Hi! My name is Kim. I am an AUM College of Education Graduate Student. I currently teach 9th grade World History. I usually ask my colleagues about various collaborative topics. #CollaborativePD
Hi everybody! I'm here to get some #CollaborativePD from y'all! I'm Kathi, a Tech Integration Specialist from NJ. Gotta say that I am soooooo sunburnt tonight! Glad to sit still & chill with you all for a bit!

Here in #Alabama-seniors are required to take a Civics test. Do you have any thoughts about that? Many are not interested and History is becoming a lost art. #CollaborativePD

Experienced now extincet APEP and PEP! Front loaded information to spark conversations when together. Would be amazed at what it would look like now. #CollaborativePD

A1: You know what popped into my mind instantly? #Edcamp! When I went to my very 1st edcamp, I could not BELIEVE all the choices, the diversity, the random side-discussions, the varied types of presentations, the continued connections...I'm still amazed by it! #CollaborativePD

Hi Lisa! Oh, a big move for you this year! I loved teaching 2nd graders and 3rd graders!!!! Lots of fun read-aloud in 3rd grade for me :) #CollaborativePD
I think my best learning experience came during my internship. Education is essential, but you must be able to engage and channel challenged children. #poverty#depression#hunger#lowMorale Any PD about those topics help me educate my type of students better. #CollaborativePD
A1 Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Chalhoub both in math. I honestly can’t tell you what they did but they made math so easy that I was able to excel and learn to love math. They just were able to explain it in simple terms and made it ok to mess up #CollaborativePD
A1: Literally anytime I went to any PD with @sethnbrown. Also edcamps. I love a good edcamp. I just love feeling more invigorated afterwards.#collaborativepd

Awwww....I love that you're remembering them by name! There's something special about that - even if none of us knows them. They clearly were special to you, and that's awesome! #CollaborativePD
Oh wow! Awesome!!! Everyone please welcome Martin!!!!!
Really so happy to have you joining us. We meet back every 3rd Wednesday of the month! Happy to have you in the #CollaborativePD Family! :) @participate
A1 - Spring 1990 ... NAS Millington ... spent weeks learning how jets work ... how to work the Flightline ... followed by the practical application of turning and burning a a chained down jet. Learning led to real life experience ... #collaborativepd
A2: I have a couple of super experienced and knowledgeable left field thinking friends who I love collaborating and edu-scheming with. Such fun! #CollaborativePD
I worked with the coordinator for Special Education at my school. It was eye opening to see and learn some of the teaching strategies she used. I was able to apply some strategies within my classroom as well. #CollaborativePD
A1: When the instructor used “I-WE-YOU.” He showed me how to do it first, we did it together a few times, and then he watched me do it by myself. #CollaborativePD
A1: After several years of teaching and trying new ways, then reflecting on my own parental skills. Started bringing the mother mode to class. #CollaborativePD

A1: Defnitely wasn’t in elementary or JHS! But once in HS we got to make a video to show our research about well-being - good fit there! Now I can can find what works for me which is so much easier! #CollaborativePD
A2 Our DLC @CarrieJostmeyer on our campus gave hands on experience with apps and gave us opportunities to think how they could be utilized in the classroom. I felt we were able to collaborate and learn together how we could use new technology in the classroom #CollaborativePD
A2: I really enjoy any conference, workshop, etc. that gives me choice. I want to be able to find things that match my current needs and interest. I feel respected when I have choices. #CollaborativePD
Been inspired by Summer ... spending time on the beach and how that calmness and tranquility creates a cool vibe for thinking ... learning #collaborativePD
I agree with differentiation is significant, but how do we differentiate for the #lazy one. Some just refuse to go with the flow regardless of the many options. #curious#CollaborativePD

A2-I moved to 4th after 10 years teaching 1st. I loved and was so thankful for the collaboration with my new grade level this year @LHiatt45@mooremathteach They truly helped me adjust #CollaborativePD
A2: I really love the impromptu learning that can happen when you just “click” with a group of people and form a little bit of #roguePD on the side. #collaborativePD
Can we send this answer to every administrator in the world? Does someone have a master list of that? 😉Let them know that we all REALLY, REALLY, REALLY like choice in learning what we know we need for PD? #CollaborativePD
Learning content is one thing, but that moment when you stop writing content notes and start developing an implementation plan is what I want ... I usually want to tell the leader to stop talking so I can get something done #collaborativePD

A2: Having some face to face time with my people at a couple of conferences to work through some things we had been talking about! #ascdl2l@EL_ASCD#CollaborativePD
#CollaborativePD
A2: Working on sheltered instruction with @JoseMedinaJr89 & meshing that work with @BIEpbl led me to experiment w empowering EAL students via civic journalism, dystopian screenwriting, & more SDG-driven PBL with English Language Learners. https://t.co/MnzvmmuErY
A3: The dread of being in a session where I already knew the content. Goes back to what folks have been saying about choice (in this case, the lack thereof). #CollaborativePD
I like to text my peers who are also in the PD ... one time my peer forgot to silence her phone ... I realized this when I texted and I kept texting ... over and over #collaborativePD

A3- The mandated sit and get that I find my mind everywhere but focused on the speaker. With my lack of attention span, I need interaction! #CollaborativePD

Just even yesterday catching up with @HostBrian to chat about inquiry, having @prodivame drop in and chat too. There is so much knowledge and experience out there. #collaborativepd
A3 the one that tried to be interactive but it was still a sit and get. It was interesting but didn’t inspire me to take action. Firmly believe we should give PD like we would a lesson to Ss. Give choice and voice #CollaborativePD
sitting in a long session about implementing the #ACT into your curriculum. Some educators must go back to the basics and scaffold the students. We (educators and administration) send mix signals. Quick lessons, but require a long test. #CollaborativePD
A3: I know it's now a common expression, but it screams truth: We do not want PD that is done TO us.
Please don't spray me with All-Purpose PD. #collaborativepd
A3: Incidental PD when there are a multitude of deadlines (such as new reporting) is not effective. I remember little about the PD, as my head was thinking about outcomes and comments. #collaborativepd

A4: With choice as a theme, I’ve been reading and hearing a lot about the promise of EdCamps. I love the idea of teachers teaching one another. #CollaborativePD
A3: For me in a flexible position, everything was chosen by ME and I made some great choices! Met awesome people, built some new relationships & started some new collaborations. @KDSL07#ASCDL2L@ascd@EL_ASCD#collaborativePD#21cli
Don's here!!! Yay! We saved you a seat! And, check out responses to Q3--I think you'll be interested like I was!!! I took lots of notes :) #CollaborativePD
They may have been laughing at me attempting to tweet whilst walking up a hill. Trees have a knack of jumping out at you when doing all of that. #CollaborativePD

A3: Anytime, last year included, where professional learning happens w/o maintenance/PLCs that follow in adding sustainability to the initial PD. Research shows one-off PD just doesn't seem to stick/work. As PD leaders, we need to note. https://t.co/nFJOUgHWLd
I agree! It's important to tap into in-house experts and build capacity within! Schools spend too much $$$ bringing in "gurus" and "consultants". Sometimes, it's just wonderful to learn from peers and colleagues! #CollaborativePD
A4 I’m collaborating with my DLC And another teacher on my campus to give edcamp like PDs that give teachers choice on what they want to learn about based on their interests. #CollaborativePD
