A2 - currently exploring a variety of digital portfolios - in Ontario,Canada - our policy document states- https://t.co/z9eqWNnvFb
There is a free version that works perfectly for individual classrooms!
Honestly, if I could only use one app, this would be the one! Endless possibilities!

Can introduce themselves in "all about me"
A2 - currently exploring a variety of digital portfolios - in Ontario,Canada - our policy document states- https://t.co/I6YSR5QAap

A3: I am going to have my students draw a self-portrait and snap a picture!
A2 I use it for parent communication, had a parent join today to see all last year's work the key is to get them signed up
I use it for my adult workshop attendees.Keeps everything we create in one place, & allows them to learn as they go!
A3: My kids love taking selfies, but thinking of creating their own photos by drawing this year!
A3: I am thinking my students might like to turn their icons into NFL athletes? If that possible?
That's what I"m thinking, letting them do a self portrait https://t.co/9H071BLPuU
A3: My kids love taking selfies, but thinking of creating their own photos by drawing this year!

A3: I am going to have my students draw a self-portrait and snap a picture!
It is also a perfect way to produce flipped classroom productions! Easy to create and store for Ss.

The positive energy on the line is impressive. What kind of peer pushback have any of you experienced?
A3: My students have to change their icon to a pick with all group members when doing a group assignment
A3 As I am learning, I found out I can use real pictures or an icon
I don't have experience with , but from articles it seems to be effective in connecting students, parents, and teachers.
we upload lots of our activities. Ex. counting centers
A3: had them use a historical/current figure that represents the content we are studying in Gov. Civil Rights? pick a leader
You just gave me a great idea, create superheroes! Useapps to create them! Anything you put in photos can be used!
What are the limitations of the free version of ?
if district is not 1:1 (like mine) you start to "hog the computers/lab"
I'm thinking a favorite book character!
awesome! or since I am doing pirates this year....create pirates!
Great idea! I love app smashing!
can't wait to come watch you in action in your classroom!
Currently student teaching in Frontenac, KS in Tech. I am hoping to integrate new apps such as . 😃
That is a good problem! Not an issue as we are 1:1!
how does it work w parents who access both classroom and PE seesaw? Does that make sense?
Wow!! That's huge! Definitely going to give it a look and a try.
good point, this is one of the best tools for your classrooms then!
You can come to my classroom anytime! Firsties are a joy to watch!
Ps can just switch Ts and children if they have siblings who use seesaw, within the app
None! I also used it in my Pride time, kids were thrilled, started asking Classroom T's to use it!
Parents have two different access (or QR) codes!
Great visual that helps me understand its applicable use compared to what I am familiar with!
email me and I will be there!!!
wait I want a visit as well:) love to show off our firsties
Let's get this going and invite to our building!
seriously considering paying the $150 for the teacher plus version.

A4: beginning of the year, take a selfie with someone who- so fun
wait, I'll send you a link for a free month!
I would love to find another 3rd grade class to blog with. Let me know if anyone is interested.
This. Is. My. Goal. This. Year! Thank you for inspiring me to do this!
A4: Post an image, Ss copy and edit, the choose text/record/draw to show what math they see. Great morning work!

A4 I made a memory book and turned it into a movie parents still watching
last 15 min are for Q & A, all the amazing Ts here will help answer what we can or will find the answer https://t.co/Y0ryYoOP3l
A4: Last one! Did you reach your goal on the PACER, how did you feel (addresses Standard 5) https://t.co/NCBDQzrU9N

Here is my math meeting example I made. S will draw a different number daily, send to me and assess, done! https://t.co/7pQ8djsTbb
Since it's my 1st yr doing , what would you say I should start with? How did you introduce it to kids?
Any issues that you encountered when using seesaw?
A5 Thank you for the chance to share and learn more
How are students taking the lead and influencing their learning with ?
Not sure why video didn't attach! She recorded her voice in addition to drawing!
they have great ideas on their site, or start with 1 skill at a time, draw, upload image, etc, add audio
Snap pics during the week, up into , record, share in - quick and easy!
How long do you have access to the data that is posted in a free account?
What have you found to be the best way to introduce to P's?
Not giving Ss enough time to ! Had to add it to my Daily 5 center time!
They learn to reflect on their thinking, then make constructive comments to other Ss
I'm pulling all of my examples tonite from last years classes!
Is there an opportunity for parents to also reflect and comment?
they say to archive each school year, but it will be there longer for now
Ps can download their childs work at the end https://t.co/RJ0yTQJuTL
How long do you have access to the data that is posted in a free account?
Snag Ps at a b2s event and give them an opportunity to sign up. Show them examples of what will be done. Encourage!
Thank you everyone for some great ideas. This was an informative and useful chat. Everyone have a great 1st or 2nd week.
Huge shoutout to & for leading tonight! You are all amazing!!

Shoutout to our awesome Tech Director at for being on board to help with this!
Ps can comment if you allow it, my Ss loved reading comments from the Ps
Yes! Thank you for all the great ideas! https://t.co/aPyuQXlMXw
Huge shoutout to & for leading tonight! You are all amazing!!
I just saw a post that parents can put work on a Zip drive.
If you don't have 1:1, what have other people done?
There is an option for shared device. SS tag their posts!
it's a great app if you don't have 1:1, ss upload work and then pick their name to turn it in, not device specific
I have dedicated a Friday or part of Block day to allow them to "catch up". All things must be in by Friday
Please reach out to , or myself if you ever have questions about
Thanks for a wonderful tonight, everybody! Happy to connect and share resources! https://t.co/WPRL6sokkK

Thanks for leading a great chat! Feeling inspired! You are all great resources!
Last question- Can I make it so that all Ss can see an upload a student makes? And maybe the other ss can't comment back?
great seeing you on this eve!
