Conferences ... i know when I have a parent variety after school those are not necessarily fun ...wait... i don't think that is what you meant #FLedchat
A1: If you want to expand the world beyond your classroom or school or district, and build your PLN with some people FACE to FACE, then get there! #FLEdChat
A1: Meet others who are in your same role, find information and resources that would normally take you much more time to curate, get inspired #FLedChat
A1 depends on the conference. Some are great opportunities to network, which I find more valuable than sessions. I also negotiate a lot of business at these shows. #FLedChat
If I have to choose between school sending me to a conference or other PD vs something tangible for the kids I would choose something for the kids. #fledchat
A2: I find the most value in the Concurrent Sessions or Workshops, and the Poster Sessions or Playgrounds. Not as much at the Expo....sorry vendors. #FLedChat
A2: As a teacher, it was the concurrent sessions. As an admin, it's the meetings with vendors in conference rooms that's provided the most value to me. Let's us have focused conversations without being in the office with all those distractions. #FLEdChat
I find the expo hall to be the best ... good ideas. Sessions are good as long it has not been a chat topic on twitter within the previous couple of months #fledchat

A3: While I love to present, I now really like just being there and taking it all in. I find better opportunities for impromptu discussions with my PLN and partners around the state. #FLEdChat

A2: I’m a big fan of concurrent sessions. They’re the perfect amount of new learning time. Info is usually immediately applicable. Keynotes are sometimes too big picture for me (I like details about how to get there). Exhibit hall is always 🔥 🙌 #FLedChat
A3: Depends on the show. Mostly presenting. I want to teach as many technologists as possible how to reduce friction for teachers and students. That’s what most of our work is focused on. And there are not a lot of sessions on that. #FLEdChat

I feel if presenting is to have any value the Attendee/Presenter dynamic has to be blurred/adjusted. I like the idea of “Facillitator”. What’s good for the kids in a class is good for adults at conferences...collaborative thought, reflective behaviors...etc. thoughts? #FLedChat

I've got that as well. I also like that PreCheck works for other adults your fly with, if you buy the tickets at the same time. One adult per adult with PreCheck is my experience #FLedchat
My iMac is a '13 and I've come ti find out I can't upgrade the memory. It keeps getting slower and slower. I will have to upgrade soon. iMac or Air and huge dual monitor. #fledChat sorry for the hijack @dkonopelko

A5: I like stickers, only so many pens I can use and they often don't work. Not a fan of most swag, but I have mugs, lanyards, etc that I like and use and don't want more #fledchat
A6: I prepare a post-conference report to help focus the work that was completed while I was there more than anything else. I also share it if requested. I like to do a debrief with a group instead of solo- it helps to work towards USING the info. #FLEdChat
A6: I take 📝 on all sessions on a Google Doc so I read my notes and make connections to our work and make time to learn more about the topic/idea if I’m not super familiar. I also share with others as a way to reflect and apply to our work. #FLedchat
