    A2- clubs! Middle schoolers are always looking to be in the club/group/clique and you can use that for good. Once they feel like they're in on something special they're very loyal and work their butts off, and they will show tolerance for everyone else in the "club". #tlap

    A2: “Calling a spade a spade:” I think about the student who other teachers warned me about because of “behavior issues.” Turns out the S is advanced, and acts out when he’s bored 🤷🏼‍♀️ He’s the top S in my class, and now coaches other Ss. When we prejudge, we miss the magic. #tlap

    Most definitely! We use the book called The Positive Dog by Jon Gordon. It is the easiest read (that's how it kept the guys attention!) that could even go as far down as elementary school. Great book for males and females, my target audience was Sophomore males. #tlap

    A7- In our Greek Mythology class, the "Guardian of the Glen" quizzes kids on myths that share a theme. S/he rolls a die and whoever it lands in has to recount the myth or answer a question. Notes and "phone a friend" are allowed, but you can only be a phone friend once! #tlap
