A1: I keep an "encouragement" folder in my email where I put emails from Ts that tell me about things they are doing in class. I also keep a quotes board on Pinterest. Sounds trivial...but words matter! #txed

A2: as a T, you get to be a mom, dad, coach, friend, counselor, therapist (as one of my Ss calls me), cheerleader,etc. you get to be the one there when amazing things happen! We can’t take that for granted! On rough days, I shut my door and just hang out with my kids. #txed

I want to become a teacher. One of my earlier reasons was to inspire, educate, promote reading and writing, and be with kids. But as I continue to learn and grow in my course, I realise the one thing that'll get me through the toughest days, is because I want to learn.
On a difficult day I like to find a positive thing each day, in my students, at my school, in my life. Also I like to make positive phone calls home, it lightens up my when I hear the pride in their parent’s voice. #txed#WeAreSalyards

I just listen to them. I can tell when they need my ear and I give it to them. They are little and sometimes feel big things and don’t know how to deal with it. #txed
A4 What a perfect week to talk and think about this! When kids are down, I give them a smile, hug, listening ear, space, whatever they need. I open the door by asking how they are or provide and I notice statement and let them lead the conversation from there. #txed

A trip to the “new book cart” is a treat for lots of Ss that need a pick me up. Sometimes I’ll hand them a new book and tell them why I was thinking of them specifically! I also have to brag about my campus, the staff is great at writing notes to lift student spirits! #txed
A4 Or, after 2 long days of testing, today at the end of the day, I taught them how to make origami balloons. Because who doesn’t love the process of origami and balloons?!😍 #txed
Just listen. Listen to everything they have to say. Just like I would want others to listen to what I have to say when I'm having a bad day, I would want to do the same for the students. #txed
#txed Passion is the best reason to insist on something. I was not a teacher have passion on teaching. But when I see my kids' happy face, they give me the passion to do my teaching and overcoming the rainy days. #txed

A4: Be There. It's not just about the learning. It is more about the connections. You have to be there for the good times and the bad. Probably more so for the bad. Love 'em. #txed
A4-Sometimes just ask them about something in their life other than school. Ask them about their baseball game, what they did or will do this weekend, what books are they reading, what is their favorite video game. Let them see that you have a interest in them. #TXed

A4: Last year my 3rd graders were really stressed & a few had difficulties at home. We moved all the furniture, laid out blankets & mats, chopped up a few cucumbers for our eyes, & had a “Spa Day.” It lasted about 35 mins but it made all of us calm, happy, & ready to learn. #txed
