#NVedchat is dedicated to increasing communication and collaboration of education related topics in the State of Nevada. Originally, created by Mr. Snehal Bhakta.
A1- I love telling S thanks when they do stuff they think noone notices, pick up trash, someones dropped books, borrow pencil, normal good human stuff #nvedchat
A1: I try to say “thank you” at least once a class period of any reason I can find. Sometimes Ss don’t feel appreciated at any point in the day. Gotta share the ❤️ #NVedchat
A1: I have never had any students but I have been a camp counselor. The days always were so much easier when I thanked a kid even for the smallest thing. It really goes a long way. That was last summer. #NVedchat
R2: I think that if you show respect and appreciation to Ss, their effort will only increase. It takes a simple “thank you” to be motivation to a S. #NVedchat
A2: I give my high school kids scratch and sniff stickers for a job well done. Believe it or not, they fight to get those! #NVedchat#scratchandsnifffever
A2-Sometimes giving thanks can cause Ss to be happy with were they are in their learning. Always try to follow it up with a challenge to push their learning further. #NVedchat
A2: I give thanks and good jobs only when deserved. getting a high 5 is the pinnacle. handed out on rare occasions. S know they mean a ton bc of the lack of them. Makes S appreciate more #NVedchat
R2: This goes back to what one of my former admin colleagues says “Give respect, get respect!” We show respect when we give thanks. This is true character ed. #NVedchat
A2 I think showing appreciation for their hard work does not affect their motivation, if anything it should help and make them feel more ready to take on challenges #NVedchat
A3: I do. I didn't sign up to get thanks, I do it to make a difference. It would be nice to be noticed more for success the S achieve but dont need the thanks honestly. #Nvedchat
R3: I’m not in the business to get thanks. My thanks is when my Ss are successful citizens, both in employment and in their respect in society. #NVedchat
A2 I think showing appreciation for their hard work does not affect their motivation, if anything it should help and make them feel more ready to take on challenges #NVedchat
A4: thanks to @Snehalstocks for creating such a great platform to bring educators together to learn once a week and become better for our students #nvedchat

A3 we always want that pat on the back but if we are always looking for it we may be disappointed- look for the smiles on kids faces & give that back-that’s the reward #NVedchat
A3-part 2 most people teach because we believe it is important, it is a passion job, it would be nice if more people understood the importance of education & supporting those that do it #NVedchat
