A1: Creativity is fun and engaging for both teacher and student! It stimulates the experiences our students learn from best.
A1: Creativity opens the door to curiosity, thinking, reasoning, processing, and other higher level skills. It's vital to ECE dev.
A1: Seems like kiddos would rebel quite quickly if they were not allowed to create
Amazing! Welcome to https://t.co/UCOg2s7g9H

Hello ! I’m a kindergarten teacher joining from Idaho. I’m hoping to learn a lot from all of you tonight!
A1: creativity in an EC classroom teaches kids that they are enough. Their points of view are valuable. They can contribute!
A1-Letting them create builds another level of understanding in their learning. It also gives it value.
A1. Creativity is also the point when my Ss are most vulernable! It's a very special time!
You go girl! https://t.co/KW4U1PfPrC

RT Q2: In what ways can can be used for creating/creativity in a classroom?
. A1. Creativity drives my instructional practices. The kids love to be creative and so do I!
A1: I think that creativity/creating is the natural state of young children. Sometimes we just need to get out of the way.
Creativity is creating something new & valuable. Encouraging it with our youngest learners = exciting, valuable, & lasting learning
It also tells them you value what they have to say or do. Gives them ownership, which breeds pride and higher self confidence
A1: purpose depends on your curriculum view: social activism? classic truths? citizen prep? All of these scream for creativity
A1: creativity in the early Ed class allows students to express themselves and learn in a fun way!
A1: Importance? The brain craves 4 creativity. The heart loves the result.
Q2 It motivates students to learn and apply their knowledge

A2 Just digital pictures - that’s all you need to create tons of authentic, culturally/linguistically responsive materials!
A2 when creating storyboard or stories children can use drawing apps esp if writing skills are still emerging
A2-They become very proud by showing all they know and it motivates them to do more.
This is a great A2! I love that creativity can help foster confidence, voice & choice, self worth https://t.co/QNm4x93CLW

A2. allows for voice & choice, both which are critical in the creative process. It doesn't place confines on Ss.
A2 throw out all those counting books, replace w/ class made books using photos of school, neighborhood, students, families!
A2: I find is already a creative outlet for human beings. For students it provides alternate methods of creative expression
A2 Because when you create things yourself - you can add any language you need and get the families involved too!
Motivating Ss is key, as well as celebrating their curiosity & creativity!
A2: allows for more variety in creativity and can help students express & share their creativity to a wider global audience
and honestly I LEARN way more from them with then they do from me.
A2: Open ended tech experiences/apps that allow Ss to use their creativity such as Animoto
A2 - Give Ss a choice of apps to use on their device to show what they know.
Yes pictures are so meaningful to Ss. It allows for ownership.
