I'm Derek, current #EdTech Dir at @sedck12 and future Library Media Coordinator at Tonaquint Intermediate School in @washk12. We have lots of last days for #sedck12 schools. #UTedChat
A1 - Honestly just getting into and being a part of @ucet and #utedchat have allowed me to expand my networks, get a lot of ideas, and feel like I have a group of people to bounce ideas off of when I need to.
A1 My fav tool wasn't shared specifically in a chat but I'm loving @Wakelet which has become our new archival tool since the demise of Storify. If you were using Storify, give Wakelet a try because it works great! #UTedChat
Hi Utah. A1: I want to say my electric cooking tools but I don't think you're looking for that, so, VR. Google Expeditions VR and Merge Cube. #UTedchat
A1: I have absolutely LOVED @Flipgrid and share it every chance I get. Students and teachers can both benefit from the features. Even my principal has started using it for faculty reflections! #flipgridfever#UTedChat
Chris here , media specialist @sedck12#UTedChat My summer started yesterday after my last "contract day" spent at a High School Career day. But I still have much to do! ;)
I love it too! Such a fantastic tool for engagement and kids fight me on recording and then they love doing it. Going to use it way more often next year. #utedchat
Electric cooking tools are great! Bust some great #ARVRinEdu is also awesome. Do you follow the amazing @JaimeDonally for more tips in that area? #UTedChat
Taking time for yourself is HUGE! We need to remember our own Well Being once in a while. And @KyleLHoopes is gonna discuss that more in 2 weeks, so be sure to join in then as well. #UTedChat
A2 - #Utedchat has reminded me, weekly to engage beyond my school and district to see what else is out there and bring it back to my school. Looking at school security, podcasting, and so many other topics has consistently pushed me to engage more deeply with the Utah community.
So I can't find the Intro Question or Question 1...but I teach Secondary Social Studies. Graduation is this Friday.
A1: I figured out how to use https://t.co/ZPrUPffqIj this year. I upped my @CANVAS game & learned how to use 360 VR videos too. #UTEdchat
A2: My best ideas have been spurred by our conversation re: Student Data Privacy So many great ideas here that got me thinking and talking to teachers #UTedChat
A2 #UTedChat had been a great learning tool for me. I'm fairly new to Twitter, and chats were unheard of before last fall. So grateful to be here learning from you all and expanding my PLN.
A2: SO MANY GREAT IDEAS! I was lucky to connect with @KBeddes in person at the @ucet#Youcet conference to talk Proficiency Based Grading in Social Studies because of #UTEdchat. Super helpful!
Not to jump on your heels, @covili, but I am helping to run an #Edcamp on June 1st at Weber State - It is ELA specific but all backgrounds are welcome - More info here - https://t.co/TC75V6Kb9a#utedchat
I feel like we're missing a couple of our regulars tonight for #UTedChat. Hopefully they're okay and will be able to check out the @Wakelet afterwards.
@HowardKiyuna This is so cool. You should make a tutorial lesson on how you do this with your students for the non-beat makers in the world. I would love to include making raps in my ELA curriculum. #utedchat

A3- Nothing specific, but it has been great to be a part of a great diverse group that have their own jokes and ideas connecting them together online. I cannot wait for the Tweet Meet-Up at @ucet next year. #utedchat
My Teacher's Assistant (BA in applied bioliogy from UC Berkeley) is a pop musian as well. I bought him (the class) a midi keyboard and he went for it. #UTedchat

Hey, #utedchat! Just a reminder that this year's Brain Blast is open to all Utah educators. It features two days of tech based PD for $35 on August 8-9. We would love to have everyone there! Register here - https://t.co/bBzVNqKDhE
A3 - A favorite video clip - talks about innovation, taking risks, learning from mistakes/celebrating failure/growth mindset/grit #UTedChathttps://t.co/HzuKB2CtYc
It will be great time! We have Google Education Representative @jcasap as our keynote and tons of teacher led PD on 3D printing, Canvas, Google for Education, @SpheroEdu, and more. #Utedchat
Thats too bad. @TeacherWinters is running a workshop on recording podcasts in the classroom and recording a live episode of @EdTrexPD Rewind. #utedchat

A4 - I may be overly fond of it, but running the podcast session a month ago was an amazing experience and I hope everyone got a lot out of it. Excited to explore all the topics next year as well. #utedchat
A4 The topic isn't a pleasant one, but the chat on school safety made me think.
I really liked hearing about new tech tools, so I have some new ideas to try. #UTedChat
A4: well, of course I enjoyed the week I was hosting on teaching under the influence of awesomeness... but I really enjoy all of them! Always great interaction and sharing ideas! #UTedChat
A4 For me, I always know that I am going to get something new and different with topics and mods. Such a powerful way of pulling me from the comfortable and into a place to be reflective and grow #UTedChat
I'm trying to remember if I even moderated any this year. I know I did a few in the summer, but I enjoyed learning from everyone else this year. #UTedChat
I would love to moderate again. It was such a great experience and really set me up for a great understanding of how these chats work. Keep me in mind. #utedchat
Q5 I would list the #UTedChat community up against any other amazing #PLN as one of the best around. Who specifically in #UTedChat has been inspirational for you this year?
A4: I loved the Teacher Leadership chat too - it was especially powerful because of all the Policy Maker guests we invited to listen in who came! And I won't lie - I thought the #SchoolSafety chat was important. Even moderating, I came away with some great new ideas. #UTEdchat
I don't think you did any this school year, but you def helped me out last Summer. Maybe I'll have to recruit you for another Summer Fun topic? #UTedChat#DynamicDuo
I also moderated #4thchat not too long ago too. There was a good 2-3 years where I moderated a chat almost every single week by myself. Luckily, I had a few awesome people cover for me at times. #UTedChat
A5 - He is not on tonight but @qhenderson has been an inspiration to me this year and I am so happy that he introduced me to #utedchat. The @HSG_UT fellows have been so great to talk to as well. We have so many quietly (and not so quietly) awesome teachers in #Utah.
A5: I love all my #UTEdchat peeps! I never would have met most of you without it. So good to know @anderbrooke for data discussions and @JaimeDonally (by extension) for #ARVRinEDU conversations and folks like @KrystleBassett and @KBeddes I'd never know otherwise. You guys rock!
Q5 I would list the #UTedChat community up against any other amazing #PLN as one of the best around. Who specifically in #UTedChat has been inspirational for you this year?
All of @HSG_UT and @tabitha_pacheco as well as the USBE Digital Teaching and Learning peeps, @YoungUTed kept me busy and I loved it. I certainly stepped out of my comfort zone this year and was given a lot of opportunities to lead and grow. #UTedChat

A5 Wow, where do I even start with this one? I know I wrote it, but dang, it's a hard one to answer! I don't think I have enough space, even WITH the extra space we get now. #UTedChat
A5: I can’t decide if @downrightdave Dave is inspirational or just plain crazy 😂 but he does so much for his students, his district, and education in Utah. I don’t know when he sleeps... oh wait, he doesn’t. He does midnight karaoke instead 🎤 #UTedChat
The @ucet board always inspires me and just during the actual conference, edcamps, and #utedchat each week. They have been very supportive of me for years and I wouldn't be where I am without all of them.
A5 My most inspirational have been the newbies we see each chat. It is so inspiring to see people take time to develop their craft and try something new. Encourages me to keep those teachers in mind as I train, never count a teacher out. #UTedChat
I agree with you on that one Justin. The newbies to #UTedChat are amazing because they're willing to try something new and see what's up! I love watching teachers become students again.
A5: I have to say @misteralvord, because he introduced me to this group. I love the support I feel from everyone I have met this year through #utedchat. I am #addicted2edchat
A5: I also greatly admire @DaniKSloan - she came to my school to share @UENpd resources with our teachers and she was awesome! She has so much energy AND serves as the @ucet president too. #girlpower#UTedChat

I just want to make a quick announcement, #UTedChat will not take ALL Summer off, in fact it will have at least 2 chats each month. So make sure you check in occasionally so you don't miss any of the fun (craziness)!
Amen to that! The @HSG_UT crew is powerful. Motivating. Empowering. So many good things happening there! I just didn't meet the Fellowship on #UTEdchat. It's what brought me to the chat!

#UTEdchat Invited to join in earlier this year, I've made only a couple conversations. I retired a couple years ago and am absolutely awed at the talking points and ideas from you all.
A6: Saturday is my mom's 70th. I'm trying to get a party together. We've battling lung cancer together and it's been a rough year. Hoping to get the family together. #utedchat
Thanks to all of you for making #utedchat so special this year. I love that our little PLN keeps growing stronger! Can’t wait to see you all this Fall (and maybe a couple times this Summer).
Yes, make sure you're subscribed to the #UTedChat@RemindHQ list and you'll get them prior to the chats. I'll also send reminders of when we won't be having chats.
We go to he park every year with a bunch of friends. Pot luck BBQ, volleyball. I bring either hot dogs or my 7 Pepper Chicken. I just cook or sit all day. #utedchat
A6: If you really want to do it right, check out this list of events and go to one: https://t.co/IgcMSAq33j Often times I think we get caught up in the day off and treat it like an extra Saturday. Family time is good, but we ought to take time to remember too. #UTEdchat
