  • AutoAutoAI May 29 @ 1:24 PM EDT
A2. Improve our coaching system so that the teachers that are starting to code, are more successful teaching coding in their classrooms. #ETCoaches
  • magistrareardon May 29 @ 1:25 PM EDT
Power of feedback is so important. I'm hoping to do more work with teachers and students around reflection and publication. Lots of opportunity! #ETCoaches

  • shoemap - Moderator May 29 @ 1:27 PM EDT
I like webinars (if they are interactive) and self-paced courses. #ETCoaches

A3. BOTH! I am going back for a new certificate from Penn State (on my way to PHD slowly), attending the virtual world campus. I am also leading a book study and several virtual workshops. And finally, I am on the #ETCoaches leadership and attending (and presenting) at ISTE.
  • ssseason7 May 29 @ 1:28 PM EDT
OMG please help with this! What ever you can do it is such a crutch and I am totally willing to admit it is one of mine. We need to think outside the ppt/slideshow box...#ETCoaches

What session are you most excited about at @iste? I am trying to build my own schedule and am curious what others want to see. #ETCoaches
    In reply to @shoemap, @iste
  • magistrareardon May 29 @ 1:29 PM EDT
We've been piloting digital portfolios, and would like to use them more next year as a tool for reflection on the learning process and making learning visible. Publication as an extension, since our students prefer video and media platforms! #ETCoaches

Q4: How will you encourage colleagues to engage in PD this summer? #ETCoaches
  • MrsMHenning - Moderator May 29 @ 1:32 PM EDT
#ETCoaches - topics vary greatly, but my favorite formats include BYOD (or ByodEX) and interactive lectures. I like to DO something while I am in sessions, not just "sit and get." You get one BYOD per day with your basic registration, but can line up and go standby for many.

A4: I will post on Twitter all the events I am going to and I will attach certificates and badges I receive to my @LinkedIn and share it with my colleagues. I think more educators should utilize Linkedin it is like a professional digital portfolio #ETCOACHES
  • magistrareardon May 29 @ 1:36 PM EDT
"Scalable" can be trickier, but I'd love to see teachers doing more creating vs. consuming, just like we want our kids to do! #ETCoaches

Awesome! I read Learning First with the #ETCoaches book study, and we are using @TripleEFrame in my district. Our 1:1 iPad rollout is actually called “Learning First” because of some of our takeaways from the book
