The mission of #TynkerChat: Are we adequately preparing students for an unknown future? Can we, through community and sharing, make this unknown “known?” Let us lift up the conversation about making sure that when our students enter the workforce- they have the skills to thrive.
#TynkerChat will be held every Monday, starting March 13th.
Welcome to this week's #TynkerChat! Take a moment to view the hashtag here: https://t.co/5hTW19uZQ4
Get ready to share what you're doing/did and what you're looking forward to! Then tell us who you are and where you're from!
Thanks, Daniel, It was great turnout, in Charlotte, NC, National Science Teacher's Conference, discuss incorporating drones in the classroom and coding them with @gotynker#tynkerchat
Q2 Today I was lucky to be in a school that had a whole school assembly to kickoff #HourofCode. What do you do- or what would you like to see?

#tynkerchat A2: I didn't do anything very special. The menu choice got the Ss very excited and I had the Sec'y read the same announcement all week about importance of Coding.
I think that's why I believe #ComputationalThinking should be at the forefront of what we do with "coding"
...because it is a universal skill!!

A3: any video on @codeorg is inspirational. My students love watching their favorite athlete or musical artist talk about computer science #Tynkerchat#HourOfCode
Q4 Final Question for #TynkerChat tonight: Can we take a moment to share, like, RT, follow and support 10 educators on #HourofCode- right now? Let's pay it forward for a few minutes!
"We tend to think of creativity as a right-brain function, but the most creative thinkers and problem solvers can effectively engage both hemispheres." Look at all those lines of code created by our students so far! #tynker#hourofcode
