A2: Yes, I have. Technology in the classroom. I am always worried something will go wrong with the technology and the whole lesson will be shot.... #edumatch
RT edu_match: Q4. For something to succeed, you often need to be willing to #TakeaRisk. When you plan a lesson, how do you take this into account? #EduMatch
Q2
I think this is all of us even if we don't admit it. I took on something brand new in the fall - actually multiple things not knowing how they'd work out, but grateful for taking the risks. It's work but worth it! Being part of a book & leadership role.

A3. Yes, I could go run in college but it makes me nervous bc I will have to travel so far away from home and don't know much about their training program yet. #EduMatch#gcitech2360
Q3
Things in edu shift, so being prepared & knowing our why is helpful when change happens. Sometimes it forces us to take the risk. I think fear of failure can rob us of so many opportunities, and I don't want to live like that. #edumatch#takearisk
A5: I always take a risk when I teach. My lessons are innovative as well as focused on student learning from creating a dystopian environment to connecting to life #TakeARisk#EduMatch
A4. One risk may include trying a new type of lesson or new technology within the class. However, it's important to remain flexible and make sure student learning is still taking place. #EduMatch#gcitec2360

A4
I think of the risk as applying creative ideas for lesson delivery to make it relevant even if I look foolish. I mean acting out ideas, play out characters, reading aloud, being gut level real/honest with students when things don't work out.

A4
I took a risk at a training by allowing it to get messy, meaning letting participants go, grow, and dive into the work. It meant stepping aside, getting out of their way, and letting them DO the work without anymore direction. So that was insightful.
#edumatch#takearisk
A4: I take this into account when I plan my lessons by making sure I have thought out everything, my technology is working, I know how to access the files.... .. I like to have my technology set up ahead of time if at all possible. #edumatch
Wow that is so cool! I hope to do that in the classroom also, my goal is to facilitate learning rather than always being at the head of the classroom. #EduMatch#gcitec2360

Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way at Work - because creativity is its own risk and it's good to practice creativity as part of risk taking.
