A1: Expressing gratitude through actions and words goes light years in building genuine relationships! Having a gracious attitude brings joy to your heart and the hearts of those you encounter! #Admin2b
A1) Express gratitude early and often. Education is hard, so thanking people when they go out of their way to do something for someone else is so important in building culture. #admin2b
Q1: Something small goes far..Send a handwritten note of something specific that makes them stand out. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or fancy, just a nice way to show them you appreciate that they are making a difference in the lives of others. #EDA655#Admin2b
A1 All. The. Time. The teachers students and staff always do stuff to help or make things successful. I was working just this afternoon with some great teachers on a project! #admin2b
A1) Daily in a variety of settings. Sharing gratitude starts with a conversation. Could also include gestures such as covering a class or a duty. #admin2b
A2 Having a positive gratitude to lead others in a encouraging path is everything. Its about bringing positivity all together to make a GREAT change happen. #Admin2b
A2: any leader should appreciate the unique special qualities in the people they lead, & make an effort to highlight them often :) just a simple “thank you for....” can really make a difference! #Admin2b
A1: as an administrator you have to express gratitude in the little everyday moments too. That small acknowledgement can be just the encouragement someone needs to make their day and keep going. Teaching is hard and we need to support each other. #Admin2B
A1: always express it! Through email, text, a card, verbally, a pat on the back or a high 5. So many ways... 5 Languages of Appreciation by Gary Chapman covers this. #Admin2b
A2) I think that you should always be grateful as a leader. Any manager can manage, but a leader has many more skills, gratitude being a big one. #admin2b
A2: If your teachers do not perceive that you appreciate their efforts, it can be hard to motivate them. You set the tone for the school. When you express gratitude for your teachers, the wealth is spread to the students. #admin2b
A1 Admins should always express gratitude. It promotes a positive and collaborative work environment aiding and supporting the establishment of a rocking school culture. Not to mention, relationships are very important & gratitude can help strengthen them. #Admin2b
A2) Gratitude demonstrates to all that leaders understand it takes a TEAM to educate Ss. All staff matter and all positive actions are appreciated even those we don't observe. #Admin2b
A2 Leaders are the source of the school culture and climate. Gratitude must begin at the top and so it will flow through the whole of the school. First to thank always! #admin2b
A2 Gratitude should be expressed in conversations and in writing and in any other ways one can imagine. And it should happen on a regular basis with staff and students. #Admin2b
A1: Gratitude can be shown daily in the way we interact with people each another, and to be honest, it can be done by modeling the behavior support and encouragement we ask teachers to display in their classrooms. #admin2b
A1 - Find out how the people you serve prefer to be recognized. I think this is key. I think the suggestions made by Jodie show the many ways one can show gratitude. @jodiepierpoint#Admin2B
A1: I do it sporadically throughout the school year. It may be lunch or another meal. I have done a dress casual/jean day. It may be an email blast to say thank you. #admin2b
A2 Gratitude and Effective Leadership go hand in hand. When people feel acknowledged and appreciated they are more likely to put passion into their work and push themselves to do great things. #Admin2B
A2: Demonstrating gratitude through actions sets the tone and provides a model for how we want our staff to treat our students, their colleagues, and members of our community. #admin2b
A2) Showing appreciation for others and expressing gratitude is key in leadership. It shows you appreciate the efforts of others and it builds culture. No one wants to be in a building where there efforts go unnoticed. Not only bad leadership, but its rude to do that. #admin2b
A2) Gratitude is apart of great leadership! No one wants to work for or with a person that does not value what they do. It presents the perception that they are not important to the team. #admin2b
A2: Gratitude is a powerful tool to improve leadership! Gratitude can be faked, however a good leader has the buy in of its team and they trust him/her. A leader who can genuinely show appreciation is trusted by his/her team. #EDA655#Admin2b
A2) Leaders use gratitude to inspire others, by adding the ability to express gratitude to your team as a leader will have positive impacts within your school, and for you personally as a leader #makesyoufeelgood#admin2b
A2: Leaders who show graciousness, have an attitude of gratitude and appreciation, build genuine connections. They show authentic caring and that is leadership at it’s best! #Admin2b
A1: We could never thank those around us enough! A simple word, hand-written note, email, public thank you at a staff meeting or school event. The opportunities for practice abound. #admin2b
A3:. Expressing thankfulness , appreciation, & gratitude goes hand in hand with building a positive sense of community/school culture. Gratitude can really help even in the most stressful situations. #Admin2b
A3. An 'attitude of gratitude' impacts any community by encouraging and fostering more gratitude to the point that it becomes the expectation instead of the exception #Admin2b
A2: Leadership and gratitude are connected bc as a leader, you have the opportunity to look at the school from all angles and know so many situations, positive and negative. Having a grateful heart helps you see the positive in each situation you approach. #admin2b
A3 Impact of changing lives for the better. An impact of a positive learning environment where students learn the importance of working as a TEAM, to show each other that nobody is alone. There is always some1 willing to help. #Admin2b
A3: Expressed gratitude creates a domino effect. Make people happy and they will in turn make others happy. It is hard to stay negative in an environment where people are showing each other appreciation and kindness. #Admin2b
A3: Having a gracious attitude brightens the day of those you share your time with, it builds community, trust, cohesiveness and a positive culture! #Admin2b
A2. When you are with your team and grateful for all that you get from them, show that the opportunity given to you all to work together is something youre grateful for.... helps all members to be part of you .. #Admin2b
A3: A positive attitude is more conducive to gratitude because positivity breeds openness, and when you’re open, you’re more likely to see the contribution of others. #admin2b
A3) The more people learn and see that you are grateful for them and others, the more willing they are to help, in any number of ways. And this will bring even more on board. #admin2b
A3: an attitude of gratitude permeates a schools environment it makes people not only feel happier but valued. This then spills over into the atmospheres of classrooms and strengthens relationships with T and Ss. #Admin2B
A2 Showing gratitude is an essential component of trust. Good leaders are individuals who cultivate an environment of trust through actions. showing gratitude => grows trust => promotes risk taking => builds/promotes self efficacy. #Admin2b
A3) Utilizing gratitude, I am able to model one of the most important lessons in life, having a positive attitude, especially about the aspects of life that challenge me #admin2b
A3: Creating a culture that values gratitude will lead to more investment in the school’s mission by staff, parents, and members of the community. #admin2b
A3. A caring sharing and an open workspace gets created where everyone brings in a positivity ....everyone contributes happily and is grateful for the opportunities ....#Admin2b
A3) This Q speaks to one of my core beliefs: there are few things more powerful in relationship building than a hand written thank you note. Showing gratitude&appreciation for others builds a sense of camaraderie&is an admission that leaders can't do it all on their own #admin2b
A2: leaders set the pace for the staff. If leaders are not grateful how can they expect the staff to be? As leaders, we must model and nurture what we expect and desire to see in our schools #admin2b
A3) Staff that feel valued try to reach the next level. Teachers that feel valued produce more which mean students are receiving top tier education! #admin2b
A3: I think attitude makes a big difference and I have learned that we always need to be aware of our words and action. An unintentional scowl, negative comment or action lasts longer than a positive action. Always be kind and grateful. #Admin2b
A4. With a sense of gratitude, I will create and expect a high level of giving and receiving gratitude among my peers, co-workers, and leaders. #Admin2b
Q4: I will write 3 gratitudes daily and express those gratitudes directly to those individuals that have impacted my life and the lives of our Ss. #Admin2b
A3 An attitude of gratitude allows for the staff to feel appreciated. In my opinion, this makes a huge difference. Happy staff will happily work to create, implement, and meet goals that support the building’s mission. #Admin2b
A4: With a sense of gratitude I will be kind, thoughtful, and thankful for those I work with. And I will appreciate the many blessings in my life. #admin2b
A4 With a sense of gratitude, I will ensure positivity and make students believe in themselves so they can grow to become incredible role model for others. #Admin2b
