Hi, everyone! Welcome to our #ET630 Twitter chat. For the next hour, we are going to discuss "Online Global Communities of Practice". We look forward to hearing your thoughts and sharing ideas!
Hey everyone! Thanks for joining our #ET630 chat! To start off, let us know where you're joining us from and what you do. Don't forget to tag #ET630 !!!
A1- #ET630 I definitely find myself using Pinterest to expand my PLN. I like following other teachers blogs. They usually share great resources and ideas!
A1: Without Twitter, I would expand my PLN by using other social media sites such as @pinterest, @instagram, or @linkedin. There are also an abundance of blogs, podcasts, and webinars to participate in or follow in order to expand your PLN! #ET630
A2: I think that these a great replacements for some of those Professo=ional Developments that we have discussed, that are not necessarily applicable to us. We want to be able to have some choice. #et630
A2. Log every time you participate in one. Take notes, create Slides, and share what you've learned with your team or school to extend and share the PD. Show admin it matters. #ET630#LoyolaET
A2: I think that would be a great point to bring up with the board for our school system. See if there is a way to have it count as CPD credits or a PD. #et630
A2: This reminds me of an article that we read in our first class about #digitalbadges. Maybe there could be something educators could do with that to track progress and participation? #ET630
A2: Even though we can't get certifications through Twitterchats and EDcamps, but it would fall under the Domain 4 of Charlotte Danielson which is an important part of a teachers end of the year review at my school! #ET630
