First determine what will hurt u most RB run , QB RUN or pass? Then determine how to take that away. Rotate the safety down to that player or strength , and play best coverage accordingly. #425chat
Yes I prefer that 3 and 2i. It allows the MLBS to only have to focus on beating a uncovered center on any runs. Both g’s are being hit by DTs makin it more difficult for them to get to LBs. C still has to snap then go. #425chat
Front: I think your WLB has to be stud. Asked to do many things and tied to the front end and back end. For the back end I'd say the Weak Safety. Has to be the hybrid of all hybrids. Boundary guys must be ballers. #425Chat
WS in the cut back player(to boundary) we call CoBRa player. Counter /cut back boot reverse action. Sam usually is to field. Sometimes field safety #425chat
Head up 2. Slant them to the gap you want. Like others have said it makes the center have to get the LB and also can confuse some OL on helping with the DT or straight to LB makes the overall box faster imo #425chat
We like a 1, I was a center, and I hated pressure by a good 1. forces dbl teams in most scheme's, easier for 1 to get hands on and not get reached. #425chat
Agree that safeties must be ready to come downhill and make the play. It is a lot different than a 3-4. Safeties (especially roll down) have to be ready to make the play at the line of scrimmage on outside runs and those are some of the best hits too! 👀 #425chat
We read the mesh through the OL for Run/Pass Key. If pass we key #2 as normal. If run we also play CBR and tell him it's "shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, go." Big key to us is keep Run fit leverage/tackle the hip you're on. #425Chat
Used to have strictly on # 2 however was slow to get to run at times so now it’s eyes on QB to EMOL end man on LOS. Then find #2 if in read or man #425chat
Yes, but toying with different things, all depends on personnel and ability. Got some good stuff from @CoachGower at the @GlazierClinics in Tulsa last year. #425chat

We can do a couple of things, first we love the CoBRA phrase, for our OLBs, in our 2 high, the WS will fill downhill when he reads run. The DE has to play strong and try and force the ball horizontal to get the WS there. #425chat

Solo is day 1 install. Will also play Macho (TCU Special), Cleo (Roll to C3), Rip/Liz 3 Match, Tango (Macho but FC play's 1/3s to help protect */Nickel. Lots of options. #425chat
I think the best install is where players learn what technique's match what coverage. If they know a few techniques you. An mix and match the techniques to manipulate the coverage however you see fit that week. That way it's not "new" but it is different/multiple. #425Chat
I’ve always felt a great DE was most important front 6 Great ones can play zone read both give and keep. They can pass rush. They can play on a TE. I think a great DE does so much more for a D than a GreAT DT #425chat

Mix man with pattern match vs trips side, basically it's the same call, and the call/ check can hide where you are locked and where you are matching, confuses the 17yr old QB #425chat
