I'm less about the visual board, and more about the strategies to help readers be as successful as they can. Everyone learns in such unique ways, I want to make sure I hit the needs of each learner in my environment. #1stchat

A3- I love Eric Carl’s books! And I also like using the website, A to Z books. It is really helpful; it allows you to choose the appropriate level and genre that you need. #1stchat

A3: Max and Zoe is a great first chapter book series, Danny or Bella dog books series from Pioneer Press, Junie B, Magic Tree House, Elephant and Piggie, Fly Guy #1stchat
I use the "Who Would Win" books in my writing center! I clip the book shut and they each have to write me a prediction of who would win and why. When everyone has completed that writing center we read the book together to find out! It is definitely a favorite! #1stchat
Have you seen his new Elephant and Piggie take off series like We are Growing and others, these are great too! Lots of speech balloons and ways to show great expression when reading. #1stchat
A4 Fluency practice is always fun and engaging when we bring stories to life using drama! We also like to tie in GoNoodle and Blazer Fresh with their hit: Don’t Read Like A Robot! #1stchat
Yes! Once I figure out where I'll be permanently in my new district I can see a lot more spending on book in my future. This year I seem to be being more mentor texts and read alouds vs books for my K's to read. #1stchat
A4: We talk a lot about these questions: does it look right? does it sound right? does it make sense? After thinking about each of those, my students are able to fix mistakes in their reading. #1stchat
A4. When teaching my student, I found the most successful way to teach was gradual release. She read a book independently on her level. We did a lesson on the book. I showed her how, we did an example together, and then she completed the rest by herself. #1stchat
A4: Also our new favorite this year is our Author Mentor, @ErinDealey ! She has been so amazing and my Ss think of her as our personal author friend! #1stchat
A4: in kinder we are looking for our sight words in books, seeing how pics help us understandthevstory, the Ss who read will retell their book in seesaw or tell me their fav part , we do a lot of me reading and group discussions #1stchat

A6: My Ss are graphing growth in fluency and as they keeping going up in reading levels. They each made goals and are smashing them! It's so exciting to see them celebrate meeting their own goals. I want them to keep having fun in reading and enjoy the adventure! #1stchat
A6: my goal for my Ss is to now take what we have learned and start putting to use, blending our sounds to read, learning more sounds, and just really loving books! So they enter 1st excited to learn more #1stchat
