A: This is one of the beautiful things about my school - everyone is willing to help each other. Whether it's needing to be away, sharing ideas and resources, swapping rooms, co-teaching, etc. I true community of caring, trust, and respect. #bfc530
I may have 2 instances. First when our school applied to be a National School of Character, so many came out to help point out what makes our school great!! #bfc530

When I first came to my current district, I was struggling with classroom mgt. My principal, wonderful woman, pulled me into her office & instead of knocking me down on my eval, made some solid PD recommendations that changed everything for the better. #bfc530
I started my teacher career with a great group of core people who helped my understand what teaching was really about ... the kids ... that has made all the difference #bfc530

Once I had to miss the last week of school for medical stuff. Everyone stepped in and made sure my kids had final grades, etc. I love it when schools have an "all hands on deck" attitude. I remain so grateful! I'll never forget it. #bfc530

About 10 yrs ago, had a health crisis that impacted everything. An in-class support teacher I worked w/supported me, helping me whenever she could, never complaining, always asking "What else can I do?" A kindness whose memory became engrained in my soul #bfc530
Over the years I have noticed just how many are not “happy” doing what they are doing ... focusing on the negative ... this attitude drags us all down #bfc530
In my early years as a Teacher, I taught 2 years in a remote school in a developing country. With a mix of volunteers, from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan&of course the Peace Corps mixed with the local Ts, it was hard not to learn heaps about teaching & yourself #bfc530

I am fortunate to have some great colleague's in my life! Lately they have been helping me by serving as sounding boards-helping me process & organize my thoughts. Sounds little but is actually pretty big to me!

I would say that my Twitter PLN keeps me going at least once a week. Every time I have ‘that’ moment, I open up the blue bird and get a dose of support and/or reminders of what my teaching should me ❤️❤️ #bfc530
Mine was the same. that woman I discussed just retired after working with me for over a decade. We made a great team, each of our strengths supported the other's weakness (although she had far less weaknesses than me). Miss her. #bfc530

A: All the time. I had a rough time my first year and was on an action plan. I had terrific and dedicated teachers who stuck by me and helped me through that first year. #bfc530
My first principal allowed me to build a computer lab and teach students about them before it was a “thing” in schools. Today I have a career because of that trust. I will be forever grateful she trusted me and gave me the opportunity. #bfc530

Two years ago, my school’s Admin allocation was changed & we went from a 3 person team to a 2 person team. It was really challenging & I’m forever grateful to my VP, support staff, Dept Heads & teachers for how they have stepped up to help & keep our school moving! ❤️ #bfc530

Recently, my coworker helped with my sub plans. It’s during those crucial emergencies where you’re trying to ensure your students are taken care of, but you or your household can’t function, I greatly appreciate them. #bfc530
I often feel supported by colleagues in various ways. Can be anything from encouraging email to offer to help..these gestures make a huge difference to not feeling alone in our roles. Recently @MsLamby was one of those who alleviated my stress by giving her time to help #bfc530
