A4: remembering that there is more than coming into work. When I hit “turbulence” I remove myself from what’s causing it and focus on smooth sailing. Then once I regroup I figure out how to fix the “turbulence “. #122edchat
Q4: In pursuit of reaching our goals, we sometimes encounter "turbulence” (Like this poor passenger trying to touch up her makeup) What are some strategies that you use to overcome "turbulence" in your classroom or professional life? #122edchat
A5: Making sure to share on Twitter is key. I can get pretty wrapped up in a lesson that I forget to make a post. But sharing our successes will help us get ideas & celebrate "wins" even if it's a simple retweet or like. I love seeing what's going on in classrooms! #122edchat
A5: #122edchat You can never celebrate the accomplishments of your staff and students enough. Sometimes we get caught up in the negative and forget to focus on the positive. Schedule time for student and staff reflection and celebration
A5: Being vocal and calling out the good that you see happening in school and classrooms that you visit. I immediately run to Twitter. There are too many amazing things that happen on a daily basis that still go unreported/unnoticed. #122edchat
A3 I have a fab group of friends who also happen to be my #PLC at school and I also have a super groovy cool #PLN on twitter who want to ‘talk shop’’ as much as I do. #122edchat

A4: surrounding myself with family and friends, plus ensuring I'm keeping up with my physical activity. (PS, running on treadmill and trying to keep up with #122edchat is not easy!!!)

A5: We started progress reports during staff meetings to give folks a chance to share a small win! Had about 10 folks share and the feeling in the room was great!
#122edchat
A5 Celebrating achievements doesn’t often come naturally in my teaching network. I think reaching out and choosing to recognize a team member for something positive is a great start and can go a long way. #122edchat
A5: Not down playing the small successes essential! Also, encouraging each other to share, and then being genuinely excited for that person. Maybe even brag about what they did at your next faculty meeting! #122edchat
#122edchat A5. Be there IMMEDIATELY for the ones who struggle & be sure to celebrate each and every step they take. The ones that alway DO don’t always need the pat on the back. It’s the ts that need help to be brave that need the support and encouragement #122edchat
Thanks for the great chat #122edchat Great job @MrWawczak & @Flood1Tracy What a great 30 minutes! 2 chats done tonight and I am pumped! Have a great rest of the week everyone!

A5: I took 19 credits last semester and obtained a 4.0. I also obtained two scholarships and hosted my first pre-service Twitter chat. Twitter has honestly impacted my life, and I am planning on hosting 2 more chats in May. #122edchat
A5: Also, we have 2 staff shout out boards that encourage celebrating one another, and is a great way to boost morale and show appreciation for one another :) #122edchat
Sad that we always make time to discuss problems, but not always celebrations. Also kinda sad we don't want to toot our own horns, when we really should. I've seen the same with kids as they get older. #122edchat
A4: see the large picture and try to put myself in the students’ shoes. Also relying on @misskoplin@MrPStrunk and others to reflect on my day and talk through difficult situations #122edchat

Q5. I celebrate how others need to be celebrated. Some like high-fives, others like notes, some like parties, some just private conversations. It depends more on the who than the what! #122edchat
I can't participate in #scitlap#122edchat or #fearlessedchat tonight but man if there was ever a time for some @_on11 positivity and optimism it's tonight my man.
A5: As a (relatively) new teacher, each baby step is a success (and hopefully the next success will contain a contract!) Share your successes. Bask in your own glory for a moment. Be proud of yourself! You may inspire someone else! #122edchat
@JamesHeniff checking in. How could I have almost missed out on one of my favorites.
A1: My biggest educational challenge is FEAR. No, not of making a bad commanding decision like in the movie, but fear of trying something big and it doesn't go the way I thought. #122edchat
@JoyKirr, I saw you earlier in a cameo appearance on @mrmatera 's Youtube video about @EdcampUSA ! Was a great little "Easter Egg" in the video! #122edchat

A4 I usually create my own turbulence & sometimes I need to make myself cool out. My huz ‘gets me’ & is always willing to let me bitch & moan until I'm ready to problem solve. He ‘grounds me’ in a good way so I can return to work & be the teacher students need me to be #122edchat
A5. Celebrations are the best part! I try to celebrate all of the same and big things. I really try to acknowledge all of my teachers accomplishments bc they deserve the recognition! Being celebrated only makes you work harder for your next goal #122edchat

A1 My biggest challenge will be keeping an open heart and mind in the face of enormous program changes that do not make sense to me. But, I have students who need my very best, every day, so that is my goal #122edchat#tlap#EduMatch#DitchBook
Hah! Yes - @mrmatera heads down here and I head up to Wisconsin for EdCamps... We're EdCamp junkies! #edcampmadwi on Jan 20th is next! ;D Oh, and I have one of those cool #122edchat stickers, courtesy of @megan_hacholski!!

A5 Realize it's okay to toot one’s own horn from time to time w/o bragging of course. I love seeing successful teachers & students, sharing of lessons & ideas. I want to know what they did so I can try it too! Thanking others for their help & sharing is so important! #122edchat
A1: I wish I would have given my students more choice. Delving into deeper learning, project based learning, and the innovation of education has shown me that students should have more choice, the ability and the freedom to choose what is presented. #fearlessedchat
A5 I have started telling coworkers #youmatter and telling them about the successes I see in them. I make a point of checking on my team and asking and going a bit overboard in my congrats ... if I don't, who will? #122edchat#tlap#EduMatch#DitchBook
