#ETCoaches
A1: At my school, I have been working with educators both 1:1 and by putting together some special events like this one in the picture I posted. Educators were able to select between different sessions - 3D design (pictured here), App Design, and Digital Media Design. #ETCoaches
Hi #ETCoaches Elizabeth from Chattanooga, technology integration, I am looking forward to #ATLIS in April! A1 We had a 2-day InService with technology and teacher-led sessions with teacher choice.
Q2: What are some activities that you have had educators participate in to help them understand how to participate responsibly in the digital world? #ETCoaches
Q2: What are some activities that you have had educators participate in to help them understand how to participate responsibly in the digital world? #ETCoaches
A2: Great resources through @CommonSenseMedia, @seesaw, @GoogleEDU & our LMS. I've created Seesaw PD groups/LMS Groups to give Ts an opportunity to experience 1st hand what it is like to participate in online discussions & manage their own communication practices. #ETCoaches
A1: As a teacher, I don’t have much time to do much PD with other teachers, but I share new ideas and ways to change up the tech we use in the classroom. #ETCoaches

A1: Our district provides 2 half-day in-services in which teachers can choose from a variety of sessions or request what they want to learn about. I led a session on using Twitter for PD! #ETCoaches

Krista, I can send them directly to you - or at least try
Q1: What Professional Development have you provided to give educators the experience of driving their own learning? #ETCoaches
Q3: What are some ways that you encourage/help educators you work with to collaborate with colleagues/students to improve their practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems? What needs to be in place for this to be effective? #ETCoaches
Hi! Traci Stubenrauch, K-4 Innovative Instructional Coach at Loveland City Schools, OH. Looking forward to going to the ISTE Conference in Chicago for the first time! #ETCoaches
Q2: What are some activities that you have had educators participate in to help them understand how to participate responsibly in the digital world? #ETCoaches
A10. The standard of 'Knowledge Constructor' meets all parts of the Triple E framework by co-using technology to analyze & evaluate information as well as construct knowledge around real-world problems and make connections.#ETCoaches
Q3: What are some ways that you encourage/help educators you work with to collaborate with colleagues/students to improve their practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems? What needs to be in place for this to be effective? #ETCoaches
A3 PLCs are amazing when used effectively - we work together every day and share ideas and suggestions. Honestly, something as simple as location helps this be effective- we're all teacher neighbors and can chat in the hall between classes #ETCoaches
A3: I find the more we give educators the time & encouragement they will take advantage to ideate & create! Which makes me think of another resource - Design Thinking for Educators! Be sure to check out IDEO: hhttps://www.ideo.com/tools & https://t.co/otDHhNkKLh#ETCoaches
A3 Still working on this one. Last summer we hosted a #HyperDrivED Institute built on collaboration & Lesson Planning-used some Jigsaw grouping -they didn't get everything if they didn't collaborate - Pilot group of 40 -Positive Feedback -Planning another this summer #ETCoaches

Yes! Time! Paperwork to force teachers into collaboration just takes up time that teachers could have spent actually meaningfully collaborating. #ETCoaches
A3: Give Ts the opportunity to do so! Use @BreakoutEDU sessions to get them started collaborating, sharing, & problem solving naturally together. Then have them create their own!

A1: Our team of Innovative Instructional Coaches created menu boards of learning challenges for a recent PD day for Ts to choose areas they want to work on in deepening knowledge of G-Suite apps & other tech resources & connecting w/learning goals. #ETCoaches

Q4: Do you have educators facilitate Professional Learning/Professional Development sessions? If yes, how do you guide them through the process? If not, how would you guide them through the process? #ETCoaches

A3: Another awesome resource developed by a collaboration between Apple Distinguished Educators from around the world is The Joy of Professional Learning Series https://t.co/bLpXipDtzb
If you haven't found this yet, be sure to check it out! @joyofpl#ETCoaches
A4: Yes, we do this. We offer a pre-session on tips for presenting, we use the train-the-trainer model, and we partner them up with other teachers for team presentations #ETCoaches
A4 As an educator who has facilitated very short PD (more of a training really) sessions, I can say that we need support and clear expectations, but also freedom. It's a balance #ETCoaches
A4: The ASCD article at https://t.co/dKWEqYN90A discusses ways to get Ts to engage other Ts. We have regular PLC meetings & time set aside during staff meetings for Ts to lead Ts. #ETCoaches
A4: Ts all have great things to share, & we can learn so much from one another if given the opportunity. We also have been looking into the ways that we can better share resources electronically through our existing tools of GSuite, LMS, and Apple products. #ETCoaches
A4: We have one tech coach for whole district (that’s @shoemap) so we share as Ts & lead each other. As a tech leader in my school, I rely on PLN to help me grow beyond what I get from Pam. The #DitchBook crew is one example of Ts leading Ts I follow and learn from. #ETCoaches
#ETCoaches A4 Yes, we have. Planning session to design learning goals and cre8 @GoogleForEdu Slides to collaborate on content, be sure all on same page and provide baseline for learning.
Q4: Do you have educators facilitate Professional Learning/Professional Development sessions? If yes, how do you guide them through the process? If not, how would you guide them through the process? #ETCoaches
A2: 🤔 this question made me think. We spend so much time focusing on teaching Ss what it means to be digital citizens & responsible but what about Ts? If we want our Ss to be responsible in using digital tools, Ts need to do the same. Lead by example. #ETCoaches
A4: Yes! During inservice teachers present on classroom experiences they are excited about, and we have Tech Hangouts after school where they bring ideas to discuss. Plans to add YouTube live for those who can’t attend. #ETCoaches
Q4: Do you have educators facilitate Professional Learning/Professional Development sessions? If yes, how do you guide them through the process? If not, how would you guide them through the process? #ETCoaches
A3: We have a cohort of teachers who meet with me to learn, collaborate, and share resources. They extend that to their grade level colleagues. Admin support allows for this to be effective. #ETCoaches
Q5: How do you foster a culture where educators take ownership of their learning goals & outcomes both with individual & group settings? And…how do you help them then transfer this to the classroom setting for students to take ownership? #ETCoaches

Q5: How do you foster a culture where educators take ownership of their learning goals & outcomes both with individual & group settings? And…how do you help them then transfer this to the classroom setting for students to take ownership? #ETCoaches 15 minutes left of our chat!
A4: We encourage educators to facilitate PD sessions during our district in-services. They aren't necessarily guided, but learn how through participating in PD themselves. #ETCoaches
A5 We are piloting badging for this. We don't care HOW you learned it! We care that you know it (Level 1) and Use it with Ss (Level 2) - Innovators and trainers can even move to Level 3. We display badges digitally AND on banners outside of classrooms #ETCoaches

A5: This can be challenging, but encourages Ts to set goals, to look at different resources that match their learning styles, & take time to reflect on their practice. I help them connect this to Independent Performance Tasks that they can do with their Ss.
#ETCoaches
A4. #ETCoaches Yes, we do use educators to facilitate Professional Development. We provide guidance through district provided slides and a script to act as a guide.
A5 #ETCoaches Invite inquiry? What do you notice? What do you wonder? How could this work with Ss? Adopt the #growthmindset and be a #risktaker If it fails, get up and try again
A5: I have also had Ts complete SWOT Analyses to help them identify where they want to focus their energies. These can work well in the classroom for Ss project work as well. I adapted questions from the following site: https://t.co/Xr6xDgAomn#ETCoaches
#A5#ETCoaches I think you’re right, in that this is a culture. So, starting with the selection process, and being clear on organizational goals, mission, expectations are important.
A5: You trust in them and you allow them to “do their thing”!! Teachers know what will/won’t work and can tweak to make things happen in their classroom. #ETCoaches
A3: Something I’m continually working on. Listening to T feedback is critical to best support their needs. Differentiating resources & learning to provide opportunities & entry points for ALL levels - just like we want for Ss. Developing relationships & trust is 🔑 #ETCoaches
A6 We've JUST started using #flipgrid for this - A new model is part of our 5yr Strategic Plan - we add a "workshop" session in PD, then visit w/ them to see how it went & if they've applied to other areas-offer support #ETCoaches
A5. We have done some badging and a district incentives with some large skill training opportunities, but mandating such training creates compliance in the activity but not bringing the training to the classroom. #ETCoaches
A6: There are numerous ways that I have gotten educators reflecting using technology - great tools for this purpose that I have used with educators: @Seesaw, @Flipgrid, @Tumblr or other Blogging sites, @LinkedIN, or apps like @SlackHQ and @Voxer.
#ETCoaches
#edtech
Q10: . Through the triple E Framework : Engage ,Enhance Extend, there are strong connections between the use of technology and students collaborating to become empowered learners by connecting and personalizing learning experiences. #ETcoaches
A6 #ETCoaches It seems like a missing element #time to #reflect always disappearing like sands in the hour glass -I need to get better at making time for this
(I do this as a coach but not with Ts)
A4: THIS is the goal! Getting Ts to see they have a lot to share & offer to their colleagues’ growth & learning - that they too are experts and we can learn from one another. #ETCoaches
A6 #ETCoaches Experienced using @Seesaw at a conference and thought a fun way to extend learning & provide opportunity for reflection. Also used GForms for feedback and provoke thoughts.
A6: For my district, our evaluation is completely online and there are reflective pieces in that. Beyond the “required piece”, we have a district Twitter chat a couple of times a month for us to share and reflect on our teaching and learning of tech. #ETCoaches
A6: Some have also felt comfortable enough to use Google Calendar, Google Sites, or for a more private approach Notes on Mac (could also do with Evernote or other types of tools in the cloud as well). #ETCoaches
