a1. Family time, kids bike ride, watching kids play sports, reading, watching sports, playing soccer,
I am from sunny and hot southern Cali. K-8ELA TOA w/3rd through 12th graders on my roster. Admin/coach/mentor hopeful and tired lol
family time is the most important time.
I do find it hard to be ok with doing nothing or having nothing to do. But a short break is always awesome - time to just hang
I play lots of Farm Heroes Saga & binge watch shows I recorded all year but didn't have time to watch to relax
if you are on but not on I simply gotta ask, "what are you thinking?"
I love quietness of being in coffee shop reading/working/ & just being when i get chance. Even if it is a short time.
What type of things with the family help you wind down from work
Okay but only because I wasn't thinking, it is summer after all... Here from Eastland, Texas, US History & Sped

A4- I would like to read Into Thin Air and House on Mango St. Because we are asking Ss to read them
I must admit... I am a little biased and I team taught it together. :D
A4 and I highly recommend Between Shades of Gray by - my Ss loves it so much my daughter and I had to read it

Yes... that is on my to read list too! I own it but I haven't dived in yet. Love insight into innovation
Love authors who make themselves accessible to students. It makes it so authentic for the kids.
A5- I have to create all new ELA k-8curriculum for my independent study sites but I want to make it more interesting

A5- I also want to find a way to get more involved in teacher coaching/mentoring/training w/my admin credential that I'm not using

What is your biggest challenge holding this back? Parents or admin?
I taught for many years- getting student 2 create and think outside the box is always a win. This is a g8 goal
our district requires certain of grades per grading period. Ps not on board. Grades=achievement in their eyes.

Sigh. my district moving towards portfolio assess in elem but grades still a big deal achievement > learning
