Hello, I'm Bridger and I'm a student at William Woods University in Fulton MO. I'm majoring in Physical Education and i also coach soccer at Fulton high school. This will be my first Ed chat. #moedchat
A1: Gratitude to me is being thankful and knowing when to appreciate what people do for you. When teachers take the time to help you and steer you in the right direction it is a sign that they care. Showing that you care has a positive effect on students. #moedchat
Definitely agree with you! Gratitude is an attitude! You must choose to be thankful for the opportunity to have a positive effect on our future innovators & leader each and every day! #MOedchat
A1: Gratitude is that one positive above all that yields sincerity and respect. It is a winner for anyone. It is conscious awareness of being blessed. #MOedchat
No, lounging on my couch, but the point is I still have a nice button up shirt on, only because the fury of two small children and the pets prevented me from changing… Really, I’m just lazy. #moedchat
A1: @brittmorg95 - Former S, soon-to-be teacher, inspiring, passionate learner & just a huge heart. Can't wait to hear how her first year will go! #missyourface#sstlap#moedchat
A2 It's such a simple way to make someone's day. Just say something nice or give a quick shout out. No one feels bad after getting a compliment -- even for something small. #moedchat
A2- Honestly, I always have difficultly responding to others gratitude. I definitely appreciate it, but always feel that I am just doing my job. #MOedchat
You are the frontline and that is the downside of your job; however your staff and students are grateful for what you do every day to support the learning environment! #MOedchat
A2 being acknowledged for effort and achievement always makes one's heart warm and insides smile... leaves you wanting to do more, so that awesome feeling never ends.
#MOedchat
When someone expresses gratitude to me I feel as if I'm being a positive moment in their lives. I did something that they see as a valuable moment, so valuable that they feel the need to thank me. Feels good. #moedchat
That's the thing -- everyone wants to whine and complain. That only makes everyone feel worse. It would be great if people understand how impactful positivity and enthusiasm were. #moedchat

The best leaders know how motivating compliments and gratitude are. People will do more (and they'll want to do it!) for you if they know they are appreciated. #moedchat
SO to @canwarren73@joshchoward@BethHouf for the trip to Fulton Middle School. Along with the PB van crew! It was a welcoming school with warmth & ideas from window to window. #MOedchat
A3 Being giving of yourself. Servant Leadership. Make it clear that you are in the classroom for the Ss, first and foremost. Never make your job seem like something that causes resentment. That's toxic. #moedchat
A3: By always being there for them, supporting them even when it is not school work. Not slouching on my own work and giving them 110% of my effort, because I expect them to do the same for themselves and for my class. Word of encouragement go a long way. #moedchat
A3: Spotlight successes and the courage to try new things (even if they fail) in newsletters, emails, morning and afternoon announcements, during classes/meetings/trainings, over social media. #moedchat
A3: I say TY for just about anything with my students. And with kids, I ALWAYS admit when I am in the wrong and apologize. With adults, I make it a practice as well. I mention that gratitude is a big part of my day. #MOedchat
SHOUT OUT: I have to shout out my "Ed Tech" instructor @JosephDavisEDU . Starting his class I was a simple "no phones in class" teacher. He has opened my eyes and has made me a little more accepting of technology. Even in PE. #moedchat

A4 The struggle is real when I'm hit with a large to do list, discipline issue, and no time to stop and appreciate the awesomeness around me. #moedchat
A4 I look back to when my family and I were down and out, remember that anyone can be going through anything, that makes me appreciate that I have challenges I can handle #paradigmshift#MOedchat
SO to @canwarren73 for that push when the towel was considered and said be you. And to my first ever principal who knew how to handle a huge flaw of mine, SO to all teachers who make me want to be better. #MOedchat
A4: Flash back to my soccer playing days. I received the MVP award for my high school team. I accepted and said my thank you's but I didn't really show any gratitude to my fellow players. They voted, and showed me that they truly cared about my contribution to the team #moedchat
SUPER BIG shout-out to the 43 people on the @METCedplus Committee(s) who volunteer their time, talent and treasure to advocate, teach and support ALL learners! #MOedchat

A5 Grateful the opportunity to work at the intersection of my experience, education, & passion. LOVE my job, the Ss, and people I work with everyday. #moedchat
A4: During times of personal hardships, generally loss of loved ones, but my kids have always helped me get through. My worst 6 days, have inspired me to be grateful for all the tiny when the large seems to suck. #MOedchat
A5: I am grateful to be an American, God blessing me with two legs to be able to play, as well as coach, the beautiful game we call soccer, and my two loving and supportive parents who were always my #1 fans especially my mother. #moedchat
A5- Definitely a lot! My family, my daily opportunities to positively effect the lives of our teachers and students within our region each and every day! #MOedchat
A4 I'm kind of a one man department and sometimes what I do can get overlooked. That can be frustrating. I still have an amazing job and do something I love every day. I choose to be grateful. #moedchat
SHOUTOUT: To Ts who work tirelessly to be the best they can be; always in Ss corner encouraging, pushing, inspiring & caring. #moedchat#YouKnowWhoYouAre
A5 Unbelievably grateful for the professional position I am in and that others trust me to experiment and try new things. AND they trust me to teach those things to others. #moedchat

A6: Shoutout to @FoxC6Super and every employee of the @FoxC6Schools who continue to teach with Love, Service and Care each day. They are making a difference in Ss lives. #moedchat
SO to resilient students. They remind me that my efforts are worth every minute. and to my husband and son who tolerate me when I grade essays. It's a task sometimes! #MOedchat
A6: I will not take seeing all my family this Thanksgiving for granted. I will demonstrate gratitude and be thankful for being able to have such an amazing family. You have to appreciate the little things in life and be positive. #moedchat
It is a great way to show gratitude! I did this at my previous school. Wouldn't even sign them sometimes. though my handwriting usually gave them away. #MOedchat
Can't imagine you ever being overlooked, but I get it. We don't have 'partners' and we're not homeroom teachers, plus few in the building understand how to do what we do, thus don't understand the time involved in many of our tasks. I choose to be grateful, too! #moedchat
