Which must be practiced. They're not just perfected once people join the workforce.
A3 include a negotiated component-> method->content->process-> etc give the students genuine ownership of the process
it's funny sometimes that they think I will just give in. 💪not even close!
The 4 components of creativity: Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, Elaboration
creativity allows you to view challenges from a different perspective ... understand there is more than one answer
A3 creating an environment that allows for false starts and do overs makes creativity a tangible commodity. Ss can seek it
takes 2 week in elem, 3 weeks in middle, and 5 weeks in HS for kids to adjust to new methods.
Yes, sadly. That needs to stop, sooner than later. Who's in?
Q3: Relive history. Example - were at NASA during Apollo 13. How can we solve this problem? Real life spurs necessity.
A3: Aren't our seminal documents the product of design challenges & didn't they require creativity? Dec of Ind, Constitution
Love this -- we use these with our kids all the time. https://t.co/e1ehHSa01U
The 4 components of creativity: Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, Elaboration
A3.Once you close the text book ,shut down IWB,and get pupils talking and thinking you are into design and creativity
A3: E.g. When students are encouraged to redesign elements of their schooling, the empowerment inspires creative solutions.
A3: design challenges provide the chance to build a culture of taking chances and learning/collabing w/ others
I am learning to like being uncomfortable...
A3: Gives them opportunity to query reasonings & challenge each other in a collaborative project
A3: no single right answer - let's Ss decide how to solve the problem. Many times get an answer not seen before!
A3, DC lets1⃣feel motivated with ideas, inquire, explore, think and apply their knowledge & learning, leading to empowerment
A3 Imposing constraints through design challenges can inspire creativity. Reducing options can increase focus, open up ideas
By that I mean US seminal docs... what others can S's examine in this light? https://t.co/YRdFloNxWb
A3: Aren't our seminal documents the product of design challenges & didn't they require creativity? Dec of Ind, Constitution
A3 Ss need to utilize their prior knowledge in an unknown exciting new way, to analyze, synthesize, and solve problems
making a safe environment for risk is important!
We need to re-design the game.
A3 embed the practice of seeing problems=challenges and opportunities = +ve psychology & excitement for learning & engagement
we have to have elaboration, if Ss can't explain their thoughts/creations then its all for naught
A3. Design challenges ask Ss to dig deeply into Ss intrinsic lens, find solutions or new paths for understanding/growth
A3: design challenges/thinking teach empathy and perspective.
A3: Necessity is the mother of invention. Creativity grows with purpose, need, and want. Create challenges matching a need.
it is actually quite a fun place to be. once you get your head in the right space :)
Misconception that you must be born creative! Not so...you can teach the 4 Creative Components and then watch the magic begin!
A3) Ss may be unaware of their creative potential, important for Ts to encourage & support in all avenues
I'm constantly reflecting because of my PLN. How can I guide Ss better? What feedback are my Ss giving me?
that book should be on everyone's reading list. Right now!!!
Well said... maybe add a little urgency... think "The Martian" :)
A3, giving one an opportunity to be creative is the 1st step towards letting the person know they are valued&trusted,
A3Design a class environment where children feel like all of their artifacts represent the expectations in one way or another.
A3 Open creative thinking as a product of collaboration empowers S and T to move forward and take chances
Yes...so wrong headed...thanks for making this point...
if Ts model being uncomfortable then that becomes ingrained in the culture, necessary if we want innovation
Q4 coming up in 1 minute ………..
A3. Design challenges allow for cross-content collaboration. Ss use all resources rather than segmented learning from 1 class.
Empathy, the one great skill to give a child
A2 science standards allow for more flexibility in instruction, room for creativity and problem solving/ discovery
So true, connect+collaborate+inquire+communicate+reflect=empowerment
Joining late, but always love chat. Problem solving and challenge are both key components of motivation and engagement
I love the way a design challenge brings all the subject areas and allows for even are most hard to reach Ss to achieve.
A4) had Ss redesign monkey bars to alleviate calloused hands
yep! But we need to be sensitive to bringing the crew with us. redefine "uncomfortable" in as +ve
Choice and Voice, matters the most for anyone to feel they shine
I love sharing what works in education!
How do I show my Ss the road less taken is worth it?
Hi , jumping in super late. Leigh here..Assistant Principal from Southeast, MO. Excited to learn!
A4: I had my Ss study seed dispersal then gave them all a seed and had them design a seed dispersal device based on nature.
A4 adding a real world, student selected, negotiated component to each unit/task
slow process that can't be rushed, others slowly buy in so amazing opport.
Good evening . Debby from NY joining late.
A4: Mostly organic from passions & interests of the kids as year progresses. I love history, but have to see their interests.
A4: The science department at my school gives Ss materials and prompt designing with: "Use these to solve x problem."
A4b) Ss also design solar cookers, hot dog cookers, and birdhouses to help PA's endangered birds
take it yourself and ask them to join you on the journey. I use to do that with my extension kids, they loved it
A4 Design challenges of group creation for collaboration, peer review & synchronous mtgs online
A4: Ss build a filtration system for our school's rain barrel
A4: Mystery box challenges! The innovation that occurs is wild!
A4: consider looking for design challenges within school (playground, recess schedule) or in local community (partnerships)
You're right about that. is a voice for so many of us and our Ss.
A4 How can we reduce the food waste in our cafeteria?
That sounds like so much fun!
I know! find your change evangelists & start the revolution that way. They do come on board in some way
A4. I adore for 9th grade. They choose their passion & identify ways to turn passion into career
My Ss would like to design an igloo out of milk jugs to help the homeless, now that's a challenge
True, making them feel that their strength is what's makes our classroom shine is crucial
My kids LOVED it. They would have challenges. They would create, present, & compete. It was a BLAST!
Sometimes it's hard to see the progress when you are in the trenches. Thanks for your encouragement.
A4: Inspiring when design challenges provide opportunities for S collaboration or even global collaboration.
A4: makes some great kits to use with ELA. I have Ss retell and expand writing ideas, etc.
develop all lessons with this in mind, no question important for
4) I like to use inductive reasoning when tching content.I create stations Ss must be creative prob solvers tofind the answer.
4) I like to use inductive reasoning when tching content.I create stations Ss must be creative prob solvers tofind the answer.
But my mind is now ticking over with the things I may be able to implement
Yet another example of PLN Power in action -->
A4. Ss take passion & take action NOW to create positive social change in our community.
You are very welcome, Chris!
A4. Write a song, lyrics and melody, that demonstrates how you or someone feels about....
Sounds great! Did they create the mystery boxes? I have to try this with my 3rd graders!
sorry guys I have to get off - have a funeral to attend. Thank you for a great chat!
A4: Innovation Wednesdays. My students would create something that didn't exist yet. The creative energy is out of control
I forget about the slow part of the process during the day. It's like snow analogy.
Real social problem + sustainable solution = creativity https://t.co/B5fXk9Q5ev
My Ss would like to design an igloo out of milk jugs to help the homeless, now that's a challenge
Thank you - you rock Tanya
A4, any activity that lets S's Explore,Inquire, get creative, share and shine
A4: My Ss created media connected with their novel - video & board games/paintings, poems/songs/puzzles/jazz music/card trick
game changer if this were to happen, not just making stuff, but creatively innovating new solutions
yes. I would put random items in two boxes (the same). They had 30 min to collaborate, then create, then present it
My second tutoring S commented on this to me today. She said kids love the way I teach stuff. I was humbled.
Q5 coming up in 1 minute ………..
A4 integrate learning areas as much as possible. Collaborate with colleagues to make it happen
A4: for me it's Design challenges that not only show Ss understanding, but make it a form others can use to learn from.
A4: Ss love to create/develop their own design challenges for each other. This makes for a great reflection lesson as well.
they are always the ones who remind us when we are doing a good job and when we are doing a not so good job
A4: S's fix an eroding political system? convince communities to educate their girls? stop epidemics humanely? they can try!
PRICELESS... thanks Lindsey ->
I really am going to do this! I absolutely love this idea!
Fly higher, stronger, longer:) I'm channeling my inner poet. would be smiling:)
what is school? https://t.co/Q2hJmXZkOS
The only limitation a Ss has is their own creativity. Stretch it! Get outside of your comfort zone!
A5) I use the creative technique: SCAMPER
My Ss collaborated with a music class - we told stories & they played music based on the mood -
A5) One surefire way is to be creative yourself and share your failures with your class too!
Awesome! Creative opportunity abounding!!
A4 my inspiration is Google's 4+1 model that seems to be the most effective way to foster creativity
They are why I get up with the birds every day:)
A5: Teachers can work and inspire alone but culture comes from community. Parents, schools, cities need to join in as a team.
A5: I inspire creativity of my students who are now teachers and administrators by asking them the right questions.
A5 "what makes you say that?" creative questioning
agree T collaboration and open minded thinking to possibilities creates possibilities
A5: Create a learning space, transform your traditional classroom into a discovery play land. A place where Ss WANT to be
A5. Whatever I ask Ss to do, I do thru modeling too I react to the good, bad & ugly of design challenges. "We learn together"
The best hing is Ss don't even see this as learning - they get so engaged
A5 Share wonder, allow curiosity, invite solutions to inspire creativity. Recognize and value creativity in others.
Looking 4ward 2tweeting w Ts Fri.1-29 Join us@ 11am 2talk
A5: I eliminated my desks, brought in a rocker, rugs, lamps, maps, natural lighting, plants, quotes EVERYWHERE.
A5 scaling technique.Where are you now? What would it take to get you to a higher level? How are you going to do that?
I feel that student reflection is everything w/ Shows them how far they come.
A5: I give students voice and encourage them to think outside the square as much as possible in all areas
A5: Ask more from yourself than your students. See what you want and model it - students naturally follow lead by example.
Allowing Ss to question is an important part of the design process.
A5) I share my own creations, built my own Barbie dream house as kid, they loved seeing the pics
A5: Easy to inspire creativity in 1st grade.Get to know Ss, play music, provide various ways for Ss to showcase their learning.
A5: give choice. show own creativity. exemplars. ask questions.
Am developing a unit for G3 based around & see possibilities around creativity as a concept
A5: Provide a culture that failure is accepted & not feared. Embrace Student Voice & Student Choice
A5) Ss enjoying Genius Hour, looking to try "Innovation Week", we all have our own sense of creativity, need to highlight it
A5 I like using a learning diary.Reflecting on the learning not the content. gets to the nitty gritty of how & why of learning
A5. I take-risks. Provide safe environment. Make us a family. Explain creativity is messy & beautiful. No wrong path.
A5 I talk to them about what I think is possible and get them to discuss ways on which it could be improved or changed
. So true. Creativity is what great Ts cultivate by modeling & setting the stage for student success.
A5) Creativity time is a big incentive for my Ss.
A5: Kids are curious. Adults make excuses. Kids want answers. Give them questions without answers. They can't stand it!
speaking of did u see the new evolution? I wasn't much of a fan as a kid but I like the change.
if you don't have great books for young readers?
A5: By valuing original thinking, prompting Ss to think deeply & from multiple perspectives & encouraging collaboration
A5: Inquiry and Wonder Walls are a great way to spark creativity as well.
This is so well-stated! My class and I always discuss learning from our mistakes. https://t.co/CiST5rKfDK
A5. I take-risks. Provide safe environment. Make us a family. Explain creativity is messy & beautiful. No wrong path.
A5: My students had "Passion Projects" that they explored for weeks. It inspired me to LEARN every day!
