Hello! I am Suzanne from Orillia, Ontario and I am a Masters student from Lakehead University. I am excited for tonights #edtechchat, looking forward to hearing everyones thoughts on Summer PD!
Welcome to #edtechchat! Please introduce yourself and share from where you’re joining us! We’re excited to welcome @Rdene915 as tonight’s moderator to discuss Summer PD!
4th & 5th grade school teacher & Dean of Professional Growth in Portland, Maine saying hello. My favorite ice cream is...wait you didn't ask that. #edtechchat#LearnLAP
Absolutely! Almost done with testing in the district and am moving into getting ready for summer projects. So many nice things end of year, ceremonies, graduations, etc. #edtechchat
A1 so excited to have time to spend with family and friends and also to have time to attend #edtech conferences and connect with #PLN and learn #edtechchat
A1 I look forward to letting my ideas percolate. The school yr is fast paced and reactionary. The summer allows me time to reflect and wonder. I also look forward to "free" reading. #EdTechChat
#edtechchat - I'm not going to lie and say "I like time to do PD and be a better teacher." I totes just want to relax, travel, and spend time with my kids!
A1: Every teacher is gathering invaluable data on their practice throughout the school year. It can be extremely difficult to make major classroom adjustments during the school year. The summer is the perfect time for teachers to make changes to their learning model #EdTechChat
A1 Long weekends. Vacations are nice too, but having Friday off is super nice - just enough time to get things done with family but not so much I feel stuck with my own kids. ;) Work is my summer camp. #edtechchat
#edtechchat A1- I'm not going to lie and say "I like time to do PD and be a better teacher." I totes just want to relax, travel, and spend time with my kids!
A1: Personally, this summer I'm looking forward to some down time, just some me time after a year and a half of working on my masters. I'm looking forward to reading a book that is not a textbook. #edtechchat
A1: For me summers are a little different...I work at a daycare as the school age teacher so July and August are the only time I have my kids full time! I am so excited for the summer and going on all of the field trips we have planned! #edtechchat
We are talking summer aren't we? I do not need much of an excuse. I see a snow flake, even if it is cut out of paper, I think hot cocoa. Flip flops, ice cream. #edtechchat
A1: Recharging my battery for the start of a new school year; that is done by reading for PD & pleasure, reflecting & setting goals for the new year...also getting some rest #edtechchat
A1: Professional, I look forward to working on technology certifications this summer. Personally, I can’t wait to explore our city with my two year old niece! #edtechchat
#edtechchat A1. Time with my daughter.we have planned to go places... travelling to different destinations.. srilanka , Leh Ladakh, and Mumbai in india.hope these materialize.
I have been asked that question a lot! :) Going with another couple, my son studied in Italy for the last 6 months, their daughter studied in Glasgow, So we had built in guides! #edtechchat
Hoping to develop a habit of listening to podcasts. Now that my children are a little bit older I might have a few moments of quiet to listen. Any suggestions? #LearnLAP#edtechchat
I started in special education and my wife still is, so I also always worked summers. Now as an administrator I'm 12 month, but summer days are very different when there are no Ss or Ts around! #edtechchat
A2 I rely on the use of tools like Twitter and Voxer to connect and learn, make time to read a lot, stay up to date as much as I can by reading and learning from PLN #edtechchat
A2 all about priorities; I don't watch tv or listen to the radio much (150m commute time)-I read, listen to audiobooks & podcasts, and VOX life I'm getting paid to do it #edtechchat
A2: I look outside the bounds of DPD to find what is relevant to my passions, areas where improvement is needed, or just refreshers. So much great content avail online #edtechchat
A2 I am fortunate that our district allows lots of different types of PD for inservice credit. These twitter chats, small webinars and online sessions are perfect for me. #edtechchat
A2. I use Google Calendar to keep track of interesting Twitter chats.
A book club gives me accountability to read during the school year--but we meet only twice a semester to keep things manageable. #EdTechChat
The time to do things on my schedule (mostly). There are some home projects the need to get done. I’ll be able to read a few PD books I have been trying to read. And a family vacation. #Edtechchat
A2. I prioritize my professional development so I make time. It is typically in the evenings or on weekends. It also helps going to conferences where there is dedicated time for PD. #edtechchat
A2- Give me all the @voxer ! I can listen while I drive, cook, etc. and get amazing ideas from others. I'm also a fan of a "bring a book in my purse" club. You never know when you will have some down time. There are some awesome podcasts out there now too! #edtechchat
A2: I try to schedule things into my calendar to dedicate to reading relevant books, or connecting with others who will extend my learning, if it’s in the calendar I am more self accountable #edtechchat
A2 Ask for it. Seems silly, but was reflecting and I think many districts are more willing to support PD opportunities for their staff than their staff are willing to request. You can't fail if you don't try. Plus, #edcampnj and my online PLN help! #edtechchat
During my practicum, my associate teacher was offered opportunities to attend PD workshops during the school day, and she would find a supply to cover her class. #edtechchat
#edtechchat A2-You need to make it a priority. Whether it is going to a conference on a weekend or reading a book that will improve your practice, you need to find the time. Finding like minded people to talk to is important as well.
A2) Audio books during my morning commute (20 to and 20 home = 40 minutes!!!) I'm an English teacher, so I read ALL day. My ride in the car is my personal treat...someone reads TO me...lol! AND @CoachJonCraig keeps me in the loop of what all the cool kids are doing! #edtechchat
A2) My district is very supportive of me and my STEM team since we are still developing our program (just finishing year 3 and still expanding). I take time to attend conferences & I block PD reading time during the week. #edtechchat
A2: During the school year I have my kids before/after school, during the day we have planning time which helps with staying organized. As for professional development, I am in school doing my Masters currently, but I feel like the teacher aspect has taken a back seat #edtechchat
A2 contd: Michigan offers all educators and the like access to free online at your own pace PD via https://t.co/vjAZsm7KXV where you can even earn hours towards cert renewal #edtechchat#miched
A2: Teachers will never feel like they have enough time during the school because there is always more to be done. We have to build a formal time and place throughout each week for both reflection and professional growth. Otherwise it will always take a back seat. #EdTechChat
A2. PD can be Twitter, articles, etc. Talking to teachers - seeing what they're doing is a great way to learn too. My favorite was going to @EdCampAtlanta#edtechchat
Efficient use of time. I gain more prep by doing feedback more efficiently using audio and rubrics and verbally, I freed up prep time to plan and develop more so when the kid goes to sleep at night, I can do a little pd. #Edtechchat
Thanks so much @s_bearden hope all is well. It’s been awhile since I’ve been here. Always love joining in the #edtechchat when time permits. Great #PLN opportunity
A2 Great twitter chats such as #edtechchat help unearth great ideas worth exploring. Blogs, colleagues & PLC group, and my terrific Maine based #PLN bring my professional growth to the next level. #EduWin#CollaborativePD
A2: Listening to podcasts in the car, reading at night, book studies with groups after school & through voxer, while waiting for kids or dr appt, tweeting in between appts...sneaky PD can be squeezed in anywhere #edtechchat#4OCFpln
A2: During the year, I really have to plan my day. I have to make sure I fit everything in to also get some PD time in. I do 2-hour workshops after school or surf the net and read if I'm not taking a course already. #edtechchat
Hey everyone! Louie jumping in from Lancaster, PA! Just got home from a beautiful walk! MIddle School SS Teacher getting ready to move to Philly next year as a 5th Grade Teacher. #edtechchat#4ocfpln
Chating with colleagues at lunch really helps, I have such engaged co-workers. I also try and work my way through at least one online course or book a quarter. #edtechchat
i think @RACzyz said it, if you can't find 15m a day to get some learning in you are doing it wrong...or something like that, he's a smart dude #edtechchat
I have been very impressed with the support our adm provides for our professional growth and you are so right. Ask! If they say no they at least know the direction you are headed and my be able to find support in other ways. #edtechchat
A2: During the school year I fit-in a lot of PD through Twitter chats, watching TED Talks and I might be able to read an article during lunch! #edtechchat
A2: Listening to podcasts in the car, reading at night, book studies with groups after school & through voxer, while waiting for kids or dr appt, tweeting in between appts...sneaky PD can be squeezed in anywhere #edtechchat#4OCFpln
A2: How do PD? Let me count the ways:
⭐️Twitter
⭐️Professional reading.. *cough* #DBCBooks
⭐️Voxer book studies or #PLN Voxer groups - #4OCFpln
⭐️Blogging
⭐️Conferences
#edtechchat
A2: I have read quite a bit this year. Important to keep the brain gears turning. Participating in twitter chats and @voxer chats has been great too #edtechchat
A2 I stick to a schedule, I always squeeze in a little me time, but I have certain time slots for PD: before school, during prep/lunch time, listening to podcasts in the car, Twitter chats in the evening, reading before bed, Sat. AM Sun. PM #justlikecollege#edtechchat
Absolutely! Good admins want to foster growth in the professionals with whom they work. If you get a no, it's often from on higher up or for reasons unrelated to the desire for you to grow (read: $). #edtechchat
I find TED Talks are also a great way to continue learning new information from the comfort of your home. There are so many great speakers and ideas to drive right into! #edtechchat
I am just starting on them. @mlarson_nj always recommends the best stuff! Google Teacher Tribe, Ditch BookLeader of Learning, 10 Minute Teacher, Cult of Pedagogy #edtechchat
#edtechchat A2. I stretch my day ,wake up early and sleep a little later ...as my @twitter chats are all in different times zones .but there's souch to gain and share, I don't mind the little disruption.
A2. When I saw the idea of the "Lounge Library" one school has for its educators' professional learning a light bulb moment caused me to think about combining #FAR with this idea. https://t.co/MYHM8trVKm#edtechchat
Does getting a corporate certification e.g. Google Certified, Apple Distinguished, Microsoft Innovative Educator... Also make someone a better teacher? I.e. are they more pedagogically sound? Sure, it depends, but if you could only answer Yes or No. #edtech#edchat#edtechchat
A2 I try to do 1 PD activity each week. Twitter chats, read a chapter, listen to a webinar, host a PD-ish conversation, attend a conference. Keeps things from feeling stale #edtechchat
the wealth of knowledge available on Twitter is bonkers. I’m just now finally feeling comfortable managing it into buckets. That’s where the hash tags come in handy #edtechchat
A2: Podcasts make PD easy on my commute. Twitter chats are easy to fit in when I can. Conferences are my favorite and I can usually make time since they aren’t too often. #edtechchat
As we develop our PLC themes for the new year it is incredibly helpful to know everyone's goals. We gather most from professional reflections but PD requests and conversations help too. #edtechchat#collaborativePD
A3 So hard to pick one, I would say any opportunity to be with my #PLN and learn together, meet F2F officially, the info I learn from connecting through Twitter and Voxer #edtechchat
Edcamp, hands down. The personalized nature of the presentations and the ability to present without submitting a proposal was great. It’s human interaction and the ideas flow freely and it’s informal. #Edtechchat
A3 #edtechchat NEH Summer Scholar Programs Did one at Delta State a few years ago on the the most southern place on earth. This summer I will do one on the power of place in the appalachians in july
A3: Wow how to choose a "best one"... there are so many. I have experienced a child in my class who was nonverbal low functioning autism (amazing experience) and all of the behavioural issues I have dealt with have made me grow as a teacher! #edtechchat
A3 connecting on @voxer is hands down the best. you get connecting with so many people of varying interests & resources--they have the books, podcasts, conferences, connections, ideas, etc. #edtechchat
#edtechchat A3- The Blended and Personalized Learning Conference from @HighlanderInst in Providence,RI has completely changed my practice the last two years. Check out my experience this year. https://t.co/mYqqeC8EQ0
I sat in on an Indigenous sharing circle filled with a wide variety of different educators. The stories and life experiences that were shared was remarkable. I love learning from others. #edtechchat
A3 Gosh, that's a hard one! Anything that gives me the choice of sessions to attend so I can tailor my learning to what I need. Also, anything that lets me learn on my own time, like podcasts, Voxer, @dbc_inc books, etc #edtechchat
A3. My best learning tends to come from shared experiences.
Going to a conference and having Q&As with other professionals, discussing books with other counselors and teachers, collaborating with other #GoogleCE etc. #EdTechChat
A3) Attending the KTI Summit last summer BLEW MY MIND! I had no idea this world of like-minded teaching obsessed nerds (like the cool kind of nerds that win Homecoming king/queen) existed! I've learned and grown SOO much! #edtechchat
A3: It's a tie between #edcampli and @voxer chats. Both allow for collaboration and sharing of ideas. Both leave me feeling joyful and hopeful #edtechchat
A3) My best learning experience was completing the STEM Certificate program through @TuftsCEEO. It included hands-on engineering, classroom/student video record & reflect, & peer discourse. #edtechchat
A3 My best learning experiences were the classes I took with Dr. John Olivo at Bloomsburg U. He showed up every class full of joy and enthusiasm and set a great example of what a classroom teachers should be.
#edtechchat
Book studies through Voxer! I started with a study on 4 O'Clock Faculty, and am now in groups reading Shift This and Mathematical Mindsets. #edtechchat
In reply to
@gwsorrells, @bedesemsclass, @voxer, @mlarson_nj
A3: I'm blessed to work with Ts across 2 states. When I 1st started this new position, I thought I needed to know everything but I learned its best to know everything about my Ts & Ss- ask questions, be curious, it's okay to learn together & make mistakes! #edtechchat
A3: Being part of a district mentoring program to get @GoogleForEdu certified with @sarahkyriazis & @CESCasey with an awesome team of colleagues. Hands-on, practical, professional... #edtechchat
A3: One of the learning experiences for me this year is the introduction of Microsoft Teams and the way it can help function as a conduit for collaboration for my department and other stakeholder groups #edtechchat
A3: I am still in the middle of it, but the CETL certification from @CoSN This has really opened my eyes to some new things. #edtechchat I highly recommend it for any teacher, tech coach, or administrator!
We strongly encourage our edus to sit in on other's classes. We do not help our students if we always isolate ourselves. By seeing others in action we invite conversation and unearth learning opportunities for ourselves. #edtechchat
Any skills a teacher adds to their toolbelt makes them a more competent teacher. Like a pitcher adding a slider to their mix. Doesn’t
Help them connect with students personally. You either make the effort or you don’t. Ya? #edtechchat
A3) My other favorite PD experience was a week with the @USPTO#NSTI program. We had a packed agenda with hands-on making sessions and amazing speakers and activities along w/pitch night! @Borinkito#edtechchat
A3 “The Art of Coaching” @artofcoaching1 by Elena Aguilar was my turning point. It totally changed the way I worked with teachers to infuse digital learning #edtechchat
Twitter and @voxer chats are the best. Real time commentary, and oftentimes book authors join the chats. It was impossible several years ago to have that kind of access. #edtechchat
It’s been a great addition to our workflow. Perfect parking lot for conversations that can be dealt with outside a meeting so that F2F meetings can be more productive #edtechchat
A3: I'm not sure if it's the best but I am really loving Twitter Chat. I was anti-Twitter for a while, because as someone mentioned earlier it was about Ashton Kutcher's breakfast and I hated it and now it has opened a whole new dimension and learning experience #edtechchat
Every yr we're expected to write a reflection to our adm about the past yr & state a number of goals we're working towards. These goals help us identify Families which act as PLCs. The Families lean into one another, support each other, and help each other grow. #edtechchat
A3: Conferences like @fetc@iste can be a bit like drinking water from a firehose, but the energy is so intense & infectious! I love the ppl, & the more hands-on the session, the better! #EdTechChat
A3 my best learning happens when I'm creating some kind of PD content. Helps me work through the learning and commit to implementing new ideas. Blogging is probly easiest, but hosting/moderating PD, having conversations, etc are all good! #edtechchat
A3 A few years ago I was able to think more critically about design thinking with the help of @adamburk@WickedDecent and @ElaBenUr. Since then I have been working to apply the habits of mind to lesson development AND student experience. #dtk12chat#edtechchat
My best learning experience might have been on the job or the learning that took place with members of my colleagues during my dissertation journey. #edtechchat
(It's happened more than once.) But I remember that one where teaching using Google to create self-grading quizzes a few yrs ago and all of the stuff moved from when I practiced to doing. Sigh. #edtechchat
His views on the power of social media, infusing technology, and just the challenge of reflection. "Why are you doing what you're doing?" & the 3 R's - Relationships, Relationships, Relationships #edtechchat
A3: My best learning experience was at a @Seesaw social our district organized. I met @bullockteach3 from another campus in our district. She & I collaborated on ways our classes use @Seesaw and brought our classes together 2 learn from each other using @Flipgrid#edtechchat
A3 I never was a Twitter fan but have grown my #PLN into this strong circle of experts and colleagues by embracing the oppotunities @Twitter offers as a PD format. I also LOVE #edcamps as well! Meeting others on a Saturday for PD is powerful! #edtechchat
A4 I want to get back in the gym (haven't been since before my twins were born--they're 5mos); lots of vitamin D, reading is a recharger for me #edtechchat and I only read professional books--weird? @EMercedLearning knows what I mean
It was an intentional choice on our part. Family members are always there for one another, through thick & thin, good & bad. They're also able to give you the critical feedback you need in order to grow. Critical conversation is central to our model. #edtechchat#collaborativePD
In reply to
@PCookTech, @magistrareardon, @RichHayzler
A4 By attending and presenting at conferences :) Seriously, spending time with my PLN and learning, having time to read and reflect, definitely recharges me #edtechchat
Today I lifted an unused old 3D printer for a Year 5-ELC collaborative project. I feel like a technological Robin Hood. Can you tell what the students will be designing? #3Dprinting#edtechchat#STEM
One day when we really begin taking over the world we will sit on Ellen's couch (you know since Oprah retired and all) and explain how it all started with a little book study. #edtechchat
A4) I recharge when I'm playing w/my kiddos, out in nature, and anywhere near a lake, river, or ocean. Something about water just soothes the soul. #edtechchat
A4 Going down the shore for two weeks with the family. Family vacations w 3 small kids aren't exactly relaxing, but they aren't being at work either. Will enjoy my time working without being distracted every 5 minutes too... #techdir#edtechchat
A4 We drive everywhere for vacation, so I'll have a lot of time to chill and relax...and catch up on my reading! We'll be by the pool a lot too! #edtechchat
A4: my summer is pretty busy but we are heading to Hawaii for almost 3 weeks. If that doesn’t recharge my batteries I’m in trouble! @iwearthecrowns@mikewatanabe#edtechchat
A4: I feel that it is important to connect with yourself and do activities that make you happy. As teachers, we are always putting our students first, and the summertime is a great opportunity to take the much needed and deserved time for ourselves. #edtechchat
A4: I plan on taking breaks with my students during the summer! Also continuing these Twitter chats! They are new to me but are an amazing way of connecting teachers and ideas! I am going to recharge by spending time with my kids and still having time for PD #edtechchat
#edtechchat A4. Change is the constant for my life ...every year I do something new , this year too planning of some courses on @MicrosoftEDU and deepening my subject understanding. Looking for newer things to do ...the search is on
Getting some projects done, revamping some curriculum delivery, sleeping a full 8 hrs, hopefully consecutively, go on a vacation. Not think about work for a solid 2 weeks. #Edtechchat
not sure it makes them a better teacher...more knowledgeable? yes. but they have to use that knowledge to further their Ss towards their goals #edtechchat
A4- This summer I am taking some classes and working, but while I am off on the weekends I hope to be able to spend time out at the lake or with family to help recharge for next semester! #edtc300#edtechchat
A4 My summer action plan:
Taking family trips to the lake, reading a great non work related book, slowing down, playing, mastering the many variations of smores, and letting my mind wander to consider new possibilities for teaching and learning. #edtechchat
A3: One of my best learning experiences has been as a literacy and numeracy coach working alongside outstanding Ts. The power of co-learning is incredible!#edtechchat
I'm thinking I'm going to have to find some research on this to convince me bc I've been working like a psychopath for 15 yrs and haven't disconnected for more than a few days at a time. #edtechchat
A4: I am going to go camping, have lots of bonfires, and eat a lot of icecream! I plan on spending a lot of time with family and friends! Also I am going to spend my nights rollerblading :) #edtechchat
A4: I hope to recharge this summer, in part, with some creative play! Making videos, learning new film and editing techniques, and having fun! That and home renovations, haha! #edtechchat
A4: My one time to really disconnect is during the school year. I take a week and head up to the Boundary Waters for some ice fishing. No phones, no internet, no connection at all! #edtechchat
#LearnLAP A5.#edtechchat Change is the constant for my life ...every year I do something new , this year too planning of some courses on @MicrosoftEDU and deepening my subject understanding. Looking for newer things to do ...the search is on
Yay for long walks. Hope to walk a lot with @iwearthecrowns this summer. Great for exercise and actually connecting without being “connected” #edtechchat
In reply to
@MahramusAlyssa, @DoggieSteve, @iwearthecrowns
A4: Family and vacation are important, but I also can't forget that I want to model lifelong learning. Here are a few of my ideas. https://t.co/isKAxM0Ndk#edtechchat
Yes I saw some of it and tried to periscope in as available. This year I'm presenting a hands-on robotics workshop on Monday. Super excited. #edtechchat
A2: I make time. I rarely use time as an excuse for anything. Twitter chats have been a game changer for me!! It gives me an extra kick in my step every morning! #edtechchat
The older I get the more Ed, leadership, etc. books I read. Fiction is like candy. Now that I'm older I prefer kale to ice cream most of the time. #edtechchat
A5 I would LOVE to... I should take my own advice and ask. I don't know how traveling PD works for my district out of state. Would be so awesome to go to ISTE! #edtechchat
A5: I do not travel for PD at all since I am not a full time teacher yet, although I do go to a conference for daycares. I am super curious to hear others plans and ideas! I love these Twitter chats because I am gathering so many useful resources and amazing PD ideas! #edtechchat
A2: Access to knowledge to support the learning process is essential. Ss need to have the opportunity to learn and explore. #EdTech provides students with access. #edtechchat
A5) Last year I was able to go to Denver, CO for PD. This year #ISTE is in Chicago so just an hour (or so) commute. I'm also attending/presenting at @ThatConference in Wis Dells. #edtechchat
A5) I'll be making my way back to Shippensburg for #ktisummit where I'll be working as a Lead Learner. Would love to hit ISTE in Chicago, but can't break away from the fam for a trip like that!
#edtechchat
A5 Not too many summer edu trips but I would love to revisit @GouldFieldGuide again. What a tremendous experience, in a wonderful location, with amazing people. #edtechchat#dtk12chat
A5: I’ll be presenting a few times this summer and I really enjoy the balance of my classroom with opportunities to work with amazing Ts all over the country in the summer. Jonesing for ISTE but don’t think it will happen this year...sigh! #edtechchat
A5: I don't travel to far. I am luck that #ISTE18 is close to home. I am luck that there is enought local PD in Illinois that I don't need to go to far. #edtechchat
A5-With a little one at home I have to be choosy with my time. She will only be little once and there are so many great PD books. I was once told that you can go anywhere when you take a look, in a book #readingrainbow#edtechchat
But it is! As exhausting as my schedule has been with teaching and speaking and taking my course, there is something very invigorating about sharing a message and learning lots! #edtechchat
In reply to

A5: usually I stay in homestate of MI. Last year, a T took me to Milwaukee @USMSpark This year, I’m going back!
Then, since ISTE18 is in nearby Chicago, curiosity and grant money is getting me there #edtechchat
I would love to go to Chicago for ISTE, but I am already traveling to Chicago for another trip and I don't think I can get away with that twice in one summer! #Edtechchat

I love social media for it means learning can happen anywhere at any time... #edtechchat for me has happened in the #RVlife quite well! #learninganywhere
Was going to keep it quiet but I do get to take the kids to the All-Star game in DC this summer. That is it for us beyond camping local #edtechchat (https://t.co/HGXmTt7JEl)
A6 I'm going to get better at VR/AR implementation. Even if I have to do my own PD, I need to figure out how to implement and support my teachers who want to implement VR in their classrooms. It's too hard right now. #VR#edtech#edtechchat
A6 I'm hoping to make some connections at #ISTE18 this year, and present a little session too! I hope to grow in my presentation skills to people outside of my schools/district. #edtechchat
We ran into that problem last year, w/ two in TX & too much time in between, so had to give up ISTE..but @technologyWIN presented at iPadpalooza! #Edtechchat

A6: I am hoping to grow in the area of emergent and inquiry based learning. I am hoping to expand my knowledge and experiences with my kids this summer! I did a fish story board last month and am hoping to let the kids run full steam with more inquiry story boards! #edtechchat
A6 I would like to take the time to better integrate a cross curricular approach using PBL married with a design thinking mindset. I also want to keep building our flipped lessons for word study. #edtechchat
A6: Most of my learning this summer is going to be on Data Privacy. I want to be able to better explain the laws to our teaching staff, to ensure we are treating privacy correctly. #edtechchat#Ineedalawyeronretainer
#edtechchat A6- I would like to learn more about individualized learning plans and do more goal setting with my Ss. I want to continue writing about my practice for my blog and my @eschoolnews column. I also applied to a few fellowships-still waiting to hear back though.
A6. Wondering ... how to enable those whose amazing summer schedules don't allow them to be present for #BookCampPD 's summer Saturday chats but want to exchange ideas when their schedules allow about a book they are reading .... suggestions anyone?? Post to website? #edtechchat
#edtechchat A6 .I did some instructional leadership and design courses last academic year , want to see the practical side of that. I want to be able to effectively coach now ....still looking for opportunities and refinement of my skills
A lot of third party apps being rate limited sinced paid API announced. Luckily no problem publishing to Twitter from my own domain still. You should try it. #edtechchat (https://t.co/NlySgrsyXq)
A6 I want to check out new resources for my spring multivariate stats class. I’m sure there’s a ton of stuff on the Internet for better examples and additional explanations/ videos for struggling students #edtechchat
A5 I am traveling to California for PD in June for #DLPCoaching I travel all year to wherever I feel the best opportunities present themselves. I went as far as Greenville South Carolina for an #edcamp in February! I love connecting with professionals in other regions #edtechchat
A6: well after reading some of your responses, apparently I need to figure out @voxer. Also, I’m working on improving parent involvement, engagement, and communication for next year!!! #edtechchat
A6: This summer I'm going to learn more about social media and technology I can use with my students in the classroom to avoid marking endless paper #savethetrees#edtechchat
A6) I REALLY want to finish writing that book I keep threatening to write! I do have a story to tell and have had some good feedback on a blog I started this fall. Hoping I can prioritize myself and my voice to do so!
#edtechchat
I was just at a #coreadvocates conf where the cautionary note is to make sure providing extra time doesn't mean excluding Ss from high-level learning. #edtechchat
