#WVedchat I'm your host, Tia, from Logan Co. I teach HS ELA - AP Lang., AP Lit., Honors 10, Film Studies and, because CRHS was chosen as an AP Capstone school, next year I will be teaching AP Seminar!
#WVedchat@karlahilliard said she needed to put a spark back in her prof. lit reading life, so that's what we're chatting about! I dusted off my shelf to show you some of my reads (even tried a few #BookSnaps tonight). Hope you'll share some of your favorites, too!
Q1: #WVedchat In Better Learning Through Structured Teaching, Douglas Fisher and Nancy Frey introduced me to the gradual release of responsibility which changed the way I ran my classroom. Tell about a book that changed the way you taught.

A3: I've attended several Carnegie @carnegielearn Math Academies. Each training included a book of high-level tasks to aid in standards-based instruction. #WVEdChat
A3: Deeper Reading by @KellyGToGo and @KyleneBeers When Kids Can’t Read were awesome companions when I was a newbie. They’re the open the book, get a strategy variety. #wvedchat
Gosh, I've been thinking recent. If I go back to newbie land, I have to note Improving Reading by Johns and Lenski. This book was great for finding strategies to help in all five pillars of reading instruction. #wvedchat
