A2: I moved to a more open and flexible scheduling approach in the media center which allowed me to increase collaboration with teachers and accomplish a lot more with them and their students. It was very gratifying to see all that we accomplished! #FCSVanguard
A2: I feel like I was in a good groove this year. 3rd year at my school, established myself within that community with colleagues and students. Obviously school life gets crazy and hectic, but it was good crazy and hectic. #fcsvanguard

A3: I wanted to increase collaboration between teachers and the media center to better support their work in the classroom particularly with PBL. I and very pleased with the progress we made and the collaborative work I did with each grade. #FCSVanguard

My goal is to be done by the end of June...spent sometime each day reviewing each day. I did all the work last summer to get level one and didn’t take the test... just need to dive in! #fcsvanguard

A3: My goal was to help teachers implement pictoral representations to help bridge the concrete to abstract representations for solving complex word problems. I did it with lots of help from @EngageNY and @gregtangmath resources #fcsvangaurd

A4: Probably first on my mind when thinking of next year is an exciting initiative in our a media center: A Novel Engineering Room—think Maker Space connected with Literature. #FCSVanguard

This year I wanted to develop a tool box for teachers that they could draw from to use in the classroom and also to make their work more efficient. Also to introduce as many tools for collecting formative data. #fcsvanguard
A3: My goal this year was to provide support to my colleagues with personalize learning and showing how it aligns to all the great things we are doing and how to enhance our practices and making learning more engaging and meaningful for S’s . #fcsvanguard

Next year I want to support teachers in using Skype to extend the borders of the classroom. By the end of the year, every teacher will have utilized this tool. #fcsvanguard

A5: I offered lighting labs after school this year (30 min of PD), followed by in class support. It worked well, so will try to build on that next year to introduce new tools/strategies #fcsvanguard

A5: Host PDs for Google Classroom, train McNair Literacy & Math Coach how to use Google, GAFE & Google Classroom! Host a PD at the Cumberland Mall Apple Store for Apple Classroom Training. #FcsVanguard
A4: Have over 50% of McNair teachers using Google Classroom & GAFE! Have over 70% of teachers using Apple Classroom to monitor iPad usage within the classroom.
We live in a racialized society. Our country was built on the social construction of race. If we have any hope for our students we'd prepare them w/ the skills to navigate this system inn hopes of breaking it #fcsvanguard
We did a complete unit on the Social Construction and Early History of Race. With that, every class novel, unit we studied we always made connections. Then, they started doing it on their own w/ current events #fcsvanguard
A6: Looking forward to my husband and I having family time with our son who is home from college. Morning walks with a dear friend. Afternoons curled up with a book or knitting. #FCSVanguard
#fcsvanguard enjoying time with my family on a few road trips. Work in getting fitter. Organizing my house...getting things done that I can’t get done during the school year.
I just want to spend some time remembering how fun I used to be, lol! Maybe read a non-educational book, catch up on the things I used to love to do...things I need to remember I used to do🤦🏾♀️#FcsVanguard
A6: My summer goal for #selfcare is to wake up 45 minutes before my son and WRITE. I have been doing this sporadically throughout the year, but I want to take the summer to make it a habit. #FcsVanguard
A5: I am holding myself accountable for hitting more of the ISTE standards this year. I love my curriculum but will do a lot of "deep diving" to make sure it is as purposeful as possible! #FcsVanguard
