My division is using tech to make it easier for schools to work with data. If we expect schools to use data, we need to make it accessible and relevant. Tech lets us do that. #bfc530
Every student in our school has access to chromebooks. Love that I dont have to "fight" for a cart, but adds another layer for classroom management that can make one ? the benefits. #bfc530

We are poulating the core classes of each grade with chromebook carts. Students have access to chromebooks on an almost 1:1 basis. There are also sign out options (from Library) for those classes yet to be populated. #bfc530

#bfc530 High School Students in Sydney Catholic Schools are 1:1 and many primary. All students and staff have access to the full range of Google Apps for Ed. Very useful. Trick is to deploy the right pedagogy with the right amount of tech to support learning.
We have a wide range of tech ... I do not think we use it as well as we could or should ... how much is really using the tech vs just using as google machines #bfc530
#bfc530 Many of the schools have access to laptop carts. A few schools are 1-1. There are, however, still schools with little access. A few resourceful Ts are turning to grant writing to fill the tech gaps in their classroom.
In my classroom we have an interactive TV - I haven't been given PD on how to use it but I've been learning as I go and the students are really enjoying it. Does anyone else have an interactive TV in their classroom? #bfc530

This year in January, we went 1:1. Our Ss have been using @Seesaw , @Google classroom, various coding apps, @Flipgrid, @Achieve3000, @GetKahoot just to name a few! They’ve also taken the majority of their local and state assessments online. #BFC530

We have 16 laptop carts and several labs. We are about 2-1. Ss have access to @MicrosoftEDU Office 365 and all its tools. Many Ts use @msonenote, @Flipgrid, and @Newsela. Some starting to use @goformative more. Technology is pretty embedded in the curriculum. #bfc530
Yes agreed! @google has been really great for so many projects. My final project for 70+ Ss was to create webpages on @google sites. Pretty cool stuff.

I think an issue tech usage in Education is that many teachers really do not understand the power of the machine they have and what it can do ... a computer is more than a word processor or a search device. #bfc530
We have used @IXLLearning for math this year and I used it as a review but also in a flipped classroom kind of way. My Ss LOVED IXL for math and next year we will be getting it for LAL. Can't wait for the possibilities! #bfc530
BYOD mostly. Some classrooms have 5 Chromebooks to be loaned to those with no phone. The library has 36 that can be signed out for the day by students. Plus a few class sets Ts can book. #bfc530

We are a #GSuiteEDU board. I really love what the Google environment offers. Google Classroom is awesome and many of my colleagues have jumped on hoard with it. #bfc530

@IXLLearning is good practice, I've use it in conjunction with @DeckToys and my Ss are more motivated to practice and really understand, which is, above all, most important! #bfc530

We are lucky at @HiltonCSD to be at the point where Technology (primarily Chromebooks) are almost ubiquitous in the classroom. Few internet/bandwidth issues and tons of support from @HiltonCadetTech@MZaffuts to expand. #bfc530
Our schools have several computer labs and multiple carts of both chrombooks and iPads, students also may bring and use their own personal devises 😊 we are working toward each school integrating 1 to 1 #bfc530

We have a 1:1 Chromebook setup & it has made differentiated instruction much easier (& more subtle), has allowed for more transparent & accountable workflows, and has yielded some uniquely engaging lessons - but paper still has its place, too #bfc530https://t.co/sCSrZKEQ8j
Older students have 1:1 Macbooks or Chromebooks. 7/8 take Macbooks home. I had access to old white Macbooks as only option for 1:1. We have limped along this year implementing gsuite, mobymax, epic, @flipgrid, @edpuzzle, @peardeck, @seesaw, @decktoys. Chromebooks next yr #bfc530

Our students have a main computer at their U-shaped tables and access to laptops and tablets for math, LA, Sc & Ss classes. Plus they have a cloud account through Microsoft #BFC530
Absolutely! If all you have done is transition from hard copy text books to a digital version,not much has happened.If you're planning lessons with needs & outcomes of Ss in mind & apply say Blooms Digital Taxonomy(as an example) then you're moving in the right direction #bfc530

We use @Desmos instead of graphing calculators. 📱
And my students do practice problems on @khanacademy instead of from a textbook. 📚

We are also a #gsuiteedu board. I use D2L with my grade 12s though as most University/Colleges use that platform. Gets them familiar. Lots of chromebooks and ipads for student use. Teachers can sign them out for their classes. #BFC530

We are behind... @MelissaUlrich3 leads our elementary computer class for 40 minutes per week, but state/district testing gets priority when req. We have an iPad cart to share, but it's near impossible to reserve. So I'm left with 4 comps that I don't integrate regularly. #bfc530
