Our @BataviaAcademy family - alternative ed school - takes all the kids out for a Thanksgiving dinner each year. They go to a local 'fancy' restaurant.

I love having the students make an clear fillable ornament with pictures/trinkets of things they are into. This morphed from my mom's tradition of buying me at least one Hallmark Christmas ornament for every year that I've been alive. #bfc530
One of our kindergarten classes does a program for their parents about the first Thanksgiving. It’s adorable! I video and make DVDs for the parents for Christmas. #bfc530

Since kids, every year is different. Visit family, stay home, go to friends, invite friends, stay someplace fun (an alpaca farm one year) So I guess just being together with the kids is our tradition. #bfc530

#BFC530 Personally, I say a polite "no thank you" to big #Thanksgiving celebrations and spend time with the people in my life who really matter to me. Quiet holidays are more meaningful to me.
The PTA at my kids' school collects pie donations to provide every staff member with a pie to take home. Extra time in a busy week, but I love baking them for teachers. #bfc530
3 classroom experiences that became traditions in my classes: Socratic seminars, doing Shakespeare (making it fun & not scary), reading poems aloud (making it fun & not scary) #bfc530
I have some due this morning, and I expect about that percentage to be returned. I plan on including those numbers as part of my mean, median, mode, and range activity tomorrow. #bfc530
We did our #Thanksgiving meal where families were invited to eat with their kiddos last week. Some classes do classroom performances and meals. A lot of classes will do read-ins tomorrow. Kids 💖 it! #bfc530
Key Club is Thanksgiving baskets for local families. So thankful to all who donated the fixings. Off to pack up last minute items. Have a great #CelebrateMonday Friends. I'm thankful for you. #bfc530
Family traditions include getting the tree on #BlackFriday. In my old building the admin would bring around winter beverages and accompanying treats on a cart (think Harry Potter). In the classroom I would bring out some of my favorite books. #bfc530
I love ornament traditions. By the time my boys move out they will be able to decorate their own small trees. Some years we make ornaments and give them as gifts. #bfc530
Morning, #bfc530. In class, starting each period w/10+ minutes to read now feels like a cherished tradition. For school, springtime tunnel formed by K-11 students through which seniors walk on way to graduation practice fits this bill.
