Join the Collaborative Professional Development movement! Every month, Jennifer Williams and Participate invite you to share how you are incorporating blended learning tools and ideas derived from other educators into your instruction and professional development. This chat is great if you are new to Twitter, or a seasoned social media maven. Ultimately, it’s about empowerment and self-discovery through the expansion of personal learning networks, and the ability to blend in voices, concepts and tools from all over the world.
Hey #collaborativepd! Excited to be here and ready to kick off the 2019 conference season this week with #FETC, then #ISTE, and #ST4T. Can't wait to connect with so many amazing educators all in one area!!
A1 Hello #collaborativePD cannot wait to see you all at #FETC ! I figure out my schedule, plan events with friends, time with PLN is so important to me, enjoy learning from them #my53s#4oCFPLN
A1-I like to make a mental list (and sometimes a physical one) of my "must do" sessions and connections on the Expo Floor. I also try to spread out my obligations with speaking. All other connections I make through random conversations are just icing on the cake! #collaborativepd
A1: Aside from setting up a live feed of all @EdTechAmber sketches, I plan to learn from friends and colleagues - new and old - share what we've been dreaming up @participate and do my best to spot wisdom within the noise #CollaborativePD
A1 I mark the sessions that I am interested in going to (but I usually get caught up talking with others about new ideas and miss sessions) #collaborativePD
A1: Confession time. Lately I freeload off of others' prep work of identifying must-see sessions/presenters, networking meetups and when to hit the exhibitor hall #CollaborativePD
A2 we talk every day on @voxer and I follow the @fetc blog to see where people are, follow on Twitter and attend some of the events to meet more #PLN#collaborativePD#Fetc
A2 share docs with ideas that flow from sessions. They are never really about what the session is about but more about the ideas that we can try from them #collaborativePD
I'm not proud of it but it is what it is, ya know? Plus, people don't seem to mind (or even notice) so I don't have to feel too guilty #CollaborativePD
@bigguyinabowtie just did a great post with 100 awesome educators to connect with at #FETC and on Twitter. BigGuy, can you share the link? #CollaborativePD

A2: The FOLLOWUP/AFTERWARDS piece has become the real source of meaningfulness for me. Last year was my first #FETC and as awesome as the conference was, connecting w that PLN afterwards has led to some of the most rewarding moments of my year #CollaborativePD
I love that. More of us should share with others ideas that take shape in conference sessions. Maybe that way more of these ideas would turn into reality. #CollaborativePD

A3: Simply firing up Periscope for spontaneous "ubercab confessions" have been cool for me. The weirdness leads to fun conversations and the streaming invites others into backseat with us...and archives it for later #CollaborativePD cc @ShellTerrell
A2-Some of the most meaningful things for me have become the conversations that happen organically, pulled up at a Blogger's Cafe table,at lunch on the floor, or after the conference over dinner. I love sharing my reflections via #sketchnotes as well with my #PLN. #collaborativepd

Couldn't agree more. This year going to fewer conferences to better develop relationships that initiate at them. Been to many, and find FETC among the best. Big, not too big. Warm. Early in the year, so people are still forward-thinking rather than chasing #collaborativepd
For me, sessions are several months old. We need to see where to push forward. This is one of the things that bugs me about big conferences. Ideas are submitted so far in advance that they are old by the time they are presented #collaborativePD
Good question. It's been amorphous but not due to strategy, more just me being hectic and scattered and somewhat unreliable over email #CollaborativePD
For me, this way keeps the idea rolling. Most of the time we are trading pics of the idea coming to fruition and iterations as we make changes #CollaborativePD

A3 tweet out ideas from the session. Sharing is caring. Be careful if you are streaming sessions. Some people aren’t keen about you sharing their talk #CollaborativePD
A4: I'm doing a workshop on Badges on Monday. Really excited to learn from so many edu heroes every other minute except for the time during which I'm going to try to teach remotely... #collaborativepd
A4 I am looking for the session “How to become as edu famous and only have to do speaking gigs” This is the session with the most to learn from. #collaborativepd@JenWilliamsEdu@spirrison
