This is the official Twitter account for #OklaEd, thehashtag that brings OK educators together. #OklaEd is not political & promotes constructive dialogue.
#oklaed Am in a contentious Facebook discussion this evening because I think FAILURE is an important source of innovation ( you know: FAIL=First Attempt In Learning —> Innovation, creativity, useful efforts on impt situations) and they think is too negative.
A1: Get teachers excited about all of the cool things they can do in the classroom and THEN give them the support and resources they need to do so! #oklaed
A1 - I think the title of this chat captures the answer to this question. It has to be encouraged, beyond that notice when I try something innovative, mention it, and to truly spur innovation #okleg has to fund the resources for our classroom! #oklaed
A1) We’ve got to be the lifelong learners we strive to make out of Ss and stay on top of what is new and what others are doing that could work in our classrooms. #oklaed
A1: Fund it! #OkLeg and then let go of the reigns a little bit, let students come up with the questions and the answers! Just guide the ship in the right direction. #oklaed
#oklaed A1: Ss choose their own ideas to research & write about to help them plan, design, and implement an idea. I call it “putting their learning into action.”
A1: stop passing out worksheets and start providing more ops for hands on Inquiry based learning. It takes an investment of time and just the want to. #oklaed
We're adding another teacher to help improve the learning environment for students! Join the EPS team as an English teacher at Enid High! https://t.co/AOgdJvlpDp#OklaEd
A1: We can create a culture that allows teachers to experiment and try innovative strategies that have the risk of failure. We have to look at ways to get the fear of new teaching methods out of education. #oklaed
A1 model risk taking and innovation no matter your role in a school, encourage students to share their voice and give them some choice, focus on the process rather than end product #oklaed
A1: SHARE! Advertise what other teachers are doing. Everyone wants to feel valued and sharing the good things your educators are doing will increase teacher efficacy, which could lead to greater heights of innovation in the classroom. #oklaed
Kathy Dunn, Mid-Del Assistant Superintendent
A1: Innovation increases when we focus on teaching kids student-centered lessons on standards rather than teaching the textbook page by page. #OklaEd
A1) Start on day 1 with growth mindset activities. Involve students in helping create classroom rules and procedures. Be open and encourage ideas from all learners all the time. Voice and choice. #oklaed
A1: if you take that how I like to learn survey the first day of school.. yeah use that! Don't just file it away. If you teach how they learn you never work a day. #oklaed
A1. Give students a voice in their education. Honor that voice. Be vulnerable enough to try new ideas and be willing to make mistakes. Either create or find a school culture which embraces innovation. #OklaEd
I think I am on this journey. I am in the process of attempting to convert my class into an inquiry based history lab and in do so may expirement with more of a standards based grading approach. Teach the process and thinking instead of memorizing facts. #oklaed
#OklaEd A1: Give them challenging driving questions AND facilitate their efforts to innovate - including dealing positively with the very likely failures / mistakes that will occur.
Focus on the 4 C's and close the technology gap by focusing not only on putting devices in Ss hands but on how they are used. Tech for low SES is primarily used remedially instead of to explore #oklaed
A2) Ask ourselves and our Ss, is this the same thing we’ve been doing? Is it working? Can we make it better? Draw up a plan, execute, assess, and then do it all over again. #oklaed
A2 I think this is a reason this is scary. Measuring or assessing is harder the more innovative we get. We have to be open to a more standard based grading system than formative assessments. #oklaed
A2: School or classroom climate can be measured. Innovation doesn’t just happen. We must first foster a culture that values network improvement communities—for professionals as well as students. #nic#oklaed@shellyellis_715@tiffanyneill@levi_patrick
A2) Empowerment. Are my Ss present? Measured by attendance. Are Ss engaged? Measured by interest. Are Ss empowered? Measured by the difference they're making in their world. #oklaed
A2. Assess?!?! Not sure how to do that. If we want innovation, in my experience is to just let them go for it. If we start assessing it, we can block the creative flow. But this is just my opinion #Oklaed
A2: There may not be anything quantitative to measure or assess, but a qualitative measure could be the motivation, attendance, and culture of the classrooms using innovation in the classroom. #oklaed
A2) Emphasize (not assess) solutions and reflection. How can they become better? Assessment scares people and tends to force them to think about what the assessor want instead of their own creativity. #OklaEd
A2- Not pushing TLE by any means but several domains support innovation and could be used to measure/assess. Ex: Technology, sharing with colleagues, PD, etc #OklaEd
#oklaed A2: A plan or map of what will be designed, how they will implement this idea, & the final product. Have them discuss their ideas & reflect about what did or did not work.
A2) start by sharing growth mindset and set the stage for your classroom environment, then watch@for interests and ideas to develop, nor all@students like the same things. #oklaed
I love this because this is what they will get in the real world. They will not get a grade on something at work, they work get feedback and a chance to reflect and improve. #oklaed
A2. The strength of the individual voice. They need to be confident in themselves in order to be innovative! #qualitativedata-Please don’t go create a multiple choice test on voice and put it in Mastery Connect to measure their level of mastery. #youwillkilltheinnovation#oklaed
A2 innovation in the classroom should be assessed through reaching goal but also the risks involved and the intent/effort to accomplish a task Ts should be supported in the same way #oklaed
A2: You can always measure the standards being taught - if the innovation covers a S's math class, did they actually realize how the angles added up? If ELA, was there a deeper understanding of punctuation? #oklaed
A1 Provide time for Ts to meet & collaborate during the work week. Encourage all staff to become connected educators, specifically using Twitter. Highlight & celebrate innovative ideas / practices. Model reasoned risk taking & an iterative design process 4 problem solving #OklaEd
A2: Reflect—Is this the same thing I asked of last year’s students? Can my students Google the answers? What can my students build from this? How can they make this their own? How can we make this something they’ll remember tomorrow? Next week? Next year? Next decade? #oklaed
A2b All grade levels could benefit from a standards based reports card...allows more flexibility and opportunity for innovation. We need to rethink how we evaluate. #oklaed
#OklaEd A2: Ask good questions about innovative efforts identified in presentations of their efforts. And, if grading, reward their efforts to be innovative as well as their reactions / explanations / learning from their successes & struggles / failures along the way.
A2: When it fits, give students choices in how they might demonstrate their learning of a particular concept or lesson. Key word = demonstrate. #OklaEd
A2 Late checking in. Create environments where failures are seen as growth opportunities & their are incentives for T's to be innovative. But most of all we have to cre8 situations where T's have time to think of ways to be innovative instead of just surviving! #oklaed
A2 Encourage the use of portfolio assessment for learning, as a supplement and complement to standardized measures. Utilize @Seesaw learning journals to specifically share examples of student work with media, encourage the use these artifacts in parent/T conferences! #OklaEd
A2: How about measuring instead of assess? And measure implementation of innovative processes? Rubric style New ideas, flipped classrooms, active student engagement. 🤔 #oklaed
A2b) looking at data and finding trends like what effect remediation is having, and what Ts are using innovative tools to cause genuine remediation with at-risk Ss #OklaEd
A2 Late checking in. Create environments where failures are seen as growth opportunities & their are incentives for T's to be innovative. But most of all we have to cre8 situations where T's have time to think of ways to be innovative instead of just surviving! #oklaed
A3: PBLs, Makerspaces, STEM challenges My Ss always amaze me with what they can do, create, or ask when their interests are reflected in their learning! #oklaed
Yes! They’re more likely to follow through. I created a course to help students find what they’re willing to run through a brick wall to change. https://t.co/U48VIX3wY3#oklaed
Exactly! But even in the real world we deal with assessment. And it still scares us! Who was thinking about creativity when they took licensing tests? How stressed are you when you have evaluations? #OklaEd
A3 - I use A lot of inquiry based group projects. I then give my Ss a choice in how they represent their knowledge. It can be a poster, it can be a song, or a painting or a video, or a play. I have some talented students than need freedom to flex their creative muscles #oklaed
#oklaed so I was going to just take a quick twitter break but then I saw the words “innovation” and “measure” in the same question and thought, “Oh no! I’ve got to stay and be a part of this.”
The most innovative thing you can do is to be a teacher who gives a s---: about your job, about your subjects, and most importantly, about your students. I've been guilty this year of losing focus on these for the sake of "innovation". Do you. #oklaed
A3 I support teachers giving students choices about how they "show what they know" using media. I love when students use audio with images to reflect and share their learning with a bigger audience. https://t.co/j4ocgY9Wto#OklaEd
#OklaEd A3: Challenging driving questions, presentations, learning from failure, developing at least four skills (Effective Learning, problem solving, communicating, and working in groups).
A3: The beauty of innovation is that it can come in numerous ways. I️ think reflection activities are good, but many times innovation is stymied because “we’ve never done that before” attitude prevails. #oklaed#getoutofthebox
#oklaed A3: I embed it into my curriculum. Ss make games for a piece of literature, write a script & make a movie, or design art. Relate it to career choices, interests, or talents.
A3: project based learning, makerspace, Ss using google slides for assignments, Pebblego, etc encourage them to innovate how they feel comfortable. #oklaed
A3 Any activity that is out of the box and has kids up and learning gets me excited and in that classroom to be a part of it. I am always just looking for something crazy to join in on and the fine teachers at SMS know it. #oklaed
A3: Present students with problems to solve. Decide what is acceptable evidence of learning and let students choose how they show their learning. Don’t merely give a recipe to follow. #oklaed
A1: Innovation requires resources: time (i.e. common planning time for Ts, freedom to choose/create curriculum, etc), mini-grants to buy equipment or fund experiences, and support from admin. #oklaed
You are outside the teacher-box and finding innovative ways to assess. I believe that formative assessment can be demonstrations, performance, etc., not always multiple-guess. #oklaed
We are doing Hour of Code. We do a lot of math projects, open ended tasks. STEM! (Desperately want more time for it - darn 3rd grade tests 😭) technology helps make innovation accessible though. #oklaed
A3. In Leadership, my S’s have a project planning event. They have to research, host, and evaluate from start to finish. It is their event. So they can almost do whatever their heart desires (pending school rules). I have seen successes & failures. But they have ownership #OklaEd
A3b - As far as personally. I participate in twitter chats, I go to conferences, I read edu blogs. I listen to podcasts, I read books on innovation in education, business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Basically I keep pushing myself daily. #oklaed
A3: I am trying to give my teachers the encouragement and freedom to be innovative in the classroom. Some habits are hard to break but time will work on their side and they will become better teachers for our students. #oklaed
A3) Facilitate/encourage healthy discussions, especially when there is disagreement...even w/ elementary. Disagreement and dissenting opinions can spur innovation. #oklaed
A3) To use a buzz word : Differentiated Instruction- when in the classroom I used Contract Learning Packs with my Ss and saw the positive impact it can have #OklaEd
Students should have time to pursue their interests for credit like 80/20 projects or club days. Ts should also have opps to pursue new methods/tech and share with peers for credit too! #oklaed
A3 Makerspaces, PBL, Group work all great but we have to move the culture towards these activities. Move away from requiring a certain number of grades & we must move away from chasing grades. We must chase learning instead! #ParadigmShift#oklaed
A3: Opportunities for Ts to share the innovations they are leading in their rooms, buildings with their colleagues. #edcamp motto: learn from the expertise in the room!! #oklaed
A3: I love having discussions with other "outside the box" thinkers and it is awesome having leadership that likes hearing our crazy ideas! @CoachLoriM@leadrshpmattrs#Oklaed
I am trying to be that teacher. Some days I feel more successful than others. I will say one thing that makes taking risks easier is the support of our admin - Dr. Broiles, yourself, Dr. Cobb. #oklaed
A3) I love Botball for this. Logic, engineering, math, grammar (of a sort), creativity, reflection and adaptation - all with a concrete result the Ss can see and celebrate. #OklaEd
A3 My littles have time each day for building, creating, storytelling...hopefully I'm laying a foundation for innovation that upper grades will build upon. Innovation must be encouraged k-12 #oklaed
This can be really simple-- highlight something new a T is trying at a faculty meeting or give Ts the chance to observe another T trying something new. #oklaed
But I think you asses all the time! When you evaluate success - Did it work? What did I learn? What might work better on the next try? Did we reach our goals? - all those are assessment. #oklaed
A3b: As a leader I can encourage my teachers to try new strategies that will take the pressure off of them and give the responsibility of learning to the student. Then allow the students to fail in the process so they can learn from failure. #oklaed
A4: I make time for talk. For discussion. Innovation will never begin without first an idea. Then comes research. Pick your question. Then comes the work. Allow time for all of this. #oklaed
A4 Make time 4 conversations W/T's that are interested. Brainstorm strategize support & recognize. Model when possible but get involved & put it all over social media & other promotion activities. #oklaed
Right here read this! -fist bump-well except the reading part because if it wasn’t for your English teacher you wouldn’t be able to read twitter posts #oklaed
A4 - I get away from being an educator and be a dad, a husband, and just a person Spend time with my kids. Go Black Friday shopping with my wife. Go for a run. Take photos of nature. Getting refreshed keeps me sharp. #oklaed
A4) Constantly watching, discussing, encouraging Ts making instructional risks and then letting them share it by getting Ts (our school and other schools) in their classes. Let our Ts go to different schools to see other Ts. #oklaed
#OklaEd A4: Developing driving questions and facilitating the four skills (again, Effective Learning, problem solving, communicating, and working in groups).
Student choice. Choice in how they show me what they know, choice in the projects they partake in, even choice in what they read can spark that curiosity. CHOICE. #oklaed
A4 I have to make time to analyze if what I'm doing is working, or does it need to be modified. This always ongoing and changes with each class. #OklaEd
A4 Offer to team teach lessons that involve new risks for teachers to offer support and assistance. Weave in the use of innovative ways to accomplish tasks as a staff. Model what I want Ts and Ss to embrace #oklaed
#A4 Modeling. My Ts are amazing and when they see it in action - they are full steam ahead! On the other hand I learn so much from watching them!! #oklaed
A4: All of our elementary Ts make time to take their Ss to our Makerspaces each week. Ss are engaged in STEM activities and other innovative opportunities. #oklaed
LOL. Sometimes multiple choice is the best method for a number of reasons, but we shouldn't feel that we have skipped the assessment just because our method didn't yield a measure on a 100 point scale.#oklaed
A4: Making space for / listening through multiple misguided student ideas; don’t immediately dismiss the seemingly impossible or even the perceived inappropriate. #oklaed
A3: Stuco/Student led weeks bring student group confidence in innovative project development inside schools. I’d like 2C that lead 2 service projects, and eventually an active part in schoolwide improvement plans where our kids bring their parents along for the learning! #oklaed
A4: When you spot teachers who are innovative take time to let them share their success! Could be done in a faculty meeting or allowing other teachers to observe their classroom! #oklaed
Growing my PLN! What new contact or follow have I added this week? What new source of information or perspective have I found? Cultivate knowledge blocks and combine them to innovate #oklaed
A5 - Every Tuesday I have a Socratic discussion with my AP World history Ss. They have to provide the discussion questions that guide us. This allows them to have a voice in what we are doing and to show how they are handling in the material innovatively. #oklaed
#OklaEd A4: My Ss write the senior paper, but the topic is their choice. It’s the preparation stage; during the second semester, they do the project where they put learning into action. So everything learned first semester is connected to the second semester.
A5 Students to get on top of tables/desks. Work outside/hallways. Students using their own devices. Encourage T's to listen to S's idea's. Allow S's to have a say in what we offer for enrichment/clubs #oklaed
Allow some freedom. Don’t knock a kid down for a “wrong” answer. Dive in and explore that “wrong” answer. So many things were discovered by mistakes. So many. #oklaed
Allow (and embrace) technology, social media, video games. The things students are savvy with. The things that will be a big part of our future. #oklaed
A5 Well...it's kindergarten so most of what we do encourages innovation. Hands on learning, student choice, collaboration, time to play, and explore. #oklaed
A5) I allow teachers to try anything that can be tied to their subject area/standards. For example, my Media Specialist is teaching a teen parent literacy class where the student and child learn how to recognize learning deficits and literacy skills. #oklaed
#OklaEd A5: IF I were in a classroom and IF I were allowed, I’d get rid of textbooks, grades, homework, and handouts / assignments that have anything remotely close to a “right” answer.
A5 We allow technology and the internet with so much information and so many ideas. Just think about how it used to be. All we had were textbooks and what the teacher personally knew. #OklaEd
A5: Books books and more Books... ya know cool books like picture books, graphic novels, young Adult Literature... there is also more cool technology and digital stuff hidden in my room too... oh and did I mention Art Integration #Oklaed
A4)I make time for a morning meeting it takes time but is so valuable to my classroom community. It encourages them to share ideas and listen. Offer ideas and encourage others. Some of the most teachable moments come from morning meeting or closing circle. #oklaed
oh my goodness. They live it everyday! They can do it when they go shopping with parents on best/nutritious foods to figuring out how to keep their siblings out of their room. #oklaed
‘S A4: Substantive conversation... Our kiddos can come up with some amazing out the box ideas if there’s allowed to collaborate and have meaningful conversations about a standard and how it’s relevant to them. Just take a look at @kriscoop80 ‘s kids! #Oklaed
A6 - I praise them verbally. I showcase student work. Have even shared pics of some on social media. I encourage them to pursue passions deeper. #oklaed
A5 Permit more open access to Internet websites at school. All social media & interactive websites should NOT be blocked at school. Support a learning culture of accountability & responsibility, & support positive choices by students as well as teachers. Teach #DigCit#OklaEd
Stole this from my mom, for elementary level. We have a marble jar that is JUST for “beautiful brain work”. Anytime a student tries something, makes a helpful mistake, perserveres, thinks outside of the box they put a brain work marble in. #oklaed
A6: By adding value to their voice and perspectives... all perspectives are welcome you just have to give me evidence to validate your perspective #oklaed
A5: We allow our teachers to take risk! If we don't take risk, we just do the same old thing. Even if your idea doesn't go as planned, it's still a learning opportunity!#oklaed
A6) Get other Ts in their classroom. Social media shoutouts. Weekly emails w/ pictures and praise. Create a culture where copying innovation spurs deeper innovation. #oklaed
A6 Create a "learning showcase" blog to amplify examples of student / teacher creativity & innovation at school! Would love to see more websites like this, using social media to TELL and SHARE our stories with constituents. More on: https://t.co/1Zmyo9IIHz#OklaEd
A5: I hope that is ME as a tech innovation teacher. I try encourage and inspire Ts to try new innovative things in their classrooms allowing their Ss to create, collaborate, communicate and think critically. #oklaed
A5) Letting Ss input on things. If there’s something I don’t like in marching band and I’m thinking of changing. I tell the Ss what I’m thinking and get feedback. Sometimes their ideas work better and gives them ownership of the product. #oklaed
If they are engaged to a great degree I’d give them a top grade. But I would not emphasize grading. If innovation is done right a grade should be of trivial consequence to the student. #oklaed
Stole this from my mom, for elementary level. We have a marble jar that is JUST for “beautiful brain work”. Anytime a student tries something, makes a helpful mistake, perserveres, thinks outside of the box they put a brain work marble in. #oklaed
A6. My kids pick one faculty member a week and get them a candy bar to say thank you. Other teachers have kids write notes. I just got appreciation tickets for my classroom for S’s. #oklaed
#OklaEd A6: I think that’s a problem because if you’re not willing to change how we facilitate education, then you will not listen to these new ideas. I always have ideas; it’s finishing these ideas that is also a problem.
A6 Amplify local innovation by inviting students to share short presos at upcoming school board meetings. Ask students to share short stories of innovation at faculty meetings. Record a "quick edit video" with each student & share on social media! #OklaEdhttps://t.co/Mhjh6Imh5o
A6. At SMS we plaster the teacher’s innovation on social media. It not only provides positive feedback, but lets the community see the great things Sulphur teachers are doing to educate our kids. #oklaed
A6. Authentically celebrate their achievements. Not just inside the school - call local news, include it in the newsletter / social media. Encourage them to take the next step and dream bigger. #oklaed
A5) Flexibility. As long as I can back up my ideas with solid reasons why my Ss need them, I have the freedom to execute them. We just brought a cow to school for petes sake! And it was fabulous! #OklaEd
A6: Teachers and administrators need to say “yes” more and “no” less. Just as students should be allowed to take chances in learning, teachers should also be allowed to take professional chances. #oklaed
A6: I think the motivation for innovation must be an intrinsic desire to change the world, not to earn points or badges or other rewards. The innate desire to matter, to be significant, is much more powerful. #oklaed
I don't think we've formally defined innovation in this chat, but have definitely shared different ways to encourage & celebrate it! So I'd say innovation is being defined independently most likely in many different ways :-) #OklaEd
A6: I don't do much. I figure it's not about the praise as much as it is getting Ss out of the fixed mindset to where there is a need for praise. A note home is my go to. #oklaed
A7a - Have not tried it yet, but this was an idea presented by an AP at a recent PLC. There are 3 World history teachers, lets say each of us has 5 Ss in a certain hour struggling with the same concept, and 1 T has a creative way of teaching that #oklaed
A7) By giving up some of the aimed at assessment stuff and recognizing that the reflection, collaboration, and brainstorming will accomplish more and better things for our Ss. Even on the all important test. #OklaEd
If they are engaged to a great degree I’d give them a top grade. But I would not emphasize grading. If innovation is done right a grade should be of trivial consequence to the student. #oklaed
A5) Flexibility. As long as I can back up my ideas with solid reasons why my Ss need them, I have the freedom to execute them. We just brought a cow to school for petes sake! And it was fabulous! #OklaEd
A4)I make time for a morning meeting it takes time but is so valuable to my classroom community. It encourages them to share ideas and listen. Offer ideas and encourage others. Some of the most teachable moments come from morning meeting or closing circle. #oklaed
(Unorthodox answer) Research & know the value behind innovative/creative projects & practices. When you have expertise in why these things ARE learning, you can back up spending that time. Not always, but it helps. Know your stuff. #oklaed
A7b - Then we should shift our Ss around for a day or few and that 1 T take the struggling Ss to teach that standard or substandard and reasses. #oklaed
It is done privately kinda. The kids take it to their classrooms so if someone sees it. And no, we do not do all teachers. This has to be the kids choice. It is more genuine. I just tell them no repeats. #oklaed
Students usually love it, it’s natural. Admin usually wants to love it but is stressed, parents can be so reluctant to “change” but give them a chance to see it in action, see the learning, see the kids faces - most buy in. #oklaed
A8 - Currently through simply talking about it and modeling it. I am going to move to blogging about it more and maybe even podcasting some ideas. #oklaed
Yes! A few years ago the HR head at Google said they no longer care much about grades; they're looking for people who like to tackle questions for which there are no easy answers. #oklaed
A7: We have to learn to trust that creative, engaging, interactive lessons will actually yield success on the mind-numbing types of assessments given at the end of the year. Give it time and prove it works! #oklaed
A8 We can communicate the value of an innovative culture by sharing and celebrating examples of it whenever we can. Newsletters, social media, short talks at faculty and parent meetings - Constantly amplifying with words & media! #OklaEd
A6: Students are most excited when people other than their teachers or parents care about their work. Here are 7 easy ways for them to connect with experts and mentors. https://t.co/njPzJujtpW#oklaed
A7: Reflection is qualitative form of measurement. We do a reflection piece every day in my class. #oklaed For PLCs you could have a monthly meeting dedicated to reflection, collaboration, and brainstorming. It’s a lot more innovative than worrying about the numbers #OklaEd
A8: Innovation means change. Everyone wants change, but doesn't want to be changed. Be willing to take the ridicule and failures. Believe and live to Stay strong and fail forward. #oklaed
A7) By giving up some of the aimed at assessment stuff and recognizing that the reflection, collaboration, and brainstorming will accomplish more and better things for our Ss. Even on the all important test. #OklaEd
A7: Without reflection and collaboration there will be no success so the question should be how can we not have reflection and collaboration despite the assessment & accountability? Answer: The first takes care of the last we just have to have the courage to try. #oklaed
A7: I've created a course that drives student passion-based innovation & creates a culture of mattering throughout the school. The student materials are about 3 hours of video plus activities & reflection. https://t.co/cFObCYymOY#OklaEd
A7 Challenge teachers and staff to PRUNE individual goals and priorities instead of just adding to an already large list. Then encourage scheduled time (on the calendar) for reflection, collaboration & brainstorming. Model this as an administrator #OklaEd
A8: by bringing it to life. Connecting it to real life experiences. They need to see the relevance of it. They need to know the WHY? Spark their interest. #oklaed
A8: Well my Ps are way out an the abyss somewhere still trying to find them. Ss we communicate on a daily basis in how awesome their ideas are. Ts - So how could you change that worksheet into something they can create? #OklaEd
A8: You communicate through your actions. We have to ask ourselves as administrators if we are willing to truly trust our teachers. Our actions will show if we really encourage taking risk or not. #oklaed
A8) I don't think they are the ones who need convincing. I think it's the people in charge of creating the high stakes test culture that need that. So write, call, e-mail. Share stories. Show what we know! #OklaEd
A8: Let Ss know that being innovative means you will likely fall on your face a time or two, and they will learn more from that than from instant, easy success. If it’s about the learning instead of grades, make sure they know it. Allow re-dos & be intentional. #oklaed
