A1: I have begun holding Ss more accountable. They need to explain their process, summarize what they did, evaluate how it worked, and what they could do better. #tynkerchat
A1. Provide unique instruction through interdisciplinary #PBL, and focus on providing SS with an integrated curriculum that is informed by real-world experiences. #Tynkerchat
A2: As mentioned by @loliveira55 the Four Cs, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Win, win for all subjects and careers. #tynkerchat
I know for me personally, I am creating my own #stem curriculum, if you can call it that. Trying to work in different activities to complement the core math curriculum. Collaborating with other teachers in the school for #stem lessons. #tynkerchat
These kids think outside of the box, they are my best coders, especially @gotynker. They don't create what they think the teacher wants they create what they want. #tynkerchat
A2: Schools will start to see the value of #stem when student achievement improves (namely standardized test score). Even though the 4 C's are valuable for all subject areas, it is hard right now, at least in my district, to advocate for a core #stem program. #tynkerchat
A4. Empower all students from all communities by bringing #CS4all programming courses directly to their schools, and by helping them secure opportunities with software developers, community members, and more! #Tynkerchat
A4 As a language teacher I tell everyone that coding is the language to communicate with our children. My son was amazed when I was able to do some basic coding in Minecraft. A way to connect. #tynkerchat
A4: Sell to your community members. Where do they work? What kind of jobs do they have? Your car is repaired by someone who needs to use a computer, the toll booth collectors replaced by software engineers, cyber-security issues, washer/dryer is run by a computer. #tynkerchat
A3: even small things like the drones at the opening ceremonies of the winter olympics, the pictures NASA is sending back from the far reaches of the galaxy, #tynkerchat
