A1: We're working on career research and it's getting kind of crazy...sometimes you just have to slow down and allow student to have time to talk about what they've been researching...that's the plan for tomorrow :-) #oredchat
A1: Slowly. I add 1 new tool, teach them how to use it, let them practice, and then move on. Then I can allow choice of tool for assignment. What works best for each is diff, so I allow for choice after training how to use each strategy or tool. #OrEdChat
A1: I try to integrate subjects as much as possible while utilizing real-world project based learning. I try to get rid of anything that is extraneous too #OrEdchat
We appreciate educators so for Christmas 🎄 we’re taking on Santa’s 🎅 role and giving back to educators.

A2: Desmos so they can be creative and understand structure, and collaborative Google Slides to show that they can get ideas from their peers. #oredchat
A2: Transformative learning tools. If we're talking tech, then other than Google Apps, I love @PearDeck , @RecapThat , and #BookSnaps (and it's cousins) for the win! #OrEdChat
A2: @Seesaw and @BookCreatorApp are my favs!! You get out of them what you put in. They have the potential to be extremely transformative or you could use them as a substitute...you have to be intentional in how you use them #OrEdChat
Great! I have a presentation on Google Slides you can check out. I use it to present to educators in MO and will use it in Arkansas this summer. I think this is my QR code. #OrEdChat
A3: I try to give Ss as much time as possible. Individual convos help us determine amt of time needed. We determine together. Some need more than others. #OrEdChat
A3: In English class they are creative in their writing...even when it's research. I try to provide options for each thing we do...I like to have choices, students do too. :-) #oredchat
A3: As often as I can! Ss choice in demo of learning gives chance for creativity. Right now creating: Solutions 4 #novelengineering projects, #geniushour presentations #oredchat
If you can, try Sway by microsoft after Slides. Adds new elements for Ss to create presentations. Good alternate. Ss pick fav when given choice #oredchat
I've got some teachers using @Flipgrid for a variety of content. I'm also supporting 2 buddy classrooms (1st & 5th grade) utilize Google Slides for collaborative projects. #OrEdChat
A3: In Eng & Eng related subjects, I have different opportunities for creativity. Some is writing blogs using Google Sites, #BookSnaps#MyPoetrySnaps (they create their own poems), and recently, a graphic organizer mashed with #sketchnotes . https://t.co/yyNarAWTMg#OrEdChat
A3: Depends on the week...but the majority of the work they do in the classroom has the opportunity for creativity. We do #BookSnaps, we use @piccollage for math, reading, etc., we sketchnote....#OrEdChat
A4: Often times we are given a ton to do and our focus goes in too many directions. I decided to make 2 goals for myself in teaching this yr: teacher clarity and giving better feedback. It’s helped me a lot! #OrEdchat
As an admin I would love my teachers to know I support every minute that is dedicated to being creative! This may help them step outside of the box, their nostalgia and their comfort zone. #kidsdeserveit#oredchat
A4: Do "These are/These are not" w/ definitions. Ex: Triangles, draw triangles on the left of the table, other shapes on the right, have Ss create the definition of triangle. #oredchat
A4: Anytime you can turn the "doing" over to the Ss, it's a win. I find myself trying to create @GetKahoot reviews or other things when Ss could do it, and then I could watch their learning explode. #OrEdChat
A4 Let students evaluate 3 similar apps then decide which to utilize to show learning. Being evaluative is high thinking order. Giving choice helps honor kiddo!! Win-Win. #oredchat
A5: I tend to say yes to many things that are not a priority...my goal this year is to unload some of those items in order to focus on what is important! It’s not easy, but worth it! #OrEdchat
A5: The more we allow Ss to guide their learning, the more we have less to do. Ss want to be in control of what they do, step back and act as facilitator instead of lecturer #PBL helps with this #oredchat
A5: I tend to say yes to many things that are not a priority...my goal this year is to unload some of those items in order to focus on what is important! It’s not easy, but worth it! #OrEdchat
A5: Getting my mindset wrapped around the idea that less is more in what I cover too. I don't have to cover 5 short stories, 2 novels, poetry, and 2 plays. Ss can learn with more in depth with fewer, so quality over quantity is my goal. #OrEdChat
