#BunceeChat Hi! I am Anne, a grade 4 teacher from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. The best part of my day was having my students swarm around me to see the books I had brought from the public library!
A1: To us, #StudentVoice means that students have a say in their education, in expressing what they've learned, in choosing how they learn best, and in sharing their thoughts about school. #BunceeChat
A1 To me, student voice means that I get to have a say in my education. My thoughts and opinions are heard, and I get to learn what is interesting to me.
#BunceeChat#stuvoice
A1: Student voice means that Ss are empowered in the classroom and can decide how to show what they learned, explore areas of passion through their own choices #BunceeChat
A1: #StuVoice means that our students are making decisions on how they learn the best. Their voices are valued and respected, and an integral part of the classroom culture. #BunceeChat
A1 student voice is the one thing an administrator canโt argue with. It tells you if your teaching is effective. It also is how we send Education #BunceeChat
Hi! Sylvaine, here! Thought I brag about my new @Buncee avatar in my introduction card! Glad to join #bunceechat with you tonight! (I am usually much more humble..๐) https://t.co/hhjaaa8wpJ
A1: Student voice means listening to Ss and allowing Ss to share their background knowledge and interests. As a T I know I learn everyday from my Ss...my Ks always offer a fresh perspective in any learning situation. #bunceechat
Hi all! Alyssa an @EVERFI technology implementation coach from Pittsburgh, Pa. Love the theme of this chat and that students are moderating!! #bunceechat
My name is Sydnie Rose! I am in the education program at the University of Central Arkansas! Best part of my day was finally being able to sleep in! Such a busy semester! #BunceeChat
A1: To us, #StudentVoice means that students have a say in their education, in expressing what they've learned, in choosing how they learn best, and in sharing their thoughts about school. #BunceeChat
To me, student voice means that I get to choose how I learn, what I lean, and the speed I learn it. And with the help of technology it means my limits are endless. #bunceechat
A1: Student voice is important because it gives the chance for a student to feel as if they are important in their school community. Their voice shows us how their learning happens. #Bunceechat
A1: To me, #stuvoice means that kids have a say in their learning, that we work with them to make learning relevant to them, and that they have a way to share their thoughts throughout the educational process. #BunceeChat
A1: Student voice means that Ss are empowered in the classroom and can decide how to show what they learned, explore areas of passion through their own choices #BunceeChat
A1 To me student voice means giving them all a chance to let their voices be heard. It is important. We need their input...regardless of age... #bunceechat

#BunceeChat#stuvoice
A1: #studentvoice is vital 2 the learning process for Ts & Ss. S choices 4 what works for them are honored & shared w/peers w/in & #beyondthe4walls of the classroom. #BunceeChat
Love this, and when we are doing #pbl or have choice in other projects, so much better for them and for other Ss as well, learn and grow together #bunceechat
A1: Ss voice means adapting lessons to what works for either a group of students or each individual. How do they enjoy learning? What's working, was isn't? @Buncee#bunceechat
Hi, Barbie from Florida joining the amazing #Bunceechat tonight. The best part of my day was spending time with my parents during conferences sharing my Ss' amazing year in fifth grade. Such an exciting day. In just a few short weeks, they will begin their middle school journey.
A2 By listening to what students have to say and by asking questions that provide opportunities for Ss to share. Let the Ss lead their learning #bunceechat
A2: Teachers can empower their student's voices by allowing them to choose what tools they'd like to use, and ask them questions, and listen to their answers instead of answering for them! #BunceeChat#stuvoice
A2: Teachers can share responsibilities with students who are able to help out, & give students choices for expressing their learning. @TanELLclassroom shares how he gave choices to one selectively-mute ELL to empower his voice https://t.co/8S9ofoUzmn#BunceeChat
A2: allow Ss the freedom to explore in their learning. Donโt give them one way to get to the end. Let them show you how they arrive to their understanding. #Bunceechat
A2 we have student write tutorials and post them on @instructables to share with the world. Also have them complete project logs that lad to discussions #BunceeChat
A1: A student's voice is really important to me. By giving them the opportunity to express their needs, or ideas I can improve my teaching and make it more meaningful. #BunceeChat
A2:Ts can involve Ss in the decisions about types of activities, give choices for how to create a project, share their ideas, have Ss lead lessons for their peers #BunceeChat
I like the idea of setting individual goals with each student. This way the student knows they have goals separate from their peers. #Bunceechat#stuvoice
A2: Give them a microphone! I love the organic nature of empowerment though...when you realize a talent, and it somehow works its way into fruition in the classroom. Ex. Student Ed Camp. #Bunceechat
A2. Ts can give Ss more freedom on being able to choose the topics to learn and how to present them. When Ss feel they have a choice in what they are learning, they will be more open to learning and researching it. #BunceeChat
A2: It's important to give Ss options whenever possible. Additionally, I like for students to create and reflect about what they've learned in ways that are meaningful to them (sorry, worksheets!). Lastly, Ss need a chance to have feedback on the ed process.#BunceeChat
A2. Teachers can empower students in the classroom by guiding children to find their interests and showing them how to run with it all the way! #bunceechat
A2: Bringing in an authentic audience is a great way to empower Ss. My Ss have a challenge at the end of each unit where they prepare a dish and presentation for staff and sometimes local restaurant owners. Love to see them shine! #Bunceechat
Speaking of #STEAM students are creating Buncees to try the diff backgrounds, stickers, animations and create whatever they want, having a lot of fun learning! #iste#creativity#bunceechat
A2. Ts can give Ss more freedom on being able to choose the topics to learn and how to present them. When Ss feel they have a choice in what they are learning, they will be more open to learning and researching it. #BunceeChat
A2: Taking the time to learn and connect with your Ss right from the start and keep that going. Have your goals in mind while being flexible & ask for feedback, even if its tough to receive! #bunceechat
A2: Allow Ss to have a choice in their learning. Some love using @buncee or @chatterpix while others prefer traditional paper and pencil. If the outcome is the same, NBD for me. #bunceechat
#BunceeChat A2 Teachers can find out what students are experts in already and figure out how to find a way for them to share it with the class. They can let students teach them things about technology.
A2. Teachers can empower students in the classroom by guiding children to find their interests and showing them how to run with it all the way! #bunceechat
And she is a pro! recent conference at @AIU_WFL and they taught about the tools they like and answered Qs, all Ts were engaged in learning from them, #bunceechat

A3 We can learn so much from and with our students, but only if we hear their voice. We need to amplify not stifle their creativity and innovative spirits. #BunceeChat
A2: Ss must be given a choice in order for them to express their voice. That's what I love so much about #Buncee because it fits any subject and any concept and Ss are so free to express themselves in any way they desire. #bunceechat
A3: When students have a greater say, and more autonomy, their interest & engagement rise. This greater engagement leads to deeper connections and understanding. Thanks to @LeighaBurnham for sharing the story of her students' engagement https://t.co/MOLnOHGAX4#BunceeChat
A3 We can learn so much from and with our students, but only if we hear their voice. We need to amplify not stifle their creativity and innovative spirits. #BunceeChat@EmMen99
A2 Empower students by allowing them to make their own decisions about HOW they learn. Create a classroom that allows them to get more involved and creative with their own knowledge rather than have them sit at a desk during lectures. #BunceeChat
A3 We can learn so much from and with our students, but only if we hear their voice. We need to amplify not stifle their creativity and innovative spirits. #BunceeChat
So true. Itโs honestly amazing to see what innovative and creative solutions students come up with to make a difference. Itโs why we all learn, so students should be empowered to do so at all age levels #BunceeChat
A3 We can learn so much from and with our students, but only if we hear their voice. We need to amplify not stifle their creativity and innovative spirits. #BunceeChat
A3:We can learn abt Ss, build relationships, but more importantly, Ss are more motivated and engaged in learning thru choices, I have seen this so much more #BunceeChat
A3: Teaching isn't simply about imparting content knowledge. That would be too easy. We must work to develop learners and the only way to do that is by encouraging #stuvoice. #BunceeChat
A2: Ss need 2 be part of learning process from start 2 finish: guiding ?s 4 learning, choices 4 ways 2 show learning, sharing on platforms where other Ss can comment w/#purposefeedback, debrief session after a lesson/unit 2 share success & areas 4 improvement #BunceeChat
A1 student voice=>empowering students to take ownership of their learning. Allowing them to make some (or perhaps all) decisions in how what, and when they learn. Encouraging them to demonstrate understanding in ways that are meaningful to students is powerful #BunceeChat
A3: Less resistance from Ss. Let's be real, teaching isn't all rainbows and Ss don't always make it easy. Those extreme behavior kids? They're the ones who need to be heard. More student voice & choice = respect and motivation from S. #bunceechat
A3: We are able to choose how and what we learn about to best suit our interests and learning styles. This helps us to build on our best interests versus only focusing on what we are required to learn #BunceeChat
Definitely, first relationships, then connecting with learning thru choice, motivation, engagement, higher learning potential #stuvoice#stuchoice#bunceechat
A3:ย I think the learning is more effective when Ss see the relevance in it. #StuVoice makes them active participants as stakeholders, rather than passengers. #BunceeChat
#BunceeChat A3 Students learn from each other. It is important for students to see a teacher in the role of a learner (and making mistakes). Sometimes students know more about subjects that teacher do - that is great and should be celebrated.
Great point Jon, and even when we don't necessarily want to try something diff, we need to so we know if we really like it or not, brings out a new skill #bunceechat
A2: It's like the quote-โYou give a poor man a fish and you feed him for a day. You teach him to fish and you give him an occupation that will feed him for a lifetime.โ Get Ss involved making their own decisions & they truly learn the material - they take it to โค๏ธ. #Bunceechat
A2 Empower students by allowing them to make their own decisions about HOW they learn. Create a classroom that allows them to get more involved and creative with their own knowledge rather than have them sit at a desk during lectures. #BunceeChat
every day we all take risks, Eleanor Roosevelt said "Do one thing every day that scares you.." we should, part of learning and growing and rising above #bunceechat
I completely agree. Show them the road map so they know where they're going and allow them to take the wheel! I love traveling metaphors when applied to education! @EmMen99#BunceeChat
A3) They guide their own learning, setting them up to do the same outside of school. Less focus on compliance, which doesn't provide much growth opportunity outside of school. #BunceeChat
RT I am amazed every time they present their #pbl , I could not provide as much as they do, making connections with global issues and other classrooms is key, #globalawareness#globaled#bunceechat
A2 take a step away from the front of the room! Let students come up with norms. Let students solve class problems by coming up with strategies. Encourage them to be creative and confident when showing what they have learned. #bunceechat
A3 The benefit of this is that you are creating a positive engagement environment within your classroom. As a teacher you are able to see who your students are and with that you can teach them so much! This can allow students to be active in their education! #BunceeChat
A4 There is something magical about Buncee. Even the most reluctant learners create masterpieces that showcase their learning, and their excitement! #BunceeChat
A4 Buncee helps to promote student voice in learning by giving students so many options, from animations to backgrounds to the drawing feature. This allows students to better express themselves, be heard and standout. #BunceeChat#stuvoice
A4: Buncee's easy-to-use creation and sharing tools make it a breeze for students of all ages to get ideas and thoughts out of their head and into a sharing space! Learn more about sharing here https://t.co/yr3vQJr9Qf#BunceeChat
A3: And in those instances, Anne, Ss should be allowed to share their knowledge/expertise. What an incredible learning opportunity! They have such power over their peers when they take on the role of teachers! #Bunceechat
#BunceeChat A3 Students learn from each other. It is important for students to see a teacher in the role of a learner (and making mistakes). Sometimes students know more about subjects that teacher do - that is great and should be celebrated.

A3:ย I think the learning is more effective when Ss see the relevance in it. #StuVoice makes them active participants as stakeholders, rather than passengers. #BunceeChat
Thanks. What if they see your class as the place to do work on that one thing, tool, idea, etc, that they can't do anywhere else? You have them hooked. #BunceeChat
Zee from PGH just checking in. Best part of my day was getting more stuff ready for @swpaect Teacher PD I am hosting at my school! @Rdene915 will be there too! So excited and was thrilled to walk outside to some nice weather FINALLY! #bunceechat
A4 @Buncee provides a creative, engaging, platform for students to share their thoughts and knowledge in an authentic format. This is a truly engaging tool that can enhance any learning goal and extend learning beyond the classroom. @TripleEFrame#bunceechat
A3: Those who are otherwise "get lost bet the cracks" are no longer silent, Ts are connected 2 their Ss exponentially, Ss are engaged, take charge, empathy increases, awareness is heightened... I could go on & on #BunceeChat#letyourstudentsspeak#stuvoice
So awesome! I love the visual the student created to describe the situation! (Ps...Iโm personally excited that I can still read in Spanish!) ๐ #bunceechat

A4: #Buncee provides the perfect platform for Ss to express their voice. There are no limitations - the sky/their imagination is the limit! (Although, I believe the powers/MAGIC of Buncee is limitless, actually!) #bunceechat

A4: Buncee gives students the tools to write, reflect, create and share what's in their heads and hearts. It's easy enough that it doesn't require a lot of formatting thought, but powerful enough that they can communicate in so many ways! #BunceeChat
A3: Less resistance from Ss. Let's be real, teaching isn't all rainbows and Ss don't always make it easy. Those extreme behavior kids? They're the ones who need to be heard. More student voice & choice = respect and motivation from S. #bunceechat
A4: The real question is how DOESN'T it? Many cultural images, ability to web search for content, add videos, voice, text, drawing, QR codes. It's endless! #bunceechat
Im new to @Buncee but it seems their sole purpose is student voice in all sizes, shapes, and forms from all over! It is literally centered around studentsโ voices! #bunceechat
#BunceeChat A4 @Buncee gives students many different ways to express themselves. Whether it is a project on an animal, a poem, a story board or how to solve a math problem - they can add ideas in print, using audio and punctuate their thinking (literally) with emojis!
Your "Aunt" Zee is so proud of you girls helping with @Rdene915 with this great #Bunceechat You are amazing to take the time to share and be part of this!
A4: @Buncee โs creation tool offers students multiple ways to create and express their learning without limitations. This helps encourage their individual voices to come alive - in whatever shape, tone, or form #BunceeChat
A4: Incorporating Ss voice can really invigorate your teaching! If we expect our students to collaborate and take others opinions into consideration, we must do the same! #Bunceechat
A4 What I see from my most recent classroom visits to @kemnitzer3@frank_lukasik@BMcClelland24@MrsMaryL326 classes. Kids become invested in creating because they have a voice, choice, and must think critical for what ever they are creating on the blank Buncee canvas #bunceechat
Thank you Emma! We would love to hear your feedback too - students and teachers helped to make Buncee into what it is today, so send over any ideas! #Bunceechat
So true Larry, enjoying it in my 8th grade class and other Ss tell us their younger siblings are now creating @buncee for fun! on the weekends! #bunceechat
A4: Yes, #Buncee is so MAGICAL, Amy. I love #BunceeTime in the classroom! Ss are so focused and absolutely, completely engaged in the #creation process! #Bunceechat
A4 There is something magical about Buncee. Even the most reluctant learners create masterpieces that showcase their learning, and their excitement! #BunceeChat
A5: Students creating and sharing on Buncee Boards can make a great support network tool. Explore these 10 ways to use Buncee Boards: https://t.co/H3fzrTVhEr#BunceeChat
A5: Students can share their Buncees, use them as a way to introduce themselves to classmates and Ts, share on Buncee Boards, or on @edmodo with our global pals #BunceeChat
A5: I havenโt used it in this way yet, but a Get to Know Me at the start of the year would be fun! My Ss collaborate on projects which is a relationship builder in itself #Bunceechat
And when Megan made this at the beginning of the year, She said "I have my @Buncee " and I said what for, she said the verb lesson, is that wrong? I said no, never thought of using it for that! #bunceechat#eduawesome

A5:Seeing students create and share together on @Buncee Boards has been one of my favorite things while working at Buncee! I've seen so many kids share kind messages and great ideas this way! #BunceeChat
A4: It provides a very engaging and inviting platform for students to speak their knowledge, ides, and thoughts. Its very creative and really encouraging! Its always easier to voice how you feel and think when you are being encouraged! #Bunceechat
Hope Iโm not too late for this great discussion about student voice! Iโm a consultant with @EdTechMI and all around #blendedlearning evangelist ๐#BunceeChat
I loved doing my PBL about Renewable Energy on @Buncee . There was this one slide in particular, that had animated wind turbines and a breeze blowing that was really awesome. I'll have your "sister" show you #BunceeChat
