A2: planning, organization, problem solving, following through with multi step tasks

A3: EF tips for the classroom: visual reminders, posted agenda, change the noise level, organization and predictability
A2- I find that is is very difficult for my Ss to manage time and prioritize tasks
We need your brilliance for tonight! Where ARE you??

A3: I keep "a book of math awesomeness" where I print out samples from math lessons in case students need to access visual samples
Q4: What types of IEP goals might be appropriate to address EF skills & develop lifelong strategies for Ss?
YES!! That is SUCH a hard thing (says the moderator who posted a 25-min warning tweet b/c she missed the 30-min one)
A4: This overview of HOW EF skills are utilized in learning may be beneficial in determining goals: https://t.co/qAisKzC13o

Color-coding is the key to my ADHD, scatter-brained, need-a-system heart!
Q5: How can we help Ss work on EF skill development for home/community/employment settings? What can we recommend to parents?
A5: Choose to tackle one area at at time and take time working through it, gradually building independence. Try and be patient.
Just color coded behavior sheets for new para, she giggled, but I know it will help! https://t.co/mlXIvl2Tar
Color-coding is the key to my ADHD, scatter-brained, need-a-system heart!

Q7: Understanding time & planning time for various tasks & activities is difficult. How can we help Ss plan for & understand time?

A6-my Ss don't always know what is important, so everything gets saved!
Q8: EF skills include initiating tasks & persisting through hard. What strategies help Ss get started & keep trying independently?

A8: Overview of normal development of initiation, engagement, & persistence to help identify skill gaps: https://t.co/4iUd7J5CxM
That might be it. Maybe some people are still on break this week, too.
maybe people have different breaks? Maybe we need more promo? Not sure
A7- we are 1 to 1 with iPads, Ss have some great apes that help. Love Notability
We'll just call this the this week. :)
Great ideas and points! I didn't promote as much as usual and breaks may be it!
You have monkeys using your iPads?!? Because apes on iPads are WAY cooler than apps. (Kidding, but couldn't resist.)
Maybe we need better EF skills for planning ahead so we can promote ? We haven't need to lately.
Q9: Share favorite websites, books, & resources related to Executive Functioning skills, strategies, teaching, assessment, etc.
A8-relationship is so important, those hard tasks become more manageable if Ss feel safe
